Is it me or is Mike the weakest link on this album? Yes, I understand he's always been the brains of Linkin Park, the band doesn't exist without him. However, his modern delivery/flow clashes with the throwback tracks, and the tracks he sings on with Emily she is running circles around him, more so than the ballads he did with Chester (Iridescent). I do miss Rob Bourdon, but I have no complaints with Colin Brittain, and while I was doubtful at first, I'm completely sold on Emily as the new lead. Overall, not bad as a comeback album introducing a new singer, it's very much a nostalgia throwback album, but I wish some of the songs like Overflow had more room to breath.
