And even then they have to like what they see. You have to look put together -- you have to have the look. You have to be markettable. Because for them its a business. So your band needs a charismatic preferably attractive frontman and you also either need to invent a new sound that people are looking for, or ride the hype wave for whatever is happening right now. If you want the best chances to get noticed by a label.But whats the point of that? Now you can play trendy music in a stadium with a band of accquaintances amd a record label cam take 90 percent of your money anyway and shelve your band when your sophmore album doesnt meet sales expectationsIs it worth it? I have a japanese mustang that is almost as good as my MIA tele but not quite as good as my MIA strat. If you can, try to play the guitar first to check it out.
