A week ago, I had a dream about Mare Fair 2026. My memory is spotty about it, but here's what I do remember:In it, Snowpity Inc decided to move the con to Dubai, and they were building an artificial island that had a very complex shape, but subtly inlayed the shape of a giant horsepussy within. Near the end, I was yelling at the staff for how bad of a choice Dubai was, because of how expensive it is to get there, and how I wouldn't be coming back next year. It wasn't helped by having very few panels (there were maybe 8-9 in the whole pamphlet), and what happened in the opening ceremony video. There was a sequence in it where the mascots were on one of those MLP movie airships in a hurricane-like storm and Mimosa got blown off-deck to her implied death, in reference to them relocating away from Florida. It was meant to be tragic, but the whole thing felt incredibly mean-spirited in the moment. Despite the inside of the venue resembling the Rosen Center for the most part, it did have a movie theatre, but said theatre also had a ridiculous slope to it. You needed to actually climb up and down to reach different rows of seats, and the screen was so close that you couldn't see the whole thing from anywhere in the room. The dream world really needs to find better architects. Bad design is par for the course there. That's besides the point, though.What did my dream mean, anons? Could it be prophetic in some way?

Welp, it happened.I dreamed I finally went to Mare Fair.And for a bit the dream was surprisingly realistic, perhaps because I came *very* close to waking up.Earliest I can remember is-Well, sorry, earliest I can remember is watching some REALLY weird pony video where Rarity kept getting transformed into stuff.Anyways, later in the dream I arrived at Mare Fair, and obviously needed to do badge pickup (this is when I briefly realized I was dreaming). The weird part was that Disney was holding some kind of official event at the same hotel, and the badge pickup areas were shared. So I'm going in wearing an orange normie t-shirt and beige cargo shorts, and I guess because of that, the Disney cast member people are talking to me like I'm going to their event, with some guy even greeting me with a Mickey impression, only for me to awkwardly pick up a Mare Fair badge (which included a free Mimosa lanyard).From there I'm trying to figure out where on earth the regular (base admission) linecon starts, as there's multiple lines that stretch so far I can't tell if they're separate or one continuous one. All attendees seemed to be in their 20s, and there were also a surprisingly high number of femanons there. Literally no one had pony or anon cosplay though; there *might* have been some emo/goth dressed people, if anything.There was then this complete sidetrack where some Vacation Bible School group passed through the common area, and long story short I was amused by the combination of a Vacation Bible School, official Disney event, and Mare Fair all happening in the same building.Back to Mare Fair though, I did eventually find the end of the line in some small room at the far end of a hallway. From there I...don't exactly remember what happened, just that later I was in some small panel room. It was maybe eight chairs on each side of the center isle, and only 10-15 rows deep. There was an elevated "stage" in the front, with a a single projector screen on the far right side. I was sitting almost directly in front of the screen, and the panel was...just audience Anons putting on pony videos to watch. There were only a few Anons (maybe 5) in the room while I was there, and I distinctly remember pausing a video of some really boring (maybe stillframe-animated) fanfic to point out logical issues with it. While some Anon on the opposite side of the isle agreed with me, I still realized I probably shouldn't have paused the video to just speak my mind. I think I left the panel shortly after that.I felt kinda awkward through the entire con experience.Beyond that though, I don't really remember much. I think I woke up not long after the panel, probably due to the neighbors doing yard work.

Hello anons, I'd like to lay some rumors to rest and clarify a few things. First of all, PTS v.IRL: The Maresical was indeed recorded by A/V. The recording isn't perfect since the microphone situation was a bit of shitshow, and that takes some time to deal with. I've been slowly working on it since I got home. Overlaying all of the visuals shown on the screens also takes time. I've been recovering from con crud which has slowed things down, and I'm still a bit under the weather sadly. In addition to that, every panel before 10PM each day was also recorded, not just the panels in the Mare Stage. That said, I am lacking any audio for panels that occurred on Saturday in Faust's Home for Abandoned OCs. I won't lie, the Maresical kinda killed my Saturday and I didn't start any of my personal backup audio recorders in the panel rooms, and for some reason there's just no audio from what I was given by A/V for Saturday's panels in Faust's Home. I'm sorry for that, and take full responsibility. In general I really appreciate the A/V team, and they enable a lot of the amazing moments at Mare Fair to be enjoyed all over again. It's not something any other pony con really does these days. If you do have audio for any of Saturday's panels in Faust's Home for Abandoned OCs, please let me know. I do have the video for them. Generally, I guess I also want to say it's just me doing the editing and uploading of panel footage. A/V's job ends once I get the files at the end of the con. Please understand this stuff takes some time.
