What are you waiting for?

I prefer Herman tuning
>>

What if the listener isn't using headphones?
>>
>>122915215
any easy way to try this out?
>>
>>122916491
https://autoeq.app/
>>
why would i do this, i have k361.
>>
>>122916617
>k361
Pretty close to Harman but there's an audible dip in the high mids.
>>
>>122915215
This is just a stupid tuning, no highs and an insane spike in the high mids (to which we are already more sensitive than other frequencies). It's like the perfect tuning if you want to get tinnitus
>>
>>122916834
It's meant to compensate for the interaction of the ear and the headphone. It's only valid for over-ear headphones. The result as heard is approximately the same as flat speakers in a moderately treated room.
>>
>>122916557
>no highs
Great, because I hate treble cannon tunings with a passion. Treble hurts far more.
>>122916557
You're a saint anon
>>
>>122916834
>The length of the ear canal (as mentioned above) causes the human ear to be most sensitive to a sound of frequency of 3,000 Hz.
oofie this is true.
>>
>>122916929
And that's bad because?
>>
>>122916939
its not bad per se, just means it is a tinnitusmaxxing tuning.
>>
>>122916976
and i am not quite sure but the dip in the highs should make the mids even louder than what originally is in the eq, might be mistaken though.
>>
>>122916976
Tinnitus is called by piercing treble and rumbling bass, not by mid. If you up the mids, you should become more aware to not turn your volume louder as your own body will send pain signals. So it actually helps enjoy music at a lower volume.

>It's only valid for over-ear headphones.
That's odd because there are plenty of harman neutral iems
>>
>>122917009
kek anon i hope you dont actually believe this.
>>
>>122917057
Okay genius, tell me what tuning won't give me tinnitus.
>>
>>122916557
My headphones are too shit, they aren't even on the list
>>
>>122917086
How about one that doesnt have a +10db bump. I think you dont understand just how much louder +10db is
>>
>>122917137
Is this +10db bump with us right now?
>>
>>122917177
idk maybe does that eq account for you headphones chuning?
>>
>>122917208
Yes
>>
>>122917236
then you probably have that +10db at 3k just dont listen to music above 70dba
>>
>>122916939
Why would you boost (and it's not even a slight boost, it's a huge one) an area that is already naturally boosted in humans? It doesn't make any sense if what you're after is a flat frequency response. This is why a lot of ''studio headphones'' are shouty and sound like ass I suspect
>>
>>122917872
What headphones do you consider to sound good?
