One of the saddest things about Summoning - Stronghold is that you can never go back to a time when it was still a good/great album. First time when you start to notice the shortcomings and problems with the album you can not unhear them anymore and with every spin it only gets worse and worse to a point that even listening it few times a year makes it sound like Low-Mid tier record instead of simple Mid+ that it once was. Eventually the record loses all the charm and you start to hate it It really is one of those albums that aged like milk and does not stand critical listening. The very definition of Mid, but Low+Mid- when you listen closely and pay attention.
