>>123073641Yeah, I believe it is just a sequencer. It's pretty nice, and I have a lot of fun using it. It seems versatile and for the most part I don’t feel like it’s lacking in options. I might want more features later, but for now, I don’t know what I’m missing. But I do wish I could have more sequences at a time (I can have 16 total; I used all of them in that song I made and it wasn’t even 2 minutes long), or perhaps more importantly, a way to save sequences long-term. I’d like to be able to keep stuff around to reuse later or set aside while I work on other things. Also between the 8 slots for melodic stuff and 8 slots for drum kits, you can only sample about 40 seconds total, so I can’t store as many different sounds as I’d like to. It’s also kinda easy to delete shit by accident. I deleted some of the factory drums even though I still wanted those. I’ve learned to be more careful though so it hasn’t happened in a minute. I only described my issues with it, but if I described all of the good things about it, this post would be enormous.So all in all it’s a solid device/fun to mess with, although it has a few limitations with it being so tiny. Now that I’m getting into the groove of actually making music, I’m tempted to move onto bigger and better things, but I’m forcing myself to stick with this until I’m already making really good music. I want to make sure I don’t fall down the rabbit hole of buying a bunch of expensive gear thinking it’ll automatically make my music better. (And I’m about to talk about an expensive piece of gear I own which is ironic but in my defense it was 350 bucks instead of the usual 550 and it was also a birthday gift).

I didn’t want to go down a gear rabbit hole either so I got that because it was one of the cheapest samplers out. I ended up growing out of it and went with an MPC one. The Korg you’ll have to spend a lot of time with for sure. Once you get it though it’s cool to make your own sounds. Using one shots gets a little boring sometimes.KO ii is fun.
