This was Autechre absolute peak. Nothing can beat this, the final boss of music in audio form.

As opposed to visual form?

Digital farts, random bursts of chaotic rhythms and glitches, dissonant melodies, static noises... I understand all tastes are subjective, and I can get the appeal of this music for other people in some contexts even though it's not my case, but I really struggle to reconcile praise such as ''final boss of music'' with this Autechre shit. Even though every one of their ''tracks'' are superficially unique and differentiated from others, they all offer the same emotionally sterile and pointless listening experience.

this. ae is robo autist music, after a while it is grating and you need real tunes.
>>
>>124436700
Completely disagree. You cannot even begin to appreciate this if you're not into experimental synthesis and sound design, for me this is absolute state of art electronic music. There is clearly a hyperstructure in this music in which you can grasp segments and definite precise composition, nothing really random but full of aleatoric elements and modulation variation of even the most little details. The complexity of this is undeniable, also listening to this live is an extreme, absurd, alien out of the world experience.

a bit hyperbolic mate

Sounds like bamboozling to me.

A melody cannot be dissonant retard.

That's what it is.

classic 4chan ''argument''. you are very smart.
>>
>>124436700
This is abstract audio art, music for abstraction, if you're approaching this with the same naive mindset of conventional instrumental music you're completely failing.

Damn, I really i could succeed in listening to Autechre. Oh well, I'll keep listening to the stuff that resonates with me.

Agree apart from extreme. When I went to see them live this year, even the most intense moments were more abstract rather than extreme. Melt Banana live were far more extreme based on their volume alone.

>final boss of music
Eh it's cool but it's no Bridge Over Troubled Water
>>
>>124439020
Do you think these new livesets are better than 14-15 and 16-18?
>>
>>124439215
didn't go to those and haven't listened to them so I can't say sorry
>>
>>124439215
Saw them in Melbourne during their 18 and 23 sets, for sure their set last year was the better one, 18 was weird alien planet bleepy bloopy lsd trip exploration kinda music, I like danceable ae so their 23 set for me was the one

lately, autechre sounds like me testing synth/effects software. it's ridiculous how serious their fans take themselves.

A random Sean fart sounds better than you 'testing synth/effects software'.

>>124447976
objectively not true. if anything, you should start producing, instead of worshiping farts. i think sean would agree
>>
>>124450177
I agree.

We need to stop worshipping our own farts.

I should know.

I've been confusing everyone's fart with the air this whole time.

This shit has smelled so fucking bad.

Here's the place where I air it out:

We need to stop worshipping our own farts.

The way we worship our own farts,

is by pretending they smell better.

This is not just my fart chamber.

It's society's fart chamber.

Until we stop pretending our farts smell better than other people's farts,

we'll never smell the fresh air.
>>
>>124450398
who would have thought an autechre thread would have the word "farts" 13 times? it's very representative or something
>>
>>124450473
Yes, it is.

It's also probably very representative that a shit ton of these threads talk a lot, pretty much endlessly, about farting, shitting, sniffing farts, and smelling shit.

Not just the ones about Autechre.
>>
What else do you listen besides Autechre?
>>
>>124450629
Me?

I'm not the one who started this thread.

The guy who started this thread probably listens to more Autechre than I do.

But I do like Autechre.

I listen to other stuff, mainly.

It's on that list I shared above.

My gf’s farts are cute and funny until she’s on her period, at which point they start to smell like rotting meat. Albums for this feel?
