It is the perfect finale, has been built up for a significant part of the season, which is signifciant when you have a show consisting mostly of standalone episodes, without any real progression or consequences until later seasons dropped.It was a really, really amazing end to the first season. It was also the first episode I watched and it's significantly nostalgic to me, but damn is this gentle set-up type of storytelling rare in cartoons. You either get a massive cliffhanger that can't go unresolved unless the show gets cancelled or something or things just happen out of nowhere most of the time.Damn, I love this episode so much.

They're a great pairing for comedic episodes.The animators even put in the effort of putting special relativity mathematics on Twilight's blackboard, complete with Lorentz factors and everything, as you would expect from time travel calculations.
