tell us why we should listen to something on your chart, preferably not something everyone already knows
tell others why the things theyre suggesting are shit

my futile attempt to get you to listen to something:

Strawbs - From the Witchwood
Is a prog-folk-rock album from 1971 with a lot of variety, theres a couple of very melodic Beatlesque tracks (Thirty Days and Flight), a couple of proggy, keyboard heavy tracks (Sheep and Canon Dale), a couple of acoustic long haired hippy tracks about fucking and flowers (The Shepherd's Song and In Amongst the Roses), a highly charged lyrical piece about a guy who has to hang his own brother because God says so (The Hangman and the Papist) and more. The standard of musicianship is very high, excellent guitarists, quality rhythm section and a young Rick Wakeman on keys, plus the production values (Tony Visconti was the producer) are really good. If you like early 70s stuff at all you should hear this

Tasseomancy - Ulalume
is like acoustic neo-folk-rock stuff with mostly femvox, generally very mellow, but melodically and instrumentally it also steps outside the usual chicks-with-guitars format and several of the tracks go somewhere more interesting than you might originally expect.

Children of the Bong - Sirius Sounds
Isnt going to be everybody's cup of tea but if you like psychedelic/downtempo dub techno they do it as well as anybody so if youre into Shpongle or Ott or anything like that check it, plus it has that primitive charm of early 90s techno when tech limits meant they had to be more inventive and before it got all super-polished and boring

Rocketship - Rarities
While a collection of b-sides, it's a great place to start with the band. noise pop, twee pop, dream pop, all are present in these heartbreaking little tunes. It reminds me of the simple sadness of old country songs, makes it hit even harder
