Cyberfunk (sometimes called dreamfunk, hypnofunk, and hypnagogic funk) is a variant of synth funk that emerged out of the vaporwave scene in the mid-2010s. Characterized by a purely electronic "mid-fi" sound, hypnagogic production style, relaxed tempos, repetitive rhythmic grooves, punchy percussion, thick prominent basslines, and long track lengths, cyberfunk takes influence from several genres including city pop, jazz fusion, downtempo, and to a lesser extent neo-psychedelia, hypnagogic pop, and ambient, while production-wise taking influence from vaporwave, slushwave, and dreampunk.
Biorock is an eclectic music genre that combines the raw energy of rock with the natural rhythms and sounds of the environment. This genre integrates traditional rock instruments like electric guitars, drums, and bass with organic elements such as field recordings, natural percussion (like stones and wood), and biofeedback from plants and animals. The music often features lyrics that reflect themes of nature, sustainability, and human connection to the earth, creating a powerful, immersive experience that resonates with environmental consciousness. Biorock appeals to listeners who crave the intensity and drive of rock music while seeking a deeper, more harmonious connection to the natural world.

Hypnorave (also called HDM, for "Hypnotic Dance Music," or Hypnotechno) is a genre of electronic music that uses hypnotic suggestion to get clubs full of people to perform specific actions, such as dance routines that appear as if they've been choreographed. This genre was originally based off of studies of using hypnosis on prisoners housed in Guantanamo Bay via the speaker systems that normally blare pop music, but after the studies leaked onto obscure corners of the dark web, it caught the attention of a handful of underground music producers. Said producers in this genre are sworn to follow a strict code of ethics, which includes making sure that hypnotic suggestions do not last after a track or album is over. Tracks and albums by artists outside of the genre's inner circle have been circumstantially linked to anomalous crimes committed by seemingly normal civilians. Investigators who study this link always come to a dead-end, however, claiming there isn't enough evidence in the music to incriminate the artists. These investigators go on to commit crimes similar in nature to the ones they were originally investigating.
>>122915024>caverncoreIt's funny because caverncore is a meme term in the /metal/ general to describe really reverb-heavy drone-y death metal.

>>122914133>Rootsonga bit similar to Neoclassical New Age, but it has this raw lo-fi production and has more emphasis in nice catchy melodies rather than ambient, usually just acoustic guitar and a piano, perhaps with some flutes and other sounds on a keyboard, singing is common although not a must
Utopian Virtual emulates music of old educational computer programs, science textbooks and museums. Similar to utopian virtual but with more new age/progressive electronic influences.
