I'm not suggesting you can cure autism, but for me, the most helpful thing for learning social skills was working retail for a few years. I was thrown into the deep end, I had poor social skills and anxiety, I had to advise customers in a bicycle shop, measure them up for the correct frame size ect. I used to look back at that job as wasted time but honestly I wouldn't be the person I am today without it, I have no problem interacting with people or making friends anymore. I'm still an introvert at heart but I enjoy meeting like minded people and making friends.

Well, it's going to be 2025 in one minute, and my time on this board will come to an end. In just a few more seconds I will close this window, leave this site, and move onto something new.
Will I ever stop loving MLP? Never. I'm in way too deep. But I am more solitary by nature as I have learned and I don't believe the person I am is compatible with a pony community. I'll still draw. I'll still create. Just on my own. Perhaps I'll upload what I create, if just to contribute and do my part to keep the fandom going. But socializing with others, if even about my favorite and most dedicated interest, is not for me.
MLP has been a part of my life for over ten years, so I guess that means I'm stuck with a pony obsession. I'm fine with this. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm really just writing this for myself, as this board has been a big part of my life, having been posting here since I was underage. The idea of leaving is a strange one to me, but I believe it's for the best since I still can't communicate all that well with others, even online. I can't lie to myself and backtrack if I make a public post about my intentions vs writing a local .txt file I can just disregard. It's really just to make sure I mean what I say.
I'm definitely tired and I'm not thinking straight, so hopefully this post doesn't come out too long or too cringe. I'm glad I won't be checking the replies on it.
I really have enjoyed all the threads I've participated in over the years, the streams I've been in, the projects I've helped with. For being the "worst people on the internet", according to everyone else on twitter/reddit/etc, some of you are pretty cool. I'm glad you schizos and you degens were part of my life. I'm getting a bit sentimental over this board now so I'll just stop typing.

In our location, there's tons of convention space but not many options that can accommodate the number of attendees and the space we need (learning this surprised me)
Given the limited options available at drastic price points ($20k to $500k and up), we narrow it down to the best few in our price range
Then those few venues usually can only offer one or two weekends where they can fit us in
The only way to really experience how tough these decisions are is first hand, you're welcome to join and watch the sausage get made or even try and become a Director
But I think we made the best choice possible, and I have every confidence that our Board and staff will make Mare Fair 2025 the best yet

So Anons, I posted about this in one of the first post MF threads and I've been stewing on it a little more and I want to get some opinions:
I want to do a gameshow-esque panel for horsefuckers to prove they are the one true and honest husbando for their wives by answering trivia on their waifu. I think it has a lot of potential as a great panel, or a really disastrous storm of autism, which would still be fun. The problem is is I don't know how to go about it in a way that would allow as much interaction from guests as possible. So far I have two thoughts let me know what everypony thinks or if they have a better idea.

A.) when its time for a specific pony, I hand out white boards and earn points on correct questions, whoever earns the most points will make it and get a ribbon. This would I think be the most fun and fair but could be kind of a hassle on my end.

B.) Hotseat style where one mistake knocks you out,, whoever survives wins and gets a ribbon. Way simpler and easier to keep track of but could probably feel pretty lame to lose to, but also really satisfying for the winrar.

I have one of these too and I can only just barely read sheet music. I have too many things to practice and not enough time to do it. I only know a few songs solely by memorizing the order to hit the keys in.

It's a really fun instrument, I play everything by ear so haven't felt the need to learn sheet, figured out all my favourite songs pretty quick. I'm still figuring out chords, i play during my spare time at work, a few of my co workers have been whistling pony music without knowing what it is :P

What side events pre and post Mare Fair would you faggots be interested in? I know there was the a couple on the Thursday like Kennedy Space Center and the movie screening. Would something like that again be fun to do or what other events would y'all like to do?

I'm the LEGO anon that was mentioned earlier. I've been crunching the numbers and I'll actually be able to get the pieces for five Ary's if things go accordingly.
