I need help finding a song. Been looking for 10 or so years.2000s alt-rock? Indie? Male/androgynous sounding singer. Possibly more than one vocalist.Opening sounds similar to chasing cars but goes on longer. First(?) Vocalist is more high pitched almost dreamlike. Please note it's been around 10 years so may have misheard lyrics. The same 4 note chord plays throughout the gentle opening. Almost a simialr sound to the opening of "the piano knows something I don't know" from patd."Gloria, oh let's dance, I'll be gone(?)""Be careful, what you wish for, your wish (for it?) May come true, something something. Colors fade away (to grey?) In the end."The song gets more intense as it goes on. After that first bit of lyrics a short gutair riff plays and the song gets louder and cruncher(?!) "Two faced, believe what's worth on your arm"? Towards the apex of the song, "for what it's worth, well I LOOOOOOVE YOUUU", as that loud I love you fades there is someone singing over it, "don't let it la~ast, forever. In the end" The song ends with that same gentle opening singer, last lines being "colors fade away/to gray(?) In the end".It is not panic at the disco, Fallout boy, Coldplay, postal service, death cab for cutie, muse, Linkin park. Anberlin - Inevitable has a similar opening riff sequence. Please. It's been almost 10 years. If it's allowed I'll award the finder via paypal.

>>124412961try remaking the thread with a coomer bait image, you might have better luck
>>124412549What lyrics are you 100% sure ofWhere did you hear it (youtube, radio, cd)Was it popular at the time
>>124412961Does that mean you look like George Costanza in real life. Do people confuse you with George Constanza sometimes on the street. Do they go up to you and say, "Oh wow, haha, you look just like George Costanza." That'd be quite the experience, although I guess for you it'd just be normal.
>>124413509My older sibling made the library for my first ipod ~2011. They do not recall the song. Another siblings weird friend apparently put a bunch of one-off songs onto their library in what had to be from 2005-2008, we are thinking it may be from that since no one can recall. It HAD to be colors fade away/to gray. That was a repeated line. I don't know what it could be misheard as. But I've scoured so many lyrics and music websites plugging that lyric to no avail. The "for what it's worth, (well?) I love you" is certain as well.
>>124413538Imagine the spider as my torment manifest. A lurking and ever present embodiment of the pain and dismay accumulated over these 10 or so years.
>>124414741Lol, I'm even reading it in George's voice.
>>124412549shit that "two faced, believe what's worth on your arm" sounds really familiar, like I'd read it on genius recently. I'll have a look through what I've been listening to and see if I find anything
>>124414866That line was sang like androgynous voice? Breathy almost? Maybe British now that I think of it. Hopefully this readsTwoO faeced . . *same electric gutair note x2* bihleave, *lower pitch gutair notes* Whaits worth.. *lower still?* on your aRM Man, I gotta just record something. >>124415067>>124415272>>124415455It's eurohours, which means there are less users in this board currently, So please be patient, my G.You should record it on Vocaroo and post the link here, if you feel that'll help. I personally have no clue what song you're talking about, but I'm curious about it as well.
>>124412549there's a wealth of indie landfill from the late early 10s all about that androgynous high tenor voice. it sounds better on concept than execution 100 percent of the time but it was a thing for like 5 minuteshttps://youtu.be/BAZ5yZv5YSg?si=dgO5w0zCaa3I2e6Ithis is what i thought of. it's probably not it.godspeed
>>124415522I'll do anything what more would help?!So true on the vocaroo. I'm going to try and record something tomorrow, at least the instrumentals I'm too shy to sing (but can replicate it so well!)

>>124414726Was bored so did a fair amount of digging based on variations/combinations of those lines and also came up empty. You probably also discovered that the only song out there with the exact "for what it's worth I love you" lyric is from a Cardigans song. So either it's some cover/mashup of that song (don't know if the melodies match up) or what you're looking for is sufficiently obscure to where no one ever posted the lyrics online, which isn't promising. gl

Or you've been searching too long and remember multiple songs as one song. I checked all the likely combinations of those lyrics and nothing has all of them, and to be honest, for an alt rock song, that's kind of too many little topics and different phrases, I'd be surprised if it was all from one song.
I really appreciate the leads. I'll do my best to make some sort of crude recreation. While the lyrics may be misremembered I have the melodies down.
inb4 it turns out that the op is just making an elaborate shill for his own music
