My wife confiscated some kind of like anti aging acid for skin from a girl, kept it after class, contacted her mother to tell her the kid had it since it's not safe for kids, and they accused my wife of trying to steal it for herself because it's expensive, wife actually got into trouble over it. They strongly discourage the teachers from having any interaction with the kids that isn't about lessons and pressure her to give passing grades kids that legit can't even read the textbook. They've gone over her head on this too. Just last year they passed a boy that drooled in class, can't read past 'the itsy bitsy spider', and keeps getting in trouble for biting and scratching people.. in high school. Their reasoning was sad. They haven't allowed her to fail anyone since covid. High schoolers, throwing tantrums and crying in class because BC and AD confuse them so bad. They threaten to get her fired for anything and everything pretty regularly. Can't even do anything about the kids just scrolling on their phones during class. Popped in to bring some shit to my wife once and there were multiple kids with airpods in both ears just zoned out while copying shit off of the projector, some of the kids on their phones playing games or scrolling through whatever.
