Your dads were right. Springsteen is pure unadulterated kino.Favorite albums and songs? What's his best live show?
>>124454551I think his NJ concert in '85 was probably the besthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsgPJoBLbFU
For me it's DOTEOT, The River and Nebraska. It's also Prodigal Son, Winterland '78. Tight as fuck.
i lost respect for springsteen after he started getting hair implants and face work done. so much fo the humble modest blue collar everyman... he's a vain phony like the rest of them, a charlatan
>>12445455141 Shots and Ghost of Tom Joad are the only ones I can say I like. Working on a Dream comes to my mind so that one too
>>124454624Here's the trick. The blue collar everyman is also a vain phony, just without millions of dollars to act on it.
>>124454668...and I'd be lying if I said I couldn't rock out to Born to Run. That's four.
>>124454699clearly has hair plugs, even in that pic

>>124454551>Favorite albums and songs?Nebraska is my favorite, and Used Cars is one of my fav songs. Reminds me of being a kid, and all we could ever afford was a used car.Now my ma she fingers her wedding bandAnd watches the salesman stare at my old man's handsHe's tellin' us all 'bout the break he'd give usIf he could but he just can'tNow mister the day the lottery I winI ain't ever gonna ride in no used car againNow the neighbors come from near and farAs we pull up in our brand new used carI wish he'd just hit the gas and let out a cryAnd tell 'em all they can kiss our asses goodbye
>>124454551Born to Run is a post-rock album and I can't be told otherwise.
>>124454679>alsokek. Howdy
>>124454551The first; Lost in the Flood
>>124454551
I play video games with his nephew never really listened to his music though
>>124454840it's remarkable how post modern and personal his music used to be
>>124455665neat
As much as I love Nebraska, all his classic albums I think Darkness has aged the best in terms of relatability. It's the ultimate quarter life crisis album and its sentiments continue to be relevant and cathartic and take on new meanings in the social decay and wagecuck economy of the 21st century.
>>124454551>What's his best live show?A Night for the Vietnam Vets... '81, I think? The best official release is Tempe from the River box, but they split it up for some stupid reason. Here's the entire show:magnet:?xt=urn:btih:577B5298701BECCFE64C9A6D2D6F26A10D7D81F9&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.bitsearch.to%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fwww.torrent.eu.org%3A451%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.breizh.pm%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.torrent.eu.org%3A451%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker2.dler.com%3A80%2Fannounce&dn=%5Bbitsearch.to%5D+Bruce+Springsteen+-+Asu+Activity+Center%2C+Tempe%2C+AZ+-+November+5%2C+1980+(FLAC)
>>124454551The best live shows are probably the one's that he didn't actually preform, due to him standing up for trans rights and fighting against Corona virus.
>>124454551he is the reverse clint eastwood. the faggy leftard feminist chinese made version of clint.
>>124454551He sucks and so do you and your dad
>>124461856>>124461948There’s one thing he has done that you haven’t, and that’s had sex.
Best album by far
>>124462010*having sex with men
>>124455494he sure uses "born" a lot for a leftist. it's like he's rubbing it in for those who can't enter the country, one way or the other.
>>124462181swing and a miss. /pol/ aren't sending their best
>>124462402sprinsgsteen is Reddit incarnate. take him back
IT'S A TOWN FULL OF LOSERSI'M PULLIN OUT OF HERE TO WIIIIIIIIN
>>124462181>>124463120more like abort to run lol
>>124463154almost born in the usa
>>124463154Lol
>>124454551Summer of 69 is his only good song.
>>124454551i don't trust anyone who says otherwise. imo debut up to born in the usa is basically a flawless discog. best live band ever as well. was actually at one of those 4 hour shows back in 2016
>>124463154lazy>>124463170stillborn
>>124463136Everyone one of his songs everhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIJ3grfB3WE
>>124454551my dad hates springsteen but i like him ok
>>124468157based btw
Just marathoned Winterland 1978, the Roxy 1978 and Nassau Coliseum 1980 almost back to back. I think I'm all Bruced out after that but it was a hell of a ride.
>>124454551"Hungry Heart" is one of the greatest pop songs of all time. Up-tempo enough to get you dancing, catchy as all hell with immaculate early 80s production, and some feelsy lyrics. Honestly one of my favourite songs ever.
>>124454551Wrecking Ball, The Ties That Bind, The Rising, The Ghost of Tom Joad, and Murder Incorporated are my favorite songs of his
>>124454551My father isn't into Bruce Sprigsteen that much. The only vinyls he bought from him was Nebraska and The River
>>124454551Saw him live a few days ago and it was excellent. The E Street Band is still so solid and they all bring an incredible energy for a bunch of dudes in their 70s. Born to Run is my favourite Bruce album - it’s the normie choice but I believe it’s the right on in this case.
>>124454551He's lame as fuck, soft rock is just embarrassing
>>124463136Man, that’s one of those songs that makes a person feel like they could take on the whole world. I had tears in my eyes when I heard it live.
>>124469556>soft rock is just embarrassingIs it really?
>>124454551My dad never listened to this fag lmao
>dorks listening to shitty dork music>it's even intergenerational kek
>>124462027I used to think it was a bit bloated but now I think it’s worth the extra runtime. Brilliant album.
>>124469554A lot of the so-called “normie” choices about older music are pretty damn good. They’ve withstood the test of time. Born to Run is an exceptional album and people have known it for almost 50 years now.
>>124468867The River is betterSo is the one about your mama’s big feet in the front seat
I asked my dad about Springsteen once, he said “I was never one of *those* people.”
WRAPPED UP LIKE A DOUCHE
>>124468411dangerously based
>>124470484wdhmbt?
Listening to London 1981 atm
The Boss is good, haters gonna hate
underrated album
>>124475360I don't even consider them haters. Board is just full of insular spergs. They don't genuinely hate much. They're just shut out.
>>124473718They were the kind of people who were teachers and the students who kissed their asses, aka the non Led Zeppelin crowd.
>>124474854Last night at Wembley? Great gig, probably the single best surprise of the Live Archive series. If there's one Bruce live album to absolutely have it's this one, imo.
I find some of his most beloved albums and songs to be overrated and I think his overall persona is pretentious and phony. But the River, Born in the USA and even The Rising (post-9/11 album that hasn’t been mentioned yet) are all at least really good albums, bordering on great. I also like his and the E Street Band’s live cover of “Trapped” a lot.
>THE HIGHWAY’S JAMMED WITH BROKEN HEROES ON A LAST-CHANCE POWER DRIVE
>>124455494The original live arrangement Prove It All Night is technically crescendo core
>>124454624I feel the same about Dolly Parton. She was aging really well into her 50s and then took the bogpill for no reason.
