Blur vs Gorillaz

Choose..
>>
blur has like three good songs

gorillaz has a solid 3 album run before falling into questionable territory with everything after The Fall

Plastic beach isn't good.
>>
Can’t choose. Both based
>>
>>121553249
Yes it is
>>
>>121553256
It had good singles, the album sucked.
>>
>>121553274
But you're wrong. It has good singles as well as that early gorillaz thematic album charm
>>
>>121553249
Not as good as Demon Days, but it's a solid 6.5/10.
>>
>>121553255
Blur - first couple albums suck
Gorillaz - last couple albums suck
its a mixed bag, but overall Gorillaz have more good stuff i think

Plastic Beach is the worst of what's now seen as their classic run but I don't think it's bad. It definitely has some really weak offerings though and doesn't feel as tied to the zeitgeist from when it came out as ST or DD do.

anyone else love this more than the actual version? it sounds like a creepy carnival.
>>

Blur, of course, because it's actually music.
>>
>>121553177
The first two Gorillaz albums easily beat Blur's entire discography. Damon Albarn's voice is more suited for that trip-hop kind of music.
>>
>>121553177
both are unfathomably terrible
>>
>>121553177
blur if you are british
gorillaz for everybody else
>>
I choose Blur because Gorillaz newer stuff hasn't been that good. Blur had a more consistent output, but I think Gorillaz hit higher peaks
>>
gorillaz just sounds like blur recorded inside someones bedrooms. its basically the same band

think modern life is rubbish, gorillaz, darr all compete for top spot
>>
gorillaz
blur has too much of that "oi m8 wanna have a cuppa tea lad look how cheeky and british i am m8" going on and i dont like that era. s/t and 13 are good but i cant stand the parklife/modern life is rubbish era.

gorillaz just makes cool tunes and their sound is way more interesting. they build off that direction blur were starting to head on 13
