ITT: Post the first band/artist you got into, your current age, and if you still listen and enjoy their music

>current age
20
>still listen or enjoy?
occasionally still listen for nostalgia and still enjoy them
>>
same band but I'm 41
Dookie blew up right as i entered adolescence
I listen to Green Day from time to time but never their new stuff. Insomniac is probably my favorite album by them most of the time. I like American Idiot and I'm impressed with their career's longevity. I've seen them live 5 times and they are legitimately a great live band, and for a "punk" band that plays mainly 3-4 chords they are INCREDIBLY skilled and tight, way better than most bands at what they do, real professional musicians
chose this image because the link was for an article The Queer Normalcy of Green Day's 'Dookie' 30 Years Later
>>
not 100% sure but probably The Cure or some other brit rock band from the '80s
I'm 30
>still listen or enjoy?
don't really listen to rock music anymore but yeah I still love The cure
>>

OP here, yeah I was always more into their 90s stuff when I was in middle school. I think the first album that came out after I got into then was Revolution Radio and I was excited for it but didn't think it was that great. Haven't listened to anything they put out after that. My favorite album by them has always been Kerpunk.
>>
Blur, 26, Yeah, Albarn in general desu
>>
>>122583839
Oh yeah one of the bands I got into after Green Day was Gorillaz. I got into Blur when I was a teenager. Albarn is great.

Pretty much dropped them after that 2013 comeback, was the first time ever I stopped listening to a band too. Still think their old stuff is alright, just not to the point where I wanna re-listen to entire albums again.

Metallica

I don't think i've listened to a metallica song in a month or two, I was drunk when I did and was playing random songs.
Not really into them, nothing against them but I was 14 at the time. All throughout highschool I listened to mostly pantera, attack attack, metallica and megadeth with some radiohead here and there (ok computer like a poser)
I haven't listened to megadeth since then.
I just am not 14 anymore. I definitely don't think that whole "metal is the only genre i can listen to" crap

it would be literally impossible for a 7 year old to actually like hearing bob dylan's croaking.

proof that the powers-that-be can make a star of anyone they constantly parade in front of the sheeple.

Why?

Pink Floyd
24, stopped listening to them when I turned 14, but at 13 I would religiously listen to them, especially The Wall

Yeah I’ll still listen to their first 4 albums every once in awhile. Saw them live 2 years ago and they were great, they debuted Silverfuck as the closer song and I lost my shit.
