You see, in Asian comic or animation context, there is a kind of character trait named "黑皮", the "Black skin" or "Dark skin". This word refers to character with dark skin---only the skin color. But Americas loves to call "黑皮" black race whenever they see it, which is really disgusting. Back to the pic, Pinkie here is simply a girl with dark skin, not "non-white", not white, just anime girl with dark girl, that's it. She doesn't have any black features.

It's an alright look for her, but she's the one pony with an already potentially human hair color, a Rainbow being a blonde instead looks weird and out of place.
