bowie's most complete, concise, and stylistically consistent album

My favorite at least.

THIS AIN'T ROCK N ROLL
THIS IS GENOCIIIIIIIIIDDDDE
>>
and he did the guitar playing on this one himself

Most of it. Rebel Rebel was someone else's riff (Not Ronson though).
But his sketchy, angular playing was still cool. He should've played on more stuff. He inadvertently helped create postpunk guitar.

Wait, I got that wrong. He had some of the riff, but asked Alan Parker to help finish it. Parker was the riff guy from the start for 1984.
The rest though, like the Sweet Thing medley, is Bowie on guitar and sax.

Agreed, I don't get critics saying his playing was too cheesy, it kicks ass
>>
>young girl they CALL THEM THE DIAMOND DOGS
I think the record is pretty mid but diamond dogs chorus is what legends are made of
>>
>I’m having so much fun with the poisonous people
>Spreading rumours and lies and stories they made up
Literally me and my 4chin bros

This is one of my least favorite albums Bowie released in the 70's. I don't understand how anyone likes this LP desu.

It's mostly rock but has some of the sloppiness that would show up more in punk and postpunk. The loose backstory he didn't develop enough is a bit of a copy of Clockwork Orange, but that's cool to me. There's nothing sci-fi about either, but the dystopian streetgang vibe kind of gives me a cyberpunk kind of vibe before that even existed.

blah*..used the word vibe twice. please don't kill me.

the first 5 songs are great, then we are the dead and big brother are also bangers
i like the seedy kitsch vibe and the musical theatre inspiration. it's definitely cinematic and one of his most listenable, most of his albums have a lot duds.
