Some ponies try to make fillies and colts seem like they're grown-up mares and stallions in ways that are clearly sexual OR in suggestive ways. This is wrong because fillies and colts are still learning in school and growing, and it's not right to treat them like they're older than they are.

It's against the laws of Equestria and hurts the little ponies, imagine how Twilight Sparkle might feel, seeing you having pictures of fillies in a way that's not right.

When fillies and colts are treated in this way by ponies, it can have lasting damage. They might have trouble trusting other ponies, feel ashamed or confused, and struggle to form healthy friendships later in life with other ponies. These actions can leave deep emotional scars that can take a long time to heal.

18 EQU.C. § 2251: Protection of Fillies and Colts from Exploitation

(a) Offenses:

Anypony who:

(1) By use of magic, trickery, persuasion, or any other means, induces, coerces, or threatens a filly or colt to engage in any act of a mature or romantic nature; or

(2) Transports, or causes to be transported, any filly or colt across the borders of Equestria or between its various lands (such as from Ponyville to Canterlot) with the intent that such filly or colt engage in any act of a mature or romantic nature;

shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).

(b) Penalties:

Anypony convicted of an offense under subsection (a) shall be subject to:

(1) Imprisonment in the deepest dungeons of Canterlot for a term of no less than 10-20 moons, or for life, depending on the severity of the offense;

(2) A fine of bits not less than 10.000, to be paid to the affected filly or colt or their family; and

(3) Banishment from Equestria, at the discretion of Princess Celestia or Princess Luna.

(c) Definitions:

For purposes of this section:

(1) "Filly or colt" means any pony who has not yet reached their full adult size and potential.

(2) "Act of a mature or romantic nature" means any action that is suggestive of or involves adult relationships, including but not limited to:

Posing in a manner intended to arouse or appeal to adult desires.
Engaging in physical contact suggestive of adult intimacy.
Performing any act generally considered appropriate only for adult ponies.
Creating or sharing photos that depicts fillies or colts in a sexualized manner.
Holding hooves in a way that is clearly suggestive of adult relationships.

On the subject of self-censorship magic. An interesting idea I had is that the censorship is an aspect of the cartoon filter. The magic of Equestria effects light rays, warping them to conform to the visual style of the show.

The effect is of course distance dependent. So you can see the true details of an object up close, objects loosing significant detail at increasing distance.
