Is 24 years old too late to discover and get into My Chemical Romance?
>>
>>121566593
Yes, just accept that you missed the window and move on with life
>>
>>121566596
no :((
>>
>>121566593
Why would you want to listen to pleb trash?
>>
I know this is probably a joke thread, but musical artists have strict age ranges that you must abide by. I wanted to get into Miley Cyrus at 26, but Spotify denied my streaming request.
>>
>>121566593
Nope, never too late. Nothing compares to being a teen and getting obsessed with them, but start with Three Cheers and go to Bullets if you want a similar but rawer sound, and go to Black Parade if you want a glossier sound. Only go to Danger Days if you liked the poppier parts of Black Parade, otherwise listen to Conventional Weapons.
>>
>>121566708
I found three cheers to be rawer, bullets just sounds like more punk rock
>>
>>121566593
At 24, you should be getting into good, mature music, not bad, immature music.
>>
>>121566593
No, wait until at least 25 for your "I don't care what people think of me and my taste in music anymore I listen to everything" phase. You should be listening to Feldman and Xenakis right now.
>>
>>121566777
already got into it when I was 15 now I'm over ''mature'' music
>>
>>121566836
>Lol imagine being "mature" fuck that you know who holds their fork properly at the dinner table? NOT ME
>>
>>121566859
ok manchild
>>
>>121566859
>Stop caring that people judge you for still wearing diapers and crying when you poopie yourself.
>>
>>121566836
And when do you turn 17 young man?
>>
>>121566875
I didn't say that.

>>121566874
At least I'm not pretending to be "over mature music."
>>
>>121566899
you unironically call music music mature and immature, you're a overgrown child neckbeard incel trying to be a big boy with big boy taste, dive off a cliff retard
>>
>>121566929

Yes.

Bro just do whatever you want it’s not like random people on /mu/ are going to be monitoring you and see what you are listening to.
>>
>>121567307
Actually, I will be monitoring OP for appropriate age music listening.
>>
>>121566593
People need to stop asking this dumbass question about things.
>>
>>121566593
Yes. It's too old to want to aswell lol. Can we stop pretending Ots Rock was good yet? I like some Nu Metal but the rest is soulless.
>>
>>121567932
the best rock albums of all time (Is This It?, Turn On The Bright Lights and Silent Alarm) are from the 00s
>>
>>121566593
Listen to whatever makes you happy and enriches your life.
>>
>>121566777
you've never had sex have you?
>>
>>121566593
No. Gerard Way was 24 when he witnessed 9/11 and wrote the first mcr song. You are actually the perfect age.
Bullets hit different when I listened to it again at at that age.
>>
>>121566593
get really high on weed and every genre and band will click for you regardless of age
>>
I brought you my bullets is their best album btw
>>
>>121566593
There’s fucking grandmas and grandpas that can get into this or Olivia Rodrigo or whatever. Even if you don’t necessarily relate anymore it can open you up to relating to other people.
Just remember the sharpest lives are the deadliest to lead.

Never too late to discover good music. Obviously yeah you won't fully be able to get into the fashion/scene kid stuff but who cares? The music is the main attraction anyways.
>>
>>121568542
>Ahit that had no lasting impact that nobody still cares about that sounds like it's from a tech ad
>Other similar shit
>other other similar shit

Ok but I'm under 30 and like Forever Changes and The Marble Index. I might be Autistic as fuck but you will literally never run into someone who listens to the albums you just posted in real life. These bands don't have a legacy in the way 60s or 70s bands do. I can shit on The Beatles all I want but they obviously has more of a legacy than (let's say) Oasis did. Shit that only people on 4Chan care about still versus I was in a record store the other say and saw a copy of Forever Changes.
>>
>>121582269
The music definetely wasn't the main attraction for MCR lmao. He's too old.
>>
>>121566593
no
>>
>>121582321
It obviously is though.

found the bootlicker
>>
>>121586428
None of these albums are at all notable. Only 4Chan User Types realize they existed.
>>
>>121582295
>Shit that had no lasting impact that nobody still cares about
but enough about you
>>
>>121582307
Eh, I don't agree. It's good and pretty distinct music up until Black Parade; that album is just generic radio rock and I can't for the life of me understand the fellating.
>>
>>121586458
Angry retard response. Basically just a "no u",except genuinely if you actually know jack shit about music nobody remembers or cares that this music existed.
>>
>>121586491
I mean tbf I like 80s AOr and Pop Rock and shit which is pretty generic radio rock aswell,it's just I guess snot trying to be more than that which I respect plus I like the off kilter use of tones and asymmetric structures and shit.
>>
>>121586499
except you're just projection anon, go on, try to remember last time you've heard an "I love you", you probably never heard that in your life so that's why you post stuff like this
>>
>>121586553
>"except you're just projection anon, go on, try to remember last time you've heard an "I love you", you probably never heard that in your life so that's why you post stuff like this"

My girlfriend today because I'm coming back from visiting family. Also you talk like you're intellectually impaired and the irony of saying this in context of the quintessential school shooter genre is fucking astounding. I would imagine not being loved and liking emo go hand in hand.
>>
But yes 24 is way to old to get into emo. Of you don't agree that's a you problem and not my fault. Garuntee I've done more drugs than you have too.
>>
>>121586697
I'm 100% sure she don't
>>
>>121586734
>of
>garuntee

Yeah I can see you fried your brain, subhuman
>>
>>121586524
Just give it a listen and see what you think. I'd start with Three Cheers and Bullets if you're into emo. Given what you said about your taste you'll probably like the Black Parade though.
>>
>>121586856
Should've worded this better, what I mean is start with Three Cheers. Listen to Bullets conditionally if you like emo and phc. Listen to Black Parade if you want a more stadium rocky version of Three Cheers.
>>
>>121586856
I'm not going to lol. I've heard MCR before thank you.
>>
>>121586872
Oh, I thought you were the OP. My bad.
>>
>>121586885
You're fine. I am not though. I fucking hate emo.
>>
>>121566654
Which is crazy, because most of Miley Cyrus's fans are women in their fifties and sixties.
>>
>>121566777
Or, you know, just listen to whatever you want whenever you want.
>>
>>121586856
>>121586868
I've already listened to these three but I didn't like how black parade sounded so I stopped listening to it, I'll try to get into it later
The album I most liked is three cheers and my favorite songs for now are honey this mirror, prison and deathwish
Especially deathwish
>>
One day
the planet
will die of
the sun that goes to red dwarf
but lets watch the gay parade
>>
>>121587004
Honey this mirror isnt big enough for the two of us is a Bullets song. Maybe give that one a spin if you like three cheers, it's their most overtly emo record.
>>
>>121587215
I did, I found it more punk rock than emo, three cheers sounds more emo to me
>>
>>121587314
Well, emo is a subgenre of Punk and originates from hardcore punk. Specifically the DC scene. Three Cheers is more pop punky but I'd consider it emo, just not quite as true to the roots of the genre as bullets is. Regardless, I am glad you found some new songs anon.
>>
>>121586734
>Garuntee I've done more drugs than you have too.
Damn...
>>
>>121566593
Just lie about your age.
>>
>almost two years since The Foundations of Decay dropped
WHERE'S THE NEW ALBUM, GERARD?!
