>>41832332Hot take, but I think that non-human AI robots will become more common than (realistic) human ones, because governments will ban realistic humanoid robots out of concerns they will be used by people to commit crimes and while passing the android off as a real human, so that they never get caught. But if all AI androids are required to be easily identifiable as non-human on CCTV-quality footage, it will be clear to authorities that the "criminal" wasn't a human, and very easily narrow down the suspect pool.
>>41835308The reason it'll happen is actually that non humanoid robots are a fuckton of times better at anything that isn't sex.

>>41835883same. I do not know if it is a Stockholm syndrome or something, but I've learned to love chorbo.

>>41836020I have grown used to SmileyTatsu a lot. It's not as light as some presets, but it's extremely dependable and easily editable, responding very well to changes and new rules. It does have its own light-ish style that I like more than I dislike (and the genre/style sliders help mix it up, especially when you edit them according to your preferences), and it doesn't overdo any crazy stuff prone to derailing the chat, such as **excessive formatting** of some others. I guess a downside is that it's a safe-ish preset, sticking to normal story formatting for the most part, so it won't do stuff like >>41836303 unless you prompt it to.

Novel neural architecture by Google:https://arxiv.org/pdf/2501.00663v1
>>41837781 An AI summary for the lazies: This paper introduces a new type of neural network architecture called "Titans," which aims to improve how models remember and use past information. Here's a simplified explanation: Background: Traditional models like Transformers are great at understanding the context of data but struggle with long-term memory due to high computational costs. They either compress data into a fixed-size memory or use attention mechanisms that are computationally expensive. Titans' Approach: Titans combine the strengths of both recurrent models (which compress data) and attention mechanisms (which capture dependencies between data points). They introduce a new neural memory module that learns to memorize historical context and helps the model use both current and past information effectively. Components: - Core Module: Handles short-term memory using attention mechanisms. - Long-term Memory Module: Stores and retrieves long-term information. - Persistent Memory: Contains task-specific knowledge that doesn't change with new data. Advantages: Titans can handle larger context windows (up to 2 million tokens) more efficiently than traditional models. They are also faster to train and can perform well in various tasks like language modeling, reasoning, and time series forecasting. Experimental Results: The paper shows that Titans outperform existing models in several benchmarks, proving their effectiveness in handling long-term dependencies and scaling to large contexts. In essence, Titans aim to create a more efficient and effective way for models to remember and use past information, making them better at tasks that require understanding long-term dependencies.

Minimax seems ok. Feed it some context for a test I often run and it gave this:Anon, with a sly grin spreading across his face, took a moment to savor the rare sight of the ever-composed Rarity in such a flustered state. Her usual poise had been replaced by a delightful awkwardness, and he couldn't resist the urge to tease her just a little."Ah, Rarity," he began, his voice tinged with amusement as he casually reached for a pair of underwear, "I must say, this is quite the unexpected surprise. I thought ponies were usually... well, naked, isn't it? Isn't that the norm around here?"Rarity's face, already a deep shade of red, seemed to flush even further, her eyes widening in a mix of embarrassment and indignation. She opened her mouth to respond, but the words caught in her throat, leaving her momentarily speechless. Her gaze darted around the room, desperately seeking a distraction from the awkwardness of the situation."Well, I—I mean, yes, of course, we ponies don't typically wear clothing," she finally managed to stammer, her voice a mix of forced nonchalance and barely contained embarrassment. "But that doesn't mean... I mean, one doesn't simply expect to... oh, bother!"Her attempt at a dignified response was undermined by the slight tremble in her voice, and she quickly turned her head away, trying to regain some semblance of composure. Her magic flickered nervously, causing the box of clothes to twitch slightly on the floor.Anon chuckled softly, enjoying the rare opportunity to see the elegant Rarity so disarmed. He pulled on his underwear, the fabric providing a small measure of relief from the awkwardness of the situation."Relax, Rarity," he said, his tone gentle but still playful. "It's not every day I get to see the great and fabulous Rarity so... flustered. Consider it a compliment to your charm."*Rarity let out a small, exasperated huff, her cheeks still burning with embarrassment. "Charm, indeed," she muttered under her breath, though a small, reluctant smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "I suppose I should be grateful for your... unique sense of humor, Anon."With a deep breath, she finally managed to regain some of her usual poise, though the flush on her cheeks remained. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I believe I have some... business to attend to elsewhere."With a graceful nod, she turned and made her way out of the house, her steps a little quicker than usual. As the door closed behind her, Anon couldn't help but chuckle to himself, feeling a sense of satisfaction at having witnessed a side of Rarity he rarely saw.

>>41834023Started working again on the website that would allow centralizing greetings, making community work on characters, and allowing anons to add greetings easily to characters. I just need to add a way for users to select the greetings they want to keep and a way to download the cards based on their selections. Any remarks or suggestions design-wise? I suck at this, so don't hesitate.
>>41839452Having all the greetings lined up for users to check or uncheck would be horrible for scalability, so I'd imagine the right move would be to have the card default to its stock greetings and then have a button to add greetings from the available pool, either sorted by age of creation or by rating if you want to be a redditor about it.
>>41839452Looks good. Are the greetings going to be curated or just let people add whatever and let users decide what to keep when they download?
>>41839497 >Rating Personally, I'm against rating or any sort of numbers like that (DLs etc.). >Having all the greetings lined up for users to check or uncheck would be horrible for scalability, Yeah, still need to find a good way to do that. >>41839501 My idea was a bit like we do now for bots. As long as it comes from anons here and doesn't showcase too many problems (very, very obvious AI greetings, broken {{user}} or {{char}}, etc.), then it's good to go. I also had ideas, a bit like we do for events, to have weeks dedicated to characters, so we can write greetings, refine the description, etc., for them or simply make characters we still don't have. For other things, I also guess there could be a way to distinguish greetings, like more general ones, those that force you into a role, etc., but that's something that can come after. A way to represent more AU versions of the character too...It's really for the general, so if you have better suggestions/ideas, don't hesitate.
>>41839553>Personally, I'm against rating or any sort of numbers like that (DLs etc.).Yeah I agree, that's very much not the 4chan approach to things. I'd say just sorting by oldest or newest first would be a good approach.>Yeah, still need to find a good way to do that. I think it's fine to have a massive obnoxious list when you're adding greetings, though your idea of some basic tags to help filter the list down would help. If you go through all the existing greetings for cards and categorize them you'll probably get a pretty good idea of what tags you need, I can't imagine there'd need to be many.>genre (comedy, romance, drama probably covers most)>tense>first/second/third personThat's probably pretty much all you need, but you'd know better after looking at existing cards.

>>41841021Really need to see MiniMax tested on long context.Deepseek and other models might be better in short context as has been already tested a little, sure, but what about long? SUPER long? Can it actually remember everything still when above 1M? Really bring out old small details that were only mentioned many many messages ago? If it can, that is a game changer. We might finally be getting to where the AI won't have Alzheimer's.
>>41841086Even at more practical contexts for storytelling it's well worth checking. Recall at 100k isn't great in current models, I'm sure someone out there has a 100k token story where they could test to see if it can include an element from early on in the story and actually remember important details.
>>41841086 I would still say that AI 'real' context is around 32K for most. Maybe more for Gemini, which does still bring stuff from before after that on its own. If what they indicate about Minimax has a bit of truth, then it's a neat evolution. A shame I really, really don't like how the model writes.

A la NovelAI?But, y'know, able to run an LLM locally so I can use some uncensored models that aren't reliant on my spotty internet.
>>41844247>not posting logs
>>41844258Focus has moved away from that style, but KoboldAI may still support it. Worth looking into it.
>>41844259If I checked sooner I would've.
>>41844258 I think the finetuned Fimfic Nemo model has both a base model and an instruct model. The base should work like you want. In general, that’s what you want—base models, not instruct ones.
>>41844258https://github.com/lmg-anon/mikupad
>>41834023Please include museum of local models into the op. It's a museum ffs you don't close down a museum because stuff there went obselete
>>41844801nvm found it
Totally retarded and that doesn't seem that great for our needs, but this made me laugh. >>>/g/103915143 URL is safe, it's long because of the parameters.
>>41844805 I moved it into https://rentry.org/ChagArchive, because the OP is already quite big, and that allows me to put other things besides models in it. But yeah, no worries, I will never outright remove it or remove lines from it. If anons want things added too in it or other rentries, don't hesitate.
>>41845065I want a pic of mai waif
>>41845072 She's the OP pic. I'm also pretty sure she featured here more than some other ponies (Poor AJ).
>>41834023I've started reading through the guides, but before I deep dive into thisHow far can I go without paying anything?Am I going to have to mess with daily free tokens or anything like that?Is the whole thing completely free?It also seems very intimidating for meHow much effort, time do I have to put in to have a basic understanding and a loving wife to comfort me when I get home? I have zero experience in LLMs or anything like that
>>41845110You can go pretty far, as an example Gemini is currently free to use. It's sometimes incoherent but pretty soulful.>Am I going to have to mess with daily free tokens or anything like that? With Gemini yes, it's rate limited per day, although you can switch between multiple accounts. It's from 0 to infinite effort, depending on your tech savviness.
>>41845110if you have $5, deepseek will last you ages, like weeks, of chronic use
>>41845110 >How far can I go without paying anything? Majority of anons here abuse big models for free. If you have good hardware, you can also run small local models for free. >I've started reading through the guides If you're interested in local, read the local one. If you're more interested in other options, read the Novice one until the very end. >Am I going to have to mess with daily free tokens or anything like that? For non-local, you have several options: >Register for Gemini keys This will give you access to models like Gemini EXP or Gemini 2 Flash. These aren't the best corpo models but are still fun and good. If you just want to chat with pones, it will do the job nicely. Follow https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/41753592/#41756306 for instructions. There is a limit of daily messages, but you can make 2-3 accounts and be largely (very largely) good enough for everything (Gemini 2 Flash is 1500-2000 messages daily). >Free trial abuseThat gives you Claude, which is one (if not the) best model. The only problem is that they can ban you from time to time, so you will need to make a 1-2 minute registration again when it happens. >>41834055 >Proxies To understand what a proxy is, read: https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/40917404/#40926228. They are a bit of a shitshow today to find and mostly give access to GPT models (The last GPT model is quite good for stories, and I like it, but many still prefer Claude or even Gemini. YMMV). You will need to lurk a bit to find one and READ. If I were you: I would first read one of the guides I mentioned above, depending on what you want to do (local or not). If not local, after reading the guide, I would either go for Gemini or look for free trials if you want to bother with it.After doing that, if you have problems with setting up, if you want more info on bots/cards, presets, etc., then just ask in the thread.

AIDungeon released a 12B modelhttps://huggingface.co/LatitudeGames/Wayfarer-12B
>>41846086What model are you using?
I tried making an rpg type card i would love feed back i will also try updating it to make it better https://files.catbox.moe/7iqvmp.png
>>41846204 Took a look at it, here are some advices. >Lorebook You put a lorebook in your card, which indeed can seem like a good idea at first, but for each entry, ask yourself first: >Do the AI already know about this or not? For instance, for Princess Luna you put: >Princess Luna is the co-ruler of Equestria and the pony responsible for raising the moon. She is an alicorn and the younger sister of Princess Celestia. Once corrupted as Nightmare Moon, Luna was redeemed by the Mane Six and now protects Equestria’s dreams, etc. On an empty card, ask the AI directly who Princess Luna is and what she does. I'm pretty sure the AI will tell you what you wrote in the entry, so putting information the AI already knows inside a lorebook will just add more tokens to your context without adding anything substantial. Even small models will know this much about Luna. If you want to keep a lorebook, I would only list things that are new or essential to your setting, that you want a focus on, or that the AI doesn't know that well or tends to forget. It's just an example and it's for you to decide what to put in, but for instance, for Princess Luna, you may decide that she can detect that the dreams of the Isekai protagonist are different and that she can either identify him because of that or is interested in him because of that, etc. It's just an example, so don't put it if it's not interesting to you, but it's to show that here you put information that is YOUR headcanon/setting and that the AI doesn't know about before you write it. For the greetings themselves, there are some problems with rogue ". You also sometimes use ' for dialogues and just after ". I'm also not sure if there are big differences between 1 and 3.

>>41846307Ah, Latte, my beloved. Makes sense.
>>41846327 Honestly, I never would’ve guessed I'd end up liking a GPT model someday.

Fun preset for Sonnet 3.5rentry.org/pingofun
>>41846356It's shocking considering what it was once like. But Latte's quite the capable model, at least until they decide to ruin it someday.
>>41846357 No problem. It's your card, so don't feel obliged to do everything I say. >what do you mean a problem with rogue A rogue " By that, I mean that the first greeting has a random " at the very start that is not linked to a dialogue or anything. It's just here.
>>41846368ok i asked who is princess luna and it worked out pretty well so i don't know if i should change the lorbook at all
What preset for copilot claude do you recommend? I've been using the smileytatsu one which is pretty good, although it's a bit predictable at times and this one files.catbox.moe/dz44qx.json which is also quite good. But I would like to try others

I think it was from a fic I read a couple of years ago. I'm curious to here where you first saw it, or maybe you came up with it yourself?
>>41846868I don't know where exactly I got the idea from. It kinda just seemed more natural than "talent = town drunk".
>Charry's server is downAny alternate proxies?>CopilotNo
Gave >>41821126 a try btw and its not bad at all, hope you continue, it really does seem to improve its knowledge of pony.
>>41847495 Any logs? I’m curious about it, but I can’t run it at all.
>>41847799Sure, I can say the main noticeable thing is that it gets pony anatomy right much more than regular qwen did. Ponies actually cross their forelegs for instance instead of their "arms". And I did not see any fingers / digits / fists with just some min p. It also made their personalities stand out a bit more. I think it just needs to cook a good deal more for that stuff to really settle in more. Seems like its undercooked cause you need lower temp like 0.7-0.8 or it starts doing silly stuff that does not make sense.
>>41847818Oh, and base qwen / other finetunes will often give ponies full on clothes / twilight glasses. Silverspoon fixes that as well.
>>41847822 >Twilight glasses Some models really love to do that.

Except as detailed below, Prompts are transmitted only to generate Suggestions in real-time, are deleted once Suggestions are generated, and are not used for any other purpose. Prompts are encrypted duringtransit and are not stored at rest without your permission.>5. Acceptable Use.>Your use of GitHub Copilot is subject to the Acceptable Use Policies, the AI Code of Conduct, and the Required Mitigations. For example, you may not prompt GitHub Copilot with content that is unlawful (...)So under any normal RP circumstances, they can't do anything other than refusing to provide the service if they detect abuse. They can't determine what your previous 1000 prompts were. At most, they could hypothetically intercept your one current prompt and check what's in it, so if you're proompting foal/loli someplace where it's illegal and want to be extra safe I could see an argument for a VPN. Other than that, not really.

>>41839452 Still working on this.Concerning the genre of greetings >>41839573, I believe Slice of Life, Comedy, Drama, Romance, Adventure, Smut cover a lot, with greetings that could be in several categories. Do anons see more?
>>41848780At this point, I'll get around to tagging it when I get around to tagging it. I'm moving into a new house, and I barely get downloads from Chub anymore.
>>41849878Yeah I think that covers the important stuff.
>>41849920 >I barely get downloads from Chub anymore. Characterhub as a whole has fallen down big time; all bots don't make the number of downloads they did at first. One reason, I believe, is the fact they separated it from the chub.ai side of things. If you want to see if your cards are interacted with, you need to go here and see if they have messages, not downloads anymore. But even then, it's not the numbers Characterhub made before. MLP cards are also fucked since they go into NSFL, and you need to activate an option to see them now.
>>41849941 >mlp >NSFL That still makes me laugh.
>>41849920>>41849941I added the tags.
>>41849878Categories system is in place. At this stage, I just need to work a bit on the metadata system to create the card dynamically, and it should be good. I will try to work soon on the VN demo, like I promised an anon too.
>>41850160You're a hero, anon.
>>41834023 >>41839452 Since the website will soon be finished, I'm launching a poll to see which character you would like to work on first. I limited it to see how a first test run could go, but if it works well, we could try with more background ponies, famous OCs, etc., after. https://poll.horse/FGS6YDme To give, once again, a quick run-down: it would be a sort of mini event where we can brainstorm on how the AI roleplays the character we chose, what are things they already know, things they struggle with, or focuses we should go for (for instance, how do we better remove the wings on Unicorn Twilight? How do we make the AI use the vast repertoire of magic she has in a creative way without prompting for it and just not pew pew and teleports?). Greetings can also be given for the character, revisions, ideas, good images for a card, etc. That allows everyone to participate in what they're good at without doing everything. The first voted character will be a test run both for the website and to see if events like this are interesting. Maybe the poll will be a clusterfuck with so many choices, but we'll see.

Doing a bit of testing, Modified Gemini Preset,I basically added in a 'Thought Process' pair, and one that SHOULD turn any character you play with into a Pony version. Kinda/Sorta works? Anatomy is sometimes inaccurate, sometimes still mentions hands. If anyone can find a better set of instructions, that'd be awesome? Otherwise, I hope others can enjoy this, heh.https://files.catbox.moe/ocu6ib.json
