In a world where they hadn't gotten involved, four ponies would've died in a cart accident and potentially more in the other disasters. The whole point of the first part of the episode is that Rainbow's overconfidence starts affecting her performance, she's more interested in the fame than helping people and that's the core problem.

Based on how it's animated she was going to fuck up the rescue too, though I'll accept that that's just the animators wanting to make a gag rather than what they really intended for her. The dam disaster, the construction problem and the cart all were situations where people would've likely gotten seriously hurt if Dash dealt with them all alone, though.

That's a terrifying experience that I would wish on nobody and it was cruel of Rainbow Dash to do that.She's shown multiple times spending time bragging while the situation gets worse, and that's an example of her behavior not just being harmless fame but rather an active problem. If she was being more proactive and trying to stop problems sooner her rescues would be less dramatic but there would also be significantly less risk.
