Do all ponies naturally have manes more like Applejack's and Dash's? Would they be more attractive if they didn't style their manes?

In unicorn society, your mane's style would reflect on your social status as some styles required constant maintenance and special materials that were too expensive for common pony folk. Pony spas would become a public alternative after the foundation of Equestria under Alicorn leadership.

This is evident in the animal sanctuary ep when she just had a vague idea of what she wanted and couldn't work properly with other ponies, she lacked vision. Fluttershy's kindness is also a reckless type and tends to backfire way more often than Rarity's.
