Nobody likes Starlight Glimmer period
What feminine trait does she have?
>>41656700The fact she's a cute mare
>>41656700The fact she's a manipulative psychotic bitch
>>41656713Based misogynist>>41656709Nobody in their right mind thinks green+purple+pink is a good color combination
>>41656717That's blue.
>>41656695>Dishonest leader singularly hording truth and powerInto the dustbin
>>41656713Whoa, cool it with the misogyny, chud!
>>41656713>
>>41656695I'm a rightie and she's my gassy marewife.
>>41656695She is a mare. I only see snowpity and a cunt to be filled. Easy.
>>41656741Of course the brapper is a rightoid...
There isn’t a single group of people on this earth that I love more than glimmerfriends, they’re the horsefucker equivalent of geniuses who think for themselves, who question and challenge whatever it is the media tells them. The writers gave them their most brilliant, shining example of an inspiring heroine dipped in glitter-covered gold, and not only did they love it, they even ask for more. They see Glimmer’s supportive and wonderful tendencies as a “quirk” that makes her more “cute,” showcasing that they’ve probably had wonderful relationships in their entire lives, or if they haven’t, they’ll definitely find a healthy and loving one someday. Not only that, they even have the grace to admit they’re thriving and that the admiration for their waifu is well-deserved just because everyone else can see through the writer’s masterful attempt at a twilight archetype to uplift the show and the rest of the mane 6, except much better and with a “heartwarming” backstory. God, glimmerfriends are amazing.
>>41656762Duh, Nazis were also big on gas.
>>41656791fraudulent coward one
>>41656791But Glimmer didn't killed anyone... As far as we know. She's presumably better than nazis.
>>41656802Stop talking like a fromsoft NPC.>>41656809She killed trillions of my sperm with how much cum I've spilled to her over the years.
>>41656695>>>/x/tter go back>>41656741Wtf based fartfag
>>41656816Fraudulent coward one, once you got called out to do your destiny you failed
>>41656816I didn't know you were so supportive to planned parenthood, abortion and contraceptives. Congratulations on the responsible couple!
>>41656695>>progressive >>egalitarian >brags about negative traitsGlimmerfags have their heads on backwards.
>>41656869What did you expect? This is a retarded bait thread
>>41656695>totally anti-individualist, completely collectivist, literally a hive mind>strictly matriarchal>composed entirely of sex workers>species all about lying, basically post-truth>don't even have any concept of money or private property>tries to overthrow the white mare and traditional society>beyond monogamy and can change sex on a whimWhy don't lefties love her and her lings?
>>41656960What's with the dark hat?
>>41656869>progressive>egalitarianGlimmy is neither of those. She is a utilitarian which is a major trait expressed in much of her actions that sometimes gets her in trouble in silly ways. She's a kind hearted pony that just wants to make the world a better place for everyone.
>>41657028>She is a utilitarian>Whoever fucked Sunburst was probably happier to fuck him than I am sad to have not fucked him. The total happiness in the world increased, so whatever.
>>41657040No, she would mind control or rape Sunburst for the greater good because their superior genes would create the ultimate unicorn for the benefit of Equestria.
>>41657065>"Other mares may fuck Sunburst, but I'm the one who gets to have his foal, so who's really winning at the end of the day?"
>>41656778Based, I love my fellow glimmerfriends!
>>41656695I don't give a shit about politics and her backstory and redemption is kinda retarded but I like her. A lot.
>>41657151Retarded?
>>41657155Feels like it got resolved on five minutes when she fucked up an entire town and maybe those timelines (can't tell if she provoked that or she just went with Twilight to those probabilities, science fiction is hard). I don't totally hated her because I really like how awkward she was and partnered with socially inept ponies who any other character would ignore or get bored.
>>41656695>progressiveNot post reform. All hail Twilight's monarchy.>egalitarianNot post-reform.>communalNot post-reform.>strongMagically. Not physically or emotionally.>organizationalChecks out. Anarchists hate her.>smartDebatable. Autistic for sure.>FeminineWell Trixie does wears the pants.
>>41657065Mmm...
>>41657234Those 5 minutes are worth a novel on its own, it's a big rabbit hole of characterization once you start thinking about what it all means. I do get how it can feel like it was rushed since the show doesn't give you enough time to really absorb the information until the episode is over, but I personally love it, it felt like the final piece of the puzzle that contextualizes everything we've seen from Glim Glam up to that point.
>>41656695Not true.>Smart>Magical>Obsessed with her childhood wizard friend>borderline insane>but actually pretty caring in some waysI really like her actually. She also had a great singing voice.
>>41657065SEXOooooooooo
I'm practically a nazi and I love Glimmy
>>41658289Clearly a nazi cringe glimmer nigger.
>>41656695Does she deserve this?
>>41658289>Glimmernigger taking a wholesome moral from a Shimmer's song to make a nonsense nazi post.It had to be a Gimmerfag
>>41656955Good question dubsman, it's basic media literacy after all.
>>41658427Honestly she doesn’t and fuck everyone who says otherwise. >plays earrape music https://youtu.be/HZxAEaZiteE?feature=shared
>>41658439
>>41658439Killing commies is wholesome and it's one of Shimmer's favorite pastimes.
>>41656695
>>41656695I'm what would be considered far right and I like her. What do you mean? She's great in all the aspects once you teach her to get over her childish belief that the world owes you fairness - the idea that the "fight" eventually 'ends' and results in a utopia. Once she's past that, she's not really a commie and her core beliefs and identity transition well to actually productive schools of thought.
>>41658877Neighsay and Filthy Rich don't really make sense here.
I wish she kept the manecut she had when she was a commie. I do not appreciate norwood 5 glimmy
>>41656778
>>41658877I don't get the communism meme, it has nothing to do with cutie marks or friendship in any way.
>>41661426If I said "I don't get the capitalism meme, it has nothing to do with cutiemarks or friendship in any way" would you agree?
>>41661558Are you talking about Flim and Flam, what are you trying to say?
>>41661426Cutie marks are a metric of excellence. Communism crushes economic and social excellence in a misguided attempt at enforcing equity.
>>41661618China is doing pretty well though, they're top 2 in the world. They have a bunch of billionaires too.
>>41656699I'd lick her period
>>41661598I can't know, which is the point. It's a question. It is a slight alteration on your statement because your own perspective is what is needed, not mine. I don't know by what standard you're arguing that communism is uninvolved, and so any counterargument I could offer would be pointless and I don't even know if we disagree. It is you who determines if flim and flam matter or not, and you seem to think they do, one way or the other. So again, it was a question I wanted an answer too.
>>41661641Yeah, only after they privatized industry
>>41661647First you have to tell me what the capitalism meme is, I don't know it.
>>41661618Capitalism crushes economic and social excellence in a misguided attempt at enforcing diversity.
>>41656713Literally feminine traits along with bpd and bring a narc asshole
>>41656713>>41661672But enough about Pinkie Pie.
>>41661680Pinkie Pie when she's in a bitchy mood like in that ep where Cadence was pregnant and she knew about it kinda comes alive as a real person for me.
>>41661655Alright, I can work with that.I don't know what the "communism meme" is other than communism half-existing in some of the episodes. If that was the standard you were using, then you should know what the "capitalism meme" is because it would just be capitalism-things existing in some of the episodes.Instead, you ask me for some specific "capitalism meme" rather than understanding it as a general concept. So, by these standards, you SHOULD have a very specific "communism meme" in mind instead of just communism existing in an episode. So, finally, by your standards, I ask you what the "communism meme" is, and you should be able to answer, unless you're being difficult. And in answer to your question, I never defined "capitalism meme" because it isn't my definitions that matter. I'm asking about you, what it means to you, not to me.
>>41656717>greenI think you need to get your eyes checked.
>>41661686I'm obviously talking about the meme of Starlight being a communist in a fictional magical world of ponies.
>>41661690Ok, so if there was a hypothetical character who did some capitalist things in this fictional magical world of ponies and people called them a capitalist, would you still say "I don't get the capitalism meme, it has nothing to do with cutiemarks or friendship in any way"?
>>41661689>>41656719You will never be blue
>>41661702A real enlightened centralist moment. As in both of you niggers are wrong.
>>41661702I like Glimmy's green-ness, her hairline is a little fucked up, but I think the makes it work, probably linked up with Rarity and got rid of her cope bangs and just accepted what was happening to her mane.
>>41661696>if there was a hypothetical character who did some capitalist thingsThat's the thing, Starlight didn't do any communist things. Which is why calling her a commie makes no sense.
>>41661709She lead a literal commune. >a group of people living together and sharing possessions and responsibilitiesHousing assigned, food assigned, jobs assigned, cutiemarks pooled, resources distributed centrally. Also note that your argument now has nothing to do with the lack of connection between marks, friendship, and communism.
>>41661641China is communist in name and culture only. Its economy and industry are entirely privatized.
>>41661719>She lead a literal commune. Not enough information to say for sure, but either way a commune is not communism.>food assigned, jobs assigned, resources distributed centrally.Need evidence for these claims.>a group of people living together and sharing possessions and responsibilitiesSounds like a family home. Are all households communists?Communism's purpose isn't to remove cutie marks and make lasting friendships.
>>41661738https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_CommuneHe meant this kind of commune.
>>41661728>Its economy and industry are entirely privatized. No the fuck they aren't.
>>41656778She will be princess and alicorn in my fic. Stay tuned, glimmerfriends!
>>41661749How incredibly specific and obscure>>41661738We're talking about the meme, where the meme is people's tendency to call starlight a communist. It doesn't matter if any of that is proven or shown or true. It only matters what impressions audience members might get. If your counterargument is "but she isn't literally canonically a communist dictator", then that's why you don't get it, because that doesn't matter even a little. It only matters if she's emotionally adjacent to being a communist enough for the audience to find engagement in the comparison. You proving that she literally is not a communist wouldn't make people wrong for calling her a communist. As such, the following does not matter.>Housing assignedDouble Diamond: We have a welcome ceremony for new friends! The whole village joins together to build you your own cottage—>food assignedCall me inaccurate if you must, but exactly 1 food item existed on the menu at the local food shop and no bits exchanged hooves. No other food is seen. It's also an issue of the core philosophy they use. Every pony has he same 2 hairstyles. The baker claims not to make muffins any better than anyone else. Things must be the same because differences cause disagreements and strife. Which is worse, a shitty muffin or a shitty pancake? We can't decide, but they are different, and different people would have different opinions about which is better.>jobs assignedThis one may be incorrect, actually. If there's no cutiemark, then there should also be no preference for a particular kind of work. Finding the activity which helps define your place in society and the world is a large portion of what causes a cutiemark to exist. It would be pretty weird for villagers to still act on that basic job-seeking instinct which often causes people to move away from friends to find work. However, the town is small enough, currently, that that isn't a problem.Again however, starlight said Starlight Glimmer: Well, this will certainly provide a boost to our little community. When the rest of Equestria sees that a princess gave up her cutie mark to join us, they'll finally understand what we're trying to accomplish.Which hints strongly that her ideology is meant to spread to the rest of equestria and solve this problem for everybody. The baker-marked mare also works as a baker, which would mean either she was assigned as a baker or she got to choose, and willingly chose the job which puts her at risk of being unequal and makes her look like she's lusting for her mark back. Either option worksAnyway, it's a philosophy and system which encourages people not to do their best and puts people in jobs they have no skill for and the comparison is enough>resources distributed centrally. How exactly did we think we were going to build that house? It seems like resource distribution is often through moneyless storefronts, however, on rewatch. That still makes it a gift directly from the common pot.
>>41661818There is a single fashionable object which we only see one pony using and it has a whole storefront. Rarity doesn't like it. Just a note that boosts the "uniform" point I brought up with their hair. Not really important.
>>41661818>she is not a communist but people calling her a commie are still not wrongI see.>no bits exchanged hooves.Nothing out of the ordinary, bits are rarely exchanged in general. You're just saying Equestria is a communist country.>It's also an issue of the core philosophy they use.Uniforms and dress codes is communism now too? So what, the lack of a dress code is capitalism? Why do some schools and businesses enforce dress codes, are they promoting communism?>The baker claims not to make muffins any better than anyone else.An unambitious or noncompetitive person means it is communism? That type of person is not unique to any system. You've yet to prove where food is assigned. A single bakery having a limited selection only shows that cutie marks help bring variety.>Finding the activity which helps define your place in society and the world is a large portion of what causes a cutiemark to exist.>It would be pretty weird for villagers to still act on that basic job-seeking instinct which often causes people to move away from friends to find work.Losing cutie mark doesn't erase their memories, Sugarbelle knows how to bake already so why not keep baking. And you've been taking the equality shtick way too literally, Sugarbelle is already better than most ponies just by virtue of knowing the steps to baking.>Which hints strongly that her ideology is meant to spread to the rest of equestria and solve this problem for everybody. Her ideology does not scale well so that can't be the case, not to mention she'd be stuck performing the cutie mark removal ritual non-stop for dozens of years.>Either option worksNo it doesn't, you're making it up on the same level as "Starlight is taking back the means of production off screen which proves she's communist.">Anyway, it's a philosophy and system which encourages people not to do their best and puts people in jobs they have no skill for and the comparison is enoughThis vague statement can also be true for capitalism.>How exactly did we think we were going to build that house? The way ponies build homes. Need more substance than that like what the zoning laws are.
>>41662344>Her ideology does not scale well so that can't be the caseAnd when has that ever stopped anyone before?>This vague statement can also be true for capitalism. No? That's just false.
>People think Glimmy communist is a meme
>>41656713Kek
>>41662372The logical conclusion of the meme is that she reforms into a capitalist.
>>41657243My daughter is very cute!
>>41656695I want her to >rape me.
