The best 60s psychedelic pastiche album of all time
>>

It's better than virtually all 60s psychedelic rock too

It's like if Syd never left Pink Floyd.
Hardly sounds 60s.
>>
Xtcfags don't care about that kind of music so their opinion don't matter

It’s more varied, like a tour through different shades of 60s psych pop. 25 O Clock is more focused on the rockier garage side of psych.

I had a huge 60's/70's psychedelia phase years before I ever got into XTC and Dukes of Stratosphear is as good as any classic psych rock.

What do you think XTC fans care about in music that would preclude them from appreciating an era of music that significantly impacted the members of the band to the point where they'd want to make this project?

I think BJM are one of the rare cases where they took 60s music aesthetics and modernized them (for the 90s). Makes for a really interesting sound

pastiches are garbage
just listen to the real genre

Tame Impala, too.

It's not really a pastiche. It uses all 60s-era instruments.
