All the podcasts, convention livestreams, he wanted EFN to be the premiere spot for them all and he’d sink his own money to make that happen. He took competition seriously when most other fan news outlets didn’t care that much. When some shows did not want to join EFN, he would nag them and sometimes even pull some strings in the background to make them look bad.He wanted a foot in everything community related too. A good example was LPU when he wanted EFN to be the one that organised all the donations and kept emphasising that the fandom was coming together under his umbrella to do it. There was another instance where they turned up to a convention and almost immediately took over part of their tech crew. Forgot what else they did but you can probably find old podcasts about it. I don’t deny that they provided a lot of cool interviews and streams, but the way they carried themselves needed to go.
