I still can't fucking believe it dude, Like he's my favorite singer of all time.

I literally love his entire Iron maiden albums and even battlezone and his solo career like dude he is the soul of metal how can this happen

>I still can't fucking believe it dude
how can you not believe it? the guy has been in a deplorable state for over a decade. anytime he was interviewed, he was usually crying about harris (understandable Tbh). i'm surprised he's gone as long as he has.
>>
>>124118096
I don't care man but it's gonna feel different, Like really tears shed when I listen to strange world now, It takes a whole different feel it's like he's in that strange world, That gritty 80s feel is more raw now and depressing that he's gone, It's like memories of once a time now has faded and don't have link, It's just sad man, I hope he rests in peace as much as i agree with you
>>
>>124118096
Harris really did him in

Fuuuuuuuuck
>>
>>124117926
How can a human being make a song like Strange world and Remember tomorrow ????
>>
>>124117926
It was a long time coming but very sad anyway. He was a real one and the best maiden singer
>>
For me, it’s Burning Ambition
>>
>>124118096
Why would he have cared Harris? Didn't he live in the UK?
>>
>>124117926
remember tomorrow is a masterpiece

If you only listen to one Di'Anno album after Maiden, make it the first Killers album. I cannot stress this enough. I thought the Battlezone stuff was alright, but this was actually great.
>>
retard mods where is the sticky
>>
>>124122174
Sticky was denied because of the sexist Women In Uniform video.
>>

My friend, who lives in London for the ladst 5 years, spoke with Di'Anno just a few weeks ago. Paul was signing albums and actually sat down with my friend, they had few drinks and talked for a while. Apparently, Paul was supposed to move to Mexico (temporary).

I really hoped I would see him and Blaze on the next Iron Maiden tour as a guest stars - especially because they annlunced this tour with a song from the first album - but that's not gonna happen.
>>

>paul had a few drinks despite being wheelchair bound from his legs being the size of tree trunks and full of liquid from his alcoholism
fucking christ man. just like my dad. didn't stop, even when he was practically dead.
>>
>>124124765
With respect to Paul, recent live footage shows he could no longer sing the Maiden songs. His voice was unrecognisable and really bad.
If you haven't already, try to catch Blaze next time he's doing his Maiden set. I wish his band were better, but he delivers.

He wasn't my favourite singer of all time but he was an integral part of Maiden's sound and in a way his legacy was "stolen" by Bruce Dickinson. That's one reason I rooted for him.
>>
>>124118367
Timeless songs.
>>
This was classic too
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brBtb5ykIoI
>>
Unironically better than Dickinson. First two albums were peak Iron Maiden before they stopped being fun and punky and hired a screechy old lady to sing.
>>
>>124127540
NOTB was great but after that, yeah.
>>
>>124118096
>crying about harris
qrd? is there prolonged drama there or has he just not gotten over being fired all these years later?
>>
>>124127674
And Powerslave
Piece of Mind is so-so imo
>>
>>124128117
He was fired like Pete Best was fired from the Beatles. Its that feeling of being that close to superstardom and then pretty much losing it all
>>
>>124128117
He sold his rights to royalty’s for a meagre 1 million dollars, years ago. Sadly he had drug and alcohol problems. It’s a real shame
>>
>>124117926
Alchies get what they fucking deserve
>>
>>124128417
It was worse for Dianno because he was actually talented
>>
>>124128117
steve harris is an asshole of a person. he is the sole rights holder to the band and no one else likes him but they need a steady paycheck.
>>
>>124127431
People online got mad about this, but why should he pull punches with the drunk asshole shouting about the guy who replaced him in his old band?
>>

Yup, they turned into theater after he left and dickinson is such a fag

Dickinson can't do screams like Di'Anno
>>
>Paul vs. Bruce shitflinging
Lame. Dickinson is the better vocalist, but the Di'Anno era has much of my favorite material.

Is nobody going to comment on the fact that there are TWO fucking zombies on the Running Free single cover? EDDIE HAD A PARTNER IN CRIME.

Classic Paul Di'Anno
>>
>>124130155
Eh, I see him as more cut throat and Machiavellian than an asshole. I’m sure he’s a decent man out side of business, iron maiden wouldn’t be where they are without his tenacious attitude and musicianship.
>>
Hi, Dave Murray here. Great thread. We all wanted Paul to stay, he had to leave because he said Invaders was shit and 'Arry got upset.

>in a way his legacy was "stolen" by Bruce Dickinson
he did join at the perfect time, but he more than proved himself of deserving his spot with the subsquent releases and the absolute mogging of anyone in that camp that he delivered in the 90s

>>124127540
>>124138141
this is the real thing he has on Bruce, maybe it's more of an apples and oranges thing but still, he has a way more raw timbre and persona, he brings a different vibe to the band

>>124130155
it his is band, and given the fact that's it been 50 years it's his identity, the only criticism I can make is that he should've pulled his head out of his ass musically about 30 years ago
>>
>>124150208
Invaders was easily the worst opening track on any IM album until Brave New World came out and took that title.
>Your time will comeeee
Fuck off.

People hate No Prayer for the Dying because Adrian left the band. That's it. Ironically, NPFTD is my favorite IM album. Unironically, IM went to complete shit when Smith and Dickinson re-joined.
>>
>>124150857
>Invaders was easily the worst opening track on any IM album until Brave New World came out and took that title.
ehhh, it's a tie between that and be quick or be dead. at least with invaders, the rest of the album makes up for it. fear of the dark has 2 good songs in a sea of filler and be quick or be dead is not one of them.
>>
>>124152281
Wasting Love and Chains of Misery?
>>
>>124150857
>NPFTD is my favorite IM album
It's not my favorite, but I like that they stripped things back for a change, especially after Seventh Son.

every time i start listening to no fear, i get to holy smoke and i'm like "yeah i think we're done here"
