She wants to distract herself with work in order to avoid thinking about Tough Love. One day, Camera Shy takes an unprompted picture of a striking pony she notices in the woods, Haunting Beauty (white pony). She’s caught with her flash on, and Haunting Beauty immediately advances on her. Simultaneously embarrassed and legitimately scared, Camera Shy enters an autistic ramble about why she loves photography and how it’s a legitimate hobby, not a way for her to creep on people!!11 In said ramble, she mentions how a camera has the ability to capture “what’s inside.” This immediately intrigues Haunting Beauty who, while seemingly normal, actually harbors some disconcerting thoughts and interests. She’s obsessed with dissection, bodily fluids, anatomy, death, decay, etc. She becomes Camera Shy’s muse of sorts, and is desperate to know what lies within her. Haunting Beauty is legitimately very mentally ill, but Camera Shy is just happy to have somebody who appears to get her (and appears to prefer ponies over stallions). My little OC world mostly revolves around Haunting and Camera, but at some point Tough Love returns. The plot is sort of a toxic yuri love triangle. Picrel is how they looked for a while before I further developed their lore and changed designs.
