I unironically love post-punk.

art fag middle class Brits making pretentious music
>>124178679>middle classVirtually all of them were working class and or lived on the dole.
>>124178524i like the more melodic stuff like gang of four and television but honestly i get filtered by the more experimental post-punk like this heat or the pop group
>>124178717>gang of four>melodicI found that essence rare and glass are their only melodic songs to my ears
>>124178743maybe i should've said rhythmic. but basically i mean stuff that is 'out there' enough for post punk but not too full on experimental
>>124178754yeah, rhythmic makes more sense
>>124178524It's decent. Where the fuck is Xmal Deautschland on here? Based that you got both Chrome and The Chamelions though.
>>124178524Also Mission of Burma, that's a classic right there. Xmal Deautschland though you gotta hear.
>>124178679Excluding The Fall
>>124178679>BritsHalf of that chart is American
>>124178717Stuff like The Chameleons, XTC, The Cure or Echo and the Bumnymen is melodic, not those
>>124179194I really couldn't get into mission of burma. I wanted to understand the music, groove to it, but it is kind of stale as far as post punk goes. I really didn't find any of their songs, songwriting, lyrics, arrangement, structure, to be particularly interesting or distinct enough to really merit or justify listening to their stuff. I really tried, but they just didn't have any original or interesting ideas imo. I'll take the sound, killing joke, or the chameleons any day over mission of burma.
