compare the fair list of the 2010s vs what we have nowadays

rym's best albums of the 2010s
>1. tpab
>2. gkmc
>3. mbdtf
>4. tms
>5. igor (already a sign of something being extremely overhyped)
>6. atrocity Exhibition
>7. blonde
>8. blackstar
>9. Carrie & Lowell
>10. tbk
>11. piñata

rym's best albums of the 2020s so far
>1.Black Country, New Road (overrated af)
>2. fucking JPEGMAFIA
>whatever
>5. another fucking JPEGMAFIA album titled "SCARING THE HOES" being considered the 5th best album of the decade
>whatever
>11. fucking brat

will the late 2020s save this decade from its own mediocrity so far?
>>

brat mogs any album from the 2010s
>>
>>122891044
ok fantano

>BROTHER COMPARE THIS TOP LIST FROM RYM
no thanks, you shouldn't care about it.

Can't we just agree that all music in the 10s sucked and then LDA happened and then everything sucked again?
>>
Once again, some goofy jackass thinks RYM ratings mean anything. Music is fine. You and your ilk are just brainrotted and pathetic.
>>
>>122891007
easily moggs the 00s
>>
>>122891007
Music has been dead since mid 00s
>>
>>122891074
any one song from Ys mogs OP's entire list
>>
>>122891007
/mu/ in 2050 be like
>bruh you hear brat? bussin ong dood 20s lmao
>>
>>122891007
This has been the best album among them, but it requires a decent IQ to understand it.
>>
>>122891007
I mean, looking at the 2010s list, the best albums hadn't been released by this point in the decade. I suppose it's also had time for recency bias to wear off, but I don't know how much RYM ratings change year by year.
Also, you can't just nullify the ones from this decade that you haven't listened to by saying "whatever". I mean, I haven't listened to them either, but at least I can admit that.

None of those records are among the top 10 of the decade so far, lurk more anon.
>>122891065
Congratulations came out in 2010.
>>122891518
Out of OP's chart, maybe. But their music got a massive downgrade after Schlagenheim.
>>
No good films or good piece of music has come out within the past decade. I don’t think society needs to exist anymore
>>
>>122891518
Let me guess. You consider yourself to be of 'decent IQ', thus allowing you to truly understand Richard and Mortimer as you toil away your limited time on this Earth, rather than having sex, on an anonymous far-right bulletin board where every unfuckable loser 16 year old boy can allow their id to run around unrestrained. Truly a man of 'decent IQ'.
>>
>>122891007
>2010s
>good
kek
>>
>>122891518
Just say you don't know what avant-prog is
>>
>>122891007
People just have much more fractured opinions now, so the inherent agreeability of the top 10 of any decade is more meaningless for the 2020s than it was for the 2010s, where it had more to do with which albums were revelatory or mind-blowing.
None of the albums there except BTTIGTP blew anyone's mind.
TPAB, GKMC, MBDTF, TMS, Igor, AE, Blonde, Blackstar, and TBK all blew people's minds, for better or worse. The same communities are just too old and jaded now to agree.
Most people split away from the cultural zeitgeist in pursuit of like cloud rap and other esoterica.
The ones who stayed weren't as discerning so now we have Little Simz and scaring the hoes in the top 5 of the decade.
>>
It will get better with the next generation, but by that time we'll be too out of touch to realize that.
We're just in a weird valley between peaks, where our old means of identifying greatness are failing us.

youre literally a pleb if you think these albums are indicative of the times. complaining about music dying says more about how you discover music. stop going on rym year end lists or droning normie charts you see online. theres so much fuckin music out there find a scene/label or lurk moar faggot

>>
its an embarrassment
>>
>>122891007
Yes, its over fellas
>>
It's not music that's dying, it's pop culture as a phenomenon that's dying, it's relaxing, collapsing, and spreading out into an ocean of sludge content
>>
>>122891007
Release brat in the beginning of the 2000s and it would be considered as an all time classic
>>
>>122891007
I legit just don't listen to new releases, don't care
Also Joana newson in 2010's mogs.
>>
>>122900256
>pop "culture" is dying
Oh no
>>
>>122900256
yup. and it can easily be proven by asking someone
>name 5 tracks...
>name 5 shows
>name 5 films
that were great in the last 10 years. not great to everyone... not most important... not the ones that will be remembered... just tell me 5 of each YOU REALLY LIKE AND REMEMBER

not a single zoomer soul could come up with more than 4-5 before they say "can i include streams and youtube videos?"
>>
>>122900256
the 2008 recession gutted a lot of stuff. we know.
>>
>>122891007
1. we're not even halfway through the decade
2. that 2010s list is mostly overrated tripe anyway
You're just mad that music doesn't make you feel the way it did when you were a teenager. You're burnt out and think it's the music that's changed when it's (You) that's changed.
2/10 I replied
>>
>>122903826
nobody of value gives a fuck about TV anymore, it's not 2013
>>
>>122902355
Yes if it was released around the same time as Rocksteady it would be cutting edge stuff but nobody is impressed with that sound anymore.
>>
>>122903826
>not a single zoomer soul could come up with more than 4-5 before they say "can i include streams and youtube videos?"
Do you speak to people ever? This is not true at all.

It might be just my circles but I could not tell you any song from any of those albums, let alone what half of those albums are.
I might be out of touch.
