>Rock 'n' Roll Gumbo

There's a ton of range here so don't sleep on this one.

The first BBG feature born somewhere besides Mississippi, Clarence Gatemouth Brown was born in Louisiana and raised 30 minutes west in Texas. Brown featured as a guitarist and violinist in the 50s, spent the 60s in Nashville, released his first album in 1972, and soaked in the genre's European popularity with 12 tours across the continent, as well as a 44 show tour of the Soviet Union.
