You've been in Equestria for about half a year. At the end of every month, the girls have a game night. It's usually a friendly game, nothing too serious, but tonight Twilight lets you pick. You decide to teach them a game from Earth Called Uno.

How long until the girls want each other dead?
>>
>>41838522
They won't. They can survive a little Uno. It's actually a really fun game if you include the right house rules.
>>

Why would I teach them a game for 8-year-olds? We're playing poker, H.O.R.S.E.

>alright girls, so the name of the game is Axis and Allies, Second Edition
>I'll get started setting up the board, you girls go save a few villages, meet me back here in 6 hours

Why would I teach them Uno when I could teach them Mao instead?

What about monopoly

And by that you mean the actual rules, where it says that you only draw one card and move on if you don't have a card you can play. The 'just keep drawing' house rule is what makes people fucking hate the game.

Yes, but only when the mirror portal is active. The phase of the moon is wrong, so right now you're stuck.
>>

Actually I was talking about the 0's make everyone trade hands with the next player, 7's let you chose someone to trade hands with, you can play a draw card on top of an draw card of the same type to pass that draw to the next player, and playing a card with identical color and type to interrupt someone else's turn rules.

Wack. I'm tired of playing board games with these gay horses.
>>
>>41838936
Good lord. I mean those will definitely spice it up but I feel like you'd want at most two of those, ideally just one.

It once a month

The stacking draw cards rule is the big one. Not only does it make the game swingier, it allows a player to impact another player that's not next in the turn order, or in extreme cases bite a draw chain they started that comes all the way back to them. You can even collude with other players to slam someone in the lead. It's very fun, but makes the game feel pretty bad on their own. Hand trading makes it less bad because a giant hand is more about passing it to somebody else than dealing with it yourself. It also allows for a bit more depth if you have a good memory and can track what cards are in who's hand. Interrupting turns with identical cards is a catch up mechanic since you can do it more often the more cards you have in hand.

So I don't think you can lose just one. All these rules complement eachother, and leaving one off would break the others.

Because nothing says "the Magic of Friendship" like driving your friends into bankruptcy.

I don't get it, why do people argue with each other over board games? I play uno with a family pretty frequently with all the rules (0s, 7s, draw until you can play, interruptions, unlimited draw card stacking) and we genuinely have fun. Even when someone has to draw like 16 cards or misses his turn for the 10th time, we've never had an argument. Before uno we've been playing monopoly but we stopped in favor of uno because we were never able to finish a game in one evening.
I'd love playing this game with ponies, I bet Pinkie would love it too.

I still have an unopened box of Monopony that I got free from a raffle at a brony meetup back in the day. Not sure if I should open it or hang on to it and maybe donate it to one of the charity auctions at a convention.

I dunno, it's kinda retarded. My family used to accuse me of cheating at every board game every time I would win. It made me never want to play.

Oh good they got applejack.
>>41840081
Terrible plan, if you do this, you'd have to play monopoly.

Thank god they saved $0.000000024 on that, I don't know how Hasbro could've recovered.
