Before youtubers, streaming, even before forums, I remember I used to drink beers when I was in the house on my own and just listen to the Madcap and Barrett albums. No internet, just looking out over the fields that are appartments for strange arrivals now, drinking Amstel beer you can't get now; there was a conversational aspect to these two albums that felt like hanging with a friend. An odd friend to be sure, bur still; Dylan, Cohen and other singer-songwriters laboured over the words like poetry, where with Barrett, it was like someone just jamming out a full album that could go anywhere. One of the most comfy album/times ever. I used to play Oblivion with Piper at the gates of dawn in the xbox 360 player. How is it when you're younger you know what's good? I got retarded and bitter after. I truly wish I hadn't let so much rot cross my eyes since then.
