There is a reason every studio has a pair of yamaha NS10s
>>
>>122579989
Because they sound bad and studios want an unforgiving pair of speakers to check for issues?

Either one are extremely good. I’d get the 8” though so the sub isn’t required. Both are flat so it’s not extremely exciting but it’d as the mix intended

I need studio monitors to play guitar and listen to extreme metal. Buying an amp and routing all audio to it would suck, in case I want to listen to music, which is almost every day, or watch a film. Pic rel is what Nic Nok (the annoying but professional memer) uses so I assume it will be fine, although that sets you back almost 600 bucks for both speakers.

I just use Yamaha HS's for both listening and studio monitoring. I like using the same for work as well as listening so my ears are familiar with the speaker and the way it sounds. I personally argue that it's good to have a subwoofer for production, also

I'm looking into this too OP. Maybe the question is
>What are some good audiophile speakers that are good for making music also?
The research is exhausting.

This. Or some maudio bx5’s or bx8’s
For producing, a properly treated room and monitors you know are better than 2k$ genelecs in your shit bedroom
>>
>>122581385
2k each isn’t that much when you get into studio monitors

Meant for

Good recommendation, thanks anon. Some reviewers report a little hum unfortunately but it is what it is.

The hum is the environment and shitty electrical. I have no hum.
