>>122579372I really like this aesthetic they had going for the movie and album, rather than the Sgt. Pepper one before. They discarded it pretty quickly as by the time they did the music video for Hello Goodbye, they were back to using their Sgt. Pepper outfits. They used headshots of the gatefold of Pepper for the picture sleeve of All You Need is Love in the US before they were working on MMT, too. I guess it was just more widely recognized at the time since the album was so popular, and MMT really wasn't, despite the US compilation being successful. If you take MMT as it is, without the tacked on singles, it's easily their most psychedelic outing. I feel like the ones before, they were easing the audience into appreciating them getting weirder, but on MMT, they get as weird as possible, outside later tracks like What's the New Mary Jane or Revolution 9. I like to listen to Your Mother Should Know in mono so it retains the psychedelic phasing effect lost on the typical stereo release.
