Was good! The edits make it better overall. The bucket thing is a good attempt but still doesn't make a ton of sense. Really, the easiest explanation would be that they didn't have a bucket, or it was empty. Or they started to put it out, but got scared.

And Pipp comes in with a filled bucket to save the day. You're talking about so much fire if multiple buckets can't put it out. At which point it takes much more organization and teamwork to put it out, something the little foals are probably not capable of. Pipp would have to lead them and it's probably not her strong suit.

The way you have it now, it's almost like the foals would have put it out on their own even without Pipp. The one bucket being larger probably wouldn't matter that much.

I like the one pony who hadn't been spanked before trying to assure herself it won't hurt. I also liked Pipp trying to find the perfect switch.

Our threads almost never touch on it, but some spankings are "just" a few swats. Many school paddlings or canings are 1 to 6 absolutely brutal butt-blistering cracks. Judicial canings are 6 to 24 cuts usually, and they often leave welts that last for a literal lifetime. These bullies will get it hard, with a hard paddle, but maybe not more than 6 swats for any one offense. At Sweet Apple Acres, all whuppin's happen right outside the front door. It gives the ponies in the house some quiet while not wasting time that could otherwise be spent on chores. Chores that could very well be the reason for the whuppin' in the first place. They can't spank too far from the house because it will upset the farm animals or disrupt a harvest.

During Big Mac and Apple Bloom's particularly naughty years, they never even bothered moving the spanking crate back inside, so soon was it needed again. Sweet Apple Acres is a semi-private farm, so the punished little pony can caterwaul all they want under the instruction of Granny Smith's back hooves. Occasionally, somepony comes by for a delivery or to order some apple products. In those cases, the blushing troublemaker waits on the box while Granny attends to grown-up matters.

One year, the Cutie Mark Crusaders got it in their heads to play tag right around all the barrels of cider. That sent 5 barrels straight to the hogs and another 10 that had to be put on discount due to losing some liquid. Worse, with such limited supply, that meant ponies at the end of the line couldn't get any cider at all.

It did make the wait for cider more entertaining, as those in line got to watch Cutie Mark Crusaders Attitude Adjustment in its entirety. First Applebloom got her rump roasted on the box while her friends watched. Then her keister was sent to the side of the house with a whack. Her shrieking partners in crime soon joined her, the red of each filly's caboose nearly matching the Apple family home.

After 10 minutes of time-out, Granny led the three youngsters down the line, counting everypony in line so they could find the unlucky ponies who would not get cider this year. As they passed each cider enthusiast, the CMCs heard snickers behind them, surely from the line-waiters seeing their apple-red flanks up close.

Finally, Granny Smith made them deliver the news to the last 5 ponies who otherwise would have got cider. "Ya can see on their rumps they're sorry... too bad a sore bee-hind don't make cider come back."

This took several hours. At least I have the source files so I can edit in whoever I want.

If you find a vector (or any image) that looks like a good spank pose, I can put it in. You can only do so much with these images. I'm not good enough to change eyelines or move hooves around.

I can post the source layers if anyone wants to edit it themselves.

Steps for the edit:
1. find AB spank pose vector
2. flip her tail around. basic layering to put her hair in front of her tail (based on how she's positioned it looks right)
3. stretch her darker tail lines to meet the lines on the rest of her tail. her tail isn't symmetric so flipping it horizontally means the middle 2 lines don't line up.
4. very basic pencil on tail to match some anti aliasing

5. find Granny Smith vector pose that worked. AB in this pose was a pain in the rump. It looks like there are a lot more poses with the hoof far from the camera being the action hoof. AB's cheek closest to the camera is stuck out farther, so if you combine the two they don't look right.
6. Scale the vector to match size. I found a reference image with both ponies in the same shot.

7. Figure out the positioning of the two. I decided AB would need to be raised up. I wanted her on a haybale but there's no show asset that looks right for a short height. I found a fan made box that matched the style and went with that.

9. Shrink 2D box, copy it, connect lines to make it 3D. Color in the box to mask out the lines from the rear clone.

10. Find a background that made sense. Luckily there was a sweet apple acres vector.
11. Find a position in the background. It needed to be relatively flat and make sense when cropped.
12. Delete unneeded props from background. I had to delete a tree that was in the way. This was in Inkscape. If every image was available as a pure vector I could have edited the entire thing in Inkscape. When every object is just lines, it makes editing much easier.

13. Draw shadows. I consulted some reference images and it looks like pony shadows are always round, and sometimes their body parts are traced if they go outside the shadow. I approximated that with a smaller circle for AJ's tail. I also threw in a shadow on AB's hoof which I think gives it more depth. I even got fancy and added a shadow under AB even though she's mostly on the box. To do that, I drew circle with semitransparent black like the other two. Then I used the rectangle and lasso select to mark out the front part of the box. (Her shadow should hit the ground, not the "vertical" box.) I think giving AB shadows makes sense for consistency with the other two and makes the whole thing seem more real.

It took a lot of trial and error. The positioning was probably the hardest part.
