Question for Dashfags. I know a lot of people feel that the writers made Dash way more of a cunt in the later seasons because they sucked at writing. What I want to know is what (You) personally consider the cutoff? Do you think the writers started fucking her up in season 7? 5? I'm trying to get a feel for what all the waifu fags generally feel the cutoff point to be for their personal favorite pony. So when do you think the writers made her too much of a cunt, assuming you think that at all? Or do you think her later season episodes are fine and people just complain too much?Thanks in advance for any responses.

Every answer you can get would be technically correct because it's been happening literally since season 2.That being said, for me the turning point was always season 6. I'd say that not just for Dash but for all the Mane 6, even though it was obviously much more painful seeing Dash becoming an absolute moron. This is not revisionism, I could literally show you my post in Dash threads from 2016, this show died for me the day I watched Newbie Dash.When we got the massive leaks during season 9, we could see the materials the new writers were getting each season, and coincidentally season 6 was the moment they *reduced* those materials. I feel completely vindicated in hindsight, to me that season was way too different from the previous ones, it was no surprise at all discovering that the writers in that season actually knew *less* about the characters.I do realize my post might feel contradictory because I literally said that the writers had been making the characters forget stuff since season 2. I think the huge difference is that, in season 6, the characters were no longer forgetting stuff they had learned during the show, they were forgetting stuff they already knew at the beginning of the show, and even after the alleged character development in the episode, by the end they're still stupider than they were before the episode. There wasn't character development anymore, it was literal anti-development. To me this never happened before season 6, but it happened more times than I can count starting with that season.tl;dr: fuck season 6

Initially thought Dash was just the comic relief character, then she actually turned out to have a lot of depth. Her singing voice in the gala finale did me in, after that I started searching Dash romance on fimfiction and read some stories that really expanded on her softer side that was hinted at in the show. That put me head over heels for her. I started writefagging in 2015 or 16 I can't remember specifically. Honestly it only covers about 20% of the total but it was never about trying to make a profit, it has always been a work of passion that was going to happen regardless of how much support there was. It's just that more support makes it happen faster. And don't wait to write. Sometimes I'll be at work and suddenly think of a new way to compliment her, or something cute I could say to her. I just make a little note on my phone and review them every once in a while. I don't neccesarily think this is a bad thing, but it comes with it's own emotional baggage that I've never really been able to talk to anyone else about. Having Dash come along and face the same sort of issues (though they might manifest in different ways) really resonated with me and gave me someone to share my struggles with and open up to. It also helps that she is the most beautiful mare I have ever laid my eyes on. Sorry if a bit blogposty.
