Why do rappers always need to “sample” other people’s music?
>>121771603not always rap tourist whose brain was infected by identity politics dialectics. left and the opposite, two sites of the same coin of the useless, and convenient for some, kultur wars.
>>121771603They haven't been for like at least 10 or 15 years now. It all went digital. They're mostly programing it in.
>>121771603Sampling is interesting and refreshing cause it's musical recycling and actually takes stock of the music that's been made instead of just shitting out more. It's easy to shit out some chord progression and make another crappy song, there's so much shit out there that people should stop writing anything for the next 100 years
>>121771603u know u cant post in here if u're underage, right?
>>121771603They don’t have any musical talent and can’t play an instrument
>>121771728>layers of buzzwords>layers of buzzwords>layers of buzzwords
>>121771603Why do retards think sampling is both unique to hip-hop and an indictment of the genre? I've heard that one Alan Watts speech ("it's a trap") sampled a million times on rock/metal albums. Electronic and dance music is full of sampling. Taking existing sounds and using them in new ways is how music evolves.

my favorite album of all time is justice the cross and it is the most hypersampled album of all time. Sampling is an art form.

>>121771837That comeback doesn't work here since (c)rap is the most underage zoomer infested genre.
>>121772020no you haven't

>>121771897so true, I didnt even understand any of that gay shit
>>121771603go listen to endtroducing for epic sounding sampling, or a native tongues type album like midnight marauders for classic soul/funk samples
>>121771603Wait until you find out that someone else writes all their lyrics.
>>121771603why do retards who know nothing about music talk about music like sampling is only done in rap?https://youtu.be/LdT77utAq5ghttps://youtu.be/ugMk_tpVWu8>>121771855>no musical talent>to stitch different elements from different songs in different keys together
Because recording instrumentals in the 80s 90s and early 2000s was expensive and audiences didn't respond negatively to the practice.
>>121771603When you think about it it's kind of like slavery, forcing a musicians ghost to play the same drum break for eternity
>>121771603they don't, the producer does that and it takes more skill and knowhow than you think, the rapper just talks about how great he is trying to prove something over it and tries to grab the attention from the actual music in the background
>>121772404very funny how it's actually the right answer, same could be said for the development of freestyle and rap as a whole
>>121771603Untalented.
