>>42941198It started out interestingly enough with a simple and down to earth concept:"What if Celestia retired from her princess duties and instead became your roomate?"However, what should've been something simple to follow up with quickly devolves to a game of cat and mouse with yanderetarded twilight and her retard friends chasing you to the ends of the world until you and Cel finally cook up a magical bullshit plan to beat her that works. (Fuck the trials of equus, easily the most boring and dragged out arc that should've been just the confession part, period.) There are no character arcs, characters just act retarded then regret acting retarded (Dash, Shy and Rarity) There's barely any romance (to say there's even enough to call this a romance novel), the titular duo (Anon & Cel) are way too shy and scared to make moves so it takes ages for them to get going but because they're constantly being distracted by Tardlight Spergle, the problem is made exponentially worse. The fact this fic is this long and implied sex at the last chapter is the most that we get since the actual marriage with Celestia happens off-screen is downright embarassing. There's more writting dedicated to a fake marriage with Twilight than a real marriage with Celestia, like, what the actual fuck?The only main Fim characters that remain somewhat unscathed are Pinkie and the Apple family, but even then, they barely do anything beside helping on the big action moments. No vital roles to the story and no big character moments, just a joke here and there and that's it. They mostly just stand there smilling and waving like background prompts or are cut out entirely for several chapters.The biggest issue though is the lack of planning from the author, stuff just happens with no rhyme or reason as to why other than stuff needing to be happening all the time. The plot never stays focused on what it's actually building up to so you never get a satisfying payoff to anything set up before being thrown into a new situation where the status quo remains unchanged. It's so lame.For example, Twilight's character assassination is justified by some evil ancient magic taking over her mind because I guess the author got tired of hearing complaints about Twilight being the villain, I guess...? (This ancient evil magic never gets explained BTW). It's so stupid I'd actually rather had the author commit to the bit of Twi being clinically insane for human dick but instead, he HAD to start taking the story seriously later on for the sake of REALISM that only serves to hinder the pacing and the tone further. In fact, forget the romcom side of things altogether and instead just turn the whole thing into a cheezy soup opera for LE DRAMA.It's an understatement to call the pacing bad, everything takes forever to happen and barely ever do you get a proper conclusion to anything that doesn't leave you wishing you got more.Overall, it's just not very good.Wouldn't recommend.

It made me appreciate it when she (and/or Luna and Cadence) are depicted using it in other fics.But I’ll admit that objectively it’s probably not the best Waifulestia story in the world in retrospect.
