>>127606587I second it. I have Hail to England as 10/10 and Sign of the Hammer as 9/10.
>>127606763Added. And I agree with you two btw, this actually the best Manowar album I heard before I checked out ITG yesterday.
an interesting review about sign of the hammerhttps://www.loudersound.com/features/flash-metal-suicide-manowar-sign-of-the-hammerExcerpt:>But not as nuts as the album’s openers, All Men Play On Ten and Animals. First of all, O gods of metal, I mean no disrespect when I say this, but All Men Play On Ten is kind of a rap song. It is. It’s not like there wasn’t a precedent for NYC rockers to try their hand at rapping in the 80s – see Wendy O Williams, Dee Dee Ramone and Debby Harry for prime examples – so it’s not out of nowhere, but still, writing a song about how they’ll never change their sound and then changing their sound in that very song is some serious next-level shit.>And Animals is straight-up horny teenager glam metal. No way around it. It’s a fantastic wad of mid 80s bubblegum for sure, but “true metal” ? That might be a stretch, even for the Kings of Metal.
>>127606788>>First of all, O gods of metal, I mean no disrespect when I say this, but All Men Play On Ten is kind of a rap song. What the hell? I don't remember a single moment in that song even slightly reminiscent of rap.
>>127606763Out of curiosity, why do you rate Hail to England higher than sign of the hammer? Are you one of the people who likes instrumentals like Black Arrows?
First half's great and stands toe-to-toe with The Last in Line, but the second half has a few lesser songs. Only two real highlights for me:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bmyCZI6zBchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek-TJy5obeM
>>127606994I wonder what sunset superman is supposed to mean.
>>127607101One of those dio songs that seems to just be up to interpretation, because if there is a meaning I sure as hell can't tell you
>>127606801When I first saw the article, I didn't get it. But when I compared the vocal delivery to hiphop from around that era, it made more sense. Also how the verses are kinda minimalist. Most of it is just a drum beat to accompany the vocals, which are often kinda spoken. The other instruments just join in to mark the end of a line.
>>127607118It almost seems like a song about a dystopia.
>>127607216>But when I compared the vocal delivery to hiphop from around that era, it made more sense.Ahh. I'm not really familiar with early '80s hip-hop (on account of me really disliking rap and anything adjacent to it.)>Also how the verses are kinda minimalist. Most of it is just a drum beat to accompany the vocals, which are often kinda spoken. The other instruments just join in to mark the end of a line.Yeah I can somewhat see it now. Still think it's a pretty strange comparison, though. >>127607242Only the first verse really paints a picture of a dystopia in my head.>The night has a thousand eyes>But he moves in only places>Where the eyes can never be
>>127606807I think every song on Hail to England is extremely strong. Same with Sign of the Hammer with the lone exception of Animals, which is good song, but more filler-like than anything else on those two albums.I can enjoy instrumental songs, but I don't prefer it.
>>127607315Yeah, I can kinda see that. I think Animals is a little weaker than the other songs on sign of the hammer. It's interesting how the first 2 songs are totally different in vibes than the rest of the album.
>>127607369Yeah. I could see those two songs on Battle Hymns.
Completely buttfucks their debut in every possible way! Songwriting's better, riffs are heavier and more varied, production's seen a MASSIVE boost in quality, the guitar tone's got some nice crunch to it (reminiscent of George Lynch's tone on Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack), and Eizo Sakamoto's singing is less amateurish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ckwrjFl-Sghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1BJXT2VwhEhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyoBWwYrL44https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r967VWPsqA
>>127607369>Yeah, I can kinda see that. I think Animals is a little weaker than the other songs on sign of the hammer. It's a good song but it's the weakest if you don't include Thunderpick.
>>127607621i feel like thunderpick is supposed to be an extended intro to guyana.
>>127607646>i feel like thunderpick is supposed to be an extended intro to guyana.I guess? If so it's completely unnecessary and just took me out of an otherwise really good album.
>>127607275>Ahh. I'm not really familiar with early '80s hip-hop (on account of me really disliking rap and anything adjacent to it.)I like rap, but don't listen to that much of it. And I don't really go seeking out old hip-hop most of the time.>Yeah I can somewhat see it now. Still think it's a pretty strange comparison, though.I wouldn't have thought of myself without that article. While it's usually not delivered in this exact way, the singer (Eric Adams) does a similar halfway between singing and speaking on some other songs.* So I have no idea if this was coincidental or an intentional experiment from Manowar. But they may have done stranger things, so who knows. If anyone is wondering, I think this is one of the tracks that made me get what the writer of the article was saying:https://youtube.com/watch?v=4BbQIx3F1jA"I Can't Live Without My Radio" by LL Cool J is a very minimalist song, mostly rapping over a drum beat. With something that sounds like brasswind sample in between some verses. The vocal delivery is also pretty different stylistically than newer hiphop.I could also compare the lyrical subject of the song to some hiphop songs. A lot of them talk about how great performers they are. That one even talks about playing music loudly. Although, I think "we are great performers" is a pretty common topic for a song in all sorts of musical genres.*Off the top of my head, The Power of Thy Sword has him sounding like he's reading poetry for a lot of the verses.
>>127606994>>127607118An interesting thing that I read somewhere is that the role of Murray (their mascot) in the cover of the albums are also supposed to be up for interpretation. Like, is the mascot protecting someone or haunting them?Anyways, there's interesting stuff on the album. But I'm not sure which were standouts for me. In general, I didn't really like Dio's solo songs as much as some of his work with Sabbath or rainbow.I don't remember that much off the top of my head, but All the Fools sailed Away has this interesting sort of synthesizer solo and a choir on some of the chorus.
>>127607830>An interesting thing that I read somewhere is that the role of Murray (their mascot) in the cover of the albums are also supposed to be up for interpretation. Like, is the mascot protecting someone or haunting them?Interesting. I always thought he there just for the sake of having a mascot. :P>Anyways, there's interesting stuff on the album. But I'm not sure which were standouts for me. In general, I didn't really like Dio's solo songs as much as some of his work with Sabbath or rainbow.I love Holy Diver (the album) but otherwise I'm inclined to agree. I think Dio's best material is from his Rainbow years, specifically.
>>127607660I'm not sure if manowar plays thunderpick as the intro to guyana live, but I think there's no pause between the 2 songs on the album,On their next album they also have the intros to 2 songs as separate tracks. Drums of Doom is basically the intro to Holy War. Master of Revenge is the intro to Black Wind, Fire, and steel; you can hear it's theme used again at the end of that song.
>>127607924>Drums of DoomThese titles are why I can't bring myself to genuinely hate Manowar instrumentals. Like sure they're shit, but these fucking names are gold.
>>127607906>Interesting. I always thought he there just for the sake of having a mascot. :PIt could always be something they thought of afterwards or like a retcon. For holy diver he said, is it a demon killing a priest or a priest killing a demon?
>>127607972I don't think Holy Diver's album art is really up for debate, this is pretty clearly a demon drowning a priest with a chain.
>>127607972>>127608008Here's some interviews where he mentions what he meant: https://www.revolvermag.com/culture/dios-holy-diver-story-behind-cover-art/https://lasvegassun.com/news/2000/nov/17/the-wonder-years-rocker-dio-reflects-on-controvers/
>Needless to say, the reps at the record label were none too thrilled. "I seem to remember a little bit of 'Are you sure you wanna do this?' from the record company," the singer chuckles. "But the idea was to reverse the question of 'How come you've got a monster drowning a priest?' We wanted to be able to say, 'How do you know it's not a priest drowning a monster?' And I think that's kind of been proven out in the last few years with all the problems we've had in the Catholic Church. In hindsight, I like to think we were right about who we put in the water."You know what I get it now. You certainly could look at the album cover as the priest trying to take Murray down with him, it's not too far of a stretch.
https://youtu.be/XZ0CocSSpzw?si=86xoND90muKMNCxSDon's a struggler, poor guy's been through a lot; you can tell.
>>127609066This album was sad to listen to. Not because it's bad, but like you said the man's been through so much and it shows in his voice.
>>127606083Reposting some of my thoughts on wasp's debut self titled:>>127602728>I liked most of the songs. Including the stuff that was originally on singles, like "Animal (Fuck Like a Beast)", "Show No Mercy", and their cover of "Paint It Black".>The 2 songs that weren't really as good for me on their self titled were "School Daze" and "The Flame". I didn't hate them, they weren't as good. Maybe I'll like them more if I got used to them? Idk.>School daze has cool riff. Except it only gets used in the intro. The rest of the song is like a chord progression I guess.>Not sure why I didn't find the Flame that interesting. Interestingly, i think it's the most rock-n-roll vibe song on the album.Interestingly school daze has a kinda sad vibe to it. Maybe because of the (power) chord progression used.
>>127609232>Interestingly school daze has a kinda sad vibe to it.I wouldn't say sad, in fact what it reminds me of is US power metal. The chord progression on that song reminds me a lot of stuff off Jag Panzer - Ample Destruction and a few other albums from around the same time. (But to be fair, a lot of WASP's debut album's guitarwork remind me of USPM. It's strangely aggressive for a pure metal album.)
Some further thoughts: School daze is not the only song like that. (To me at least) Despite sometimes being considered a hair/glam metal band, there's not really many happy or upbeat songs on the album (lyrically).I wanna be somebody is probably the most upbeat/positive song on there. Animal is raunchy. But the other song about sex on the album, L.O.V.E. Machine, is a bit sadder. Mentioning broken hearts and such.>>127609323>(But to be fair, a lot of WASP's debut album's guitarwork remind me of USPM. It's strangely aggressive for a pure metal album.)Which songs were like that for you?
>>127609385>Which songs were like that for you?Animal, I Wanna Be Somebody (that's too heavy of a riff to be considered pure trad metal, there's some USPM here), On Your Knees, the galloping riff at 0:25 in The Torture Never Stops, but the main one is Hellion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARygIsf92LMObviously Blackie's singing isn't in a USPM style; but for me there are definite parallels with the guitarwork on their debut and early USPM. And Hellion to my ears just sounds like a USPM song without theatrical, epic vocals. Like this song would not at all be out of place on Savatage's debut.
Would guns n roses be metal enough for this thread? Definitely heavier than other glam stuff like poison, but they aren't on metal archives.
>>127609519>Would guns n roses be metal enough for this thread? No, they're pretty much '70s Aerosmith updated for the '80s
>>127609442What do you think of jack action from their next album: https://youtube.com/watch?v=t1jhvniL9ZM
>>127609732Nah this is pure trad, doesn't have the aggression nor heaviness a song like Hellion does. Good song, though! I've always thought The Last Command was a worthy, and honestly pretty underrated successor to their debut.
I posted it cause it vaguely reminds me of Kings of metal from manowar.
>>127609780I can see why you were reminded of it, but the Manowar song's riffing is heavier and so is the guitar tone. Also helps that the production on this song is also more raw, too.

>>127612381It's just a play on their band name lol. Virgin SteeleAge of Consent
>>127612393No, It ties into the title track.
>>127612489Does it really? Huh, then I don't then know then. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Basically that album probably has the most cringey/dated combo of Track title, album name, and band name.I present to you "Seventeen" on the "Age of Consent" album by "Virgin Steele":https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEgA46l9j9wOk, it's technically not the title track since it doesn't have the same name as the album, but it gets namedropped repeatedly in the chorus:>Sweet Seventeen - Age Of Consent>Seventeen - Age Of Consent>Seventeen - Age Of Consent, Seventeen...
Aside from uhhhhh that, the song's pretty good. And no, it's not a cover of the Winger song of with the same name: https://youtube.com/watch?v=KsthiOYDM9A
>>127612559>that's the actual chorusAnd the chorus doesn't even sound good. The singer's doing some weird hick thing when he says "AGE OF CONSENT" and it just sounds fucking bizarre. Is this meant to be a parody of those kind of rock songs? Because this sounds so out of left-field even compared to their first album (which is the only one I've checked out as of now.)
>>127612559Only a few songs are worth listening to off this album. Virgin Steele's 80s output is pretty shit. The 90s is when they start getting consistently good.
>>127611738>>127611770IMO it's probably one of the greatest power metal tracks ever.I think it takes some artistic license or it might be metaphorical in some sense, as the burning of rome happened at at a different time than the destruction of pompeii.
>>127612639If it makes you feel better (it won't), that's the age of consent in New York where the band is from.>Is this meant to be a parody of those kind of rock songs? Because this sounds so out of left-field even compared to their first album (which is the only one I've checked out as of now.)Nope, I don't think so.
>>127612673>Only a few songs are worth listening to off this album. Which ones did you have in mind?>Virgin Steele's 80s output is pretty shit. The 90s is when they start getting consistently good. It's not as good as the Marriage Albums, but I think they have a lot of great tracks from that era.

>>127612714>>127612751https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Virgin_Steele/Age_of_Consent/934880And this is the version I'm referencing. Much better than the original release since the best songs are in the first half and the shit ones in the second.
>>127612751I liked most of those. I also like Chains of Fire a lot:https://youtube.com/watch?v=fryLYTvxpLg>>127612768DeFeis does this thing where he tends to add a bunch of brand new bonus tracks when re-releasing an album. Serpent's kiss wasn't on the original version.
>>127612703>If it makes you feel better (it won't), that's the age of consent in New York where the band is from.I'm from the state over (Connecticut) and our AOC is 16 so that doesn't matter much to me. My problem is that the song isn't good in spite of its subject matter, it's pretty generic and doesn't have anything really going for it. But the death knell for me, is like I said; that fucking chorus. (And seriously what's with that weird voice he puts on during it?)
>>127612639>Is this meant to be a parody of those kind of rock songs? Because this sounds so out of left-field even compared to their first album (which is the only one I've checked out as of now.)Out of left field in what sense? Aside from that, the first 2 albums probably aren't as good as the ones after that (especially the 90s albums). But they definitely have some great tracks like Children of the Storm and Redeeer (among others)
>>127612862>Out of left field in what sense? Sonically and the subject matter.
>>127612880>Sonically I'm not sure if you mean the mixing, or the song structure/riffs. There'd be a difference in both. There's probably multiple reasons for the change between albums. The mixing on the first 2 albums was originally kinda bad. But they recently made a new version with a different (and probably much better) mix, which is on their official youtube page. You can still find unofficial uploads of the older mix. That might be part of it.In terms of riff style and structure, it might be because they got a new guitarist on their 3rd album, Noble Savage. The previous guitarist Jack Starr was involved in writing a lot of their tracks before that (usually along side David DeFeis).https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_Steele_(album)https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardians_of_the_Flame_(album)The previous guitarist, Jack Starr's playing/soloing style was also a bit different. Off the top of my head, on some songs like 'The Redeemer' I think sometimes did these little guitar fills.>Subject matterThey definitely had sexual & romance themes before. Are you just talking about how dated it is?This also could be affected by the change in writers.
>>127613132>or the song structure/riffs. This. Probably should've specified. :P>They definitely had sexual & romance themes before. Are you just talking about how dated it is?Not exactly? It's more so in conjunction with the songwriting style. Sure there was some material off the first LP I remember being about sex & girls, but none of the songs there really sounded like full-on cock rock y'know? Seventeen (VS) is a pretty glammy song, and the chorus just doesn't sound like anything I remember off of the first LP.>This also could be affected by the change in writers. This sounds the most likely to me. Also when you mention Jack Starr, is he the same Jack Starr that was in the band Jack Starr's Burning Starr?
>>127613250>This sounds the most likely to me. Also when you mention Jack Starr, is he the same Jack Starr that was in the band Jack Starr's Burning Starr?the very same.
to be clear i don't know how much jack starr was involved in writing lyrics. Some songs he definitely wrote lyrics on, like "Go Down Fighting", because he's the only person with writing credits for that song.I like that song a lot, but his solo stuff in burning starr didn't really catch my attention.
Nevermind, it looks like both collaborated for a lot of the song lyrics. Messed up links in previous post, so deleted it and re-did it.>>127613250For comparison. Here's some other tracks on there. I personally don't really see it, at least in terms of riffs. That album definitely had it's share of ballads and and softer songs, but I don't think these are really cock rock. Maybe glam, but I'm not familiar with that genre really.https://youtube.com/watch?v=eTn7x1Dc7Kk https://youtube.com/watch?v=Z-7xw7aWhgE https://youtube.com/watch?v=XtNMfkThBfE I don't remember what I think of these 3.The album afterwards, life among the ruins, did go a little in the cockrock direction (but not that far). It had some songs like this:>Sex Religion Machinehttps://youtube.com/watch?v=mgqfGWz4UzE>Too Hot To Handlehttps://youtube.com/watch?v=RbBPs1SQoyc Not all the songs with romantic/sexual themes were cock rock though:https://youtube.com/watch?v=cJviaLml2OY This one's is a cover of a famous blues song, Hoochie Coochie Man:https://youtube.com/watch?v=cCvg9O98lPA Strangely, I've seen people call this song from a later album something like hard rock. Which doesn't make sense to me at all.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asOLAwRuHs4
>>127613510I'll note that the anniversary edition of those 2 albums with new mixes also changes the structure of some of the songs. For instance, the original mix has rhythm guitar for that song during the solo, but the new mix only has bass during the solo
>>127613874>On Wings of the NightWell I can tell you right now this one isn't glam. If this is glam, then 80% of JP's discography is glam. >Chains of Fire:I can see the argument for this one but again, not glam. >That album definitely had it's share of ballads and and softer songs, but I don't think these are really cock rock. Maybe glam, but I'm not familiar with that genre really.Alright so glam is kind of a nebulous genre, but every single glam song has one of these two aspects: catchy riffing based on hard rock, and a particular reliance on hooks. There's other aspects too ('80s overproduction, party lyrics, basic; digestible for the masses songwriting, etc.) but these are the main two that make whenever something's glam or not a dead giveaway. And I've also listened to a LOT of glam in the past, and I can say without question that those two songs are in no way glam metal. They just don't have any of the characteristics of the genre. >Sex Religion MachineAbout as glam as Skid Row-circa Slave to the Grind. Aka not much, more dirty; hard 'n' heavy than catchy and friendly.>Too Hot To HandleGlam. One listen to the main riff and chorus told me all I needed to know. >Strangely, I've seen people call this song from a later album something like hard rock. Which doesn't make sense to me at all. This sounds like fucking Iron Maiden with a more metallic guitar tone. In no way is this hard rock lol.
>>127613874>This one's is a cover of a famous blues song, Hoochie Coochie Man:On second thought this one is definitely more raunchy than the original. Battle Hymn is without question the best song this band has ever put out, but even outside of that monolith of a track there's a lot of good shit here. (Also helps that the gratuitous instrumental on this record isn't that long and is at least more than meaningless wank. ) I'm glad I revisited this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXsaDaCVDBEhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGcyAirbP_8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7pd7tMgU4shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtNqj9g8HJE

Also reminder to everyone ITT: the chart is still a WIP, however if by the time this thread archives and no more suggestions have been made (or any previous ones are seconded) then I'll fill the rest out myself like I did for 1983's. Here are the albums that need one more vote in order to get on:Armored Saint - March of the SaintDeep Purple - Perfect StrangersEurope - Wings of TomorrowGary Moore - Victims of the FutureJag Panzer - Ultimate DestructionOmen - Battle CryWarlock - Burning the WitchesWarlord - And the Cannons of Destruction Have Begun...Witch Cross - Fit for FightYngwie Malmsteen - Rising Force
>>127623417What do you think of the re-recorded version?
>>127623976Can't say, I've never listened to it and I always try and avoid re-recordings like the plague unless the album really needed it. And Battle Hymns does NOT need a re-recording, it sounds perfectly fine.
>>127623417>Battle Hymn is without question the best song this band has ever put outhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbWxzLpKhY4
>>127624019Great song but my opinion remains unchanged. :P (This wasn't even my favorite off ItG either, Hatred was.)

>>127624040>I liked Death ToneReally good but the strange drumbeat mildly annoys me. >Metal FazeGreat song>Shell ShockAlmost put it up there but I liked Fast Taker and Manowar just that extra bit more.
>>127623991I wish they would just remix Sign of the hammer instead of re-recording it. Same for the other album they re-recorded (kings of metal).
>>127624070>I wish they would just remix Sign of the hammer instead of re-recording it. >re-recording itI hate when bands do this so much. Especially when it's a band as old as Manowar is; you just KNOW right from the fucking get-go it's not going to be as good as the original recording.
>>127624088There's no way Eric Adam's is going to be able to do that 30 second scream at the end of Thor (the Powerhead) at his age.
>>127624065>Really good but the strange drumbeat mildly annoys me.I'm not sure if its like a sidestick technique on the snare drum, or something like a cowbell or percussion block.Anyways, That's one of the things I liked about the song.
A marked improvement over their admittedly pretty shoddy (though still fun) debut. Surprisingly poorly rated over on RYM and I honestly don't get why, this was a really solid album and I loved how much Rainbow influence was on display in the title track.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVrjRTSFQB8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNtOYjwmrkU (the first song from their first two LPs that is genuinely amazing)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl4PA5nvQHg (essential intro to next song)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzjvrWwQiNs>>127624160>There's no way Eric Adam's is going to be able to do that 30 second scream at the end of Thor (the Powerhead) at his age.If he tried to do that scream it could probably do some serious damage to his body. And again, this is the reason why re-recordings (especially for such an old band like this) is such an awful fucking idea. It will NEVER compare to the original. https://youtu.be/qgwm4pth8LI?t=275>>127624209>or something like a cowbell or percussion block.Sounded like a cowbell to my ears.>Anyways, That's one of the things I liked about the song.I see why, but cowbells annoy me quite a bit when they veer even slightly out of the structure of a song. (Just listen to Public Enemy #1 off Motley Crue's debut if you want a real bad example.)
>>127624247If you are looking up tracks on youtube, you might want to use https://music.youtube.com . it might have slightly better audio quality than regular youtube (or maybe just a little louder). Also for some reason, it's sometimes hard to find the official tracks when searching in the normal youtube. I think youtube's search has gone to shit. The anniversary remix editions of some of those tracks might have different instrument tracks. Those are the ones on the official virgin steele channel on youtube. Like on the redeemer, the orchestra keys that play during the guitar solo are much different in the new remix (I prefer the old sound of the keys slightly). On the first album apparently a few of the master tapes were a little damaged, and they had to make creative changes for the remix. I'm not sure if that was the case on the second album. Those newer remixes are also on bandcamp:https://virginsteele.bandcamp.com/album/virgin-steele-i-the-anniversary-editionhttps://virginsteele.bandcamp.com/album/guardians-of-the-flame-the-anniversary-edition

>>127624660>first 2 albums are the Keyboard solos that popped up on longer tracks. This is what I was referring to when I said "Rainbow influence"! That long keyboard solo in the title track reminded me so much of the solo in A Light in the Black. >There's also some bonus tracks and demos on here. I'm not a mega fan of this band so I'm probably not going to check these out right now, but it's nice to know these exist.
>>127624683I wonder why the keyboard solos weren't really done anymore. DeFeis (the singer) was the band leader after that point and he was the one playing them. Maybe a stylistic choice.Anytime they re-release an album they tend to add new tracks. Some are eh, but some can be pretty good.

>>127646803No, that's exactly it. He had AIDS but still slept around knowing full well he did, which led to the families of some of his victims going after Atlantic and the publishing companies - it's why the two Badlands albums (the third one is just a compilation of demos that's been OoP for decades anyway) have never been formally in print since the early '90s. Rock Candy Records in the UK reissued them but then they got pulled only within a couple of months. >>127659001This reminds me a lot of Coven, (aka the band that played evil hippie rock) I wouldn't ever call this metal but I can see how it influenced KD
>>127659036>This reminds me a lot of CovenLISTENING!
>>127659057Eh, I wouldn't really recommend them personally. They're like a fun novelty, if Black Sabbath were an acid rock band in the '60s.
>>127659036I got the CD ages ago. It is very listenable cause it's so 'different' to anything else I think. Kinda like an evil Spinal Tap or so lol.
>>127659075Ozzy sabbath sucks to begin brah

>>127659477
>>127659471they are awesome brah brahECHOESOF A DISTANT BATTLE
>>127658816Absolutely. Saw them perform the first album in July, finishing with songs from the next 3. The Torture Never Stops alone was worth the ticket. I never miss an opportunity to see W.A.S.P.
>>127659872thanks for the reply but how many songs did they play from their first 3 albums? if none then I don't give a shit
>>127659897You can literally check for yourselfhttps://www.setlist.fm/search?artist=63d69e37&query=wasp
>>127659897I'll repeat it: they played the entire first album in order. There were 2 from TLC; 3 from ITEC. Another 3 from THC.
>>127659934>the first and last songs are the ones I'm really interested inuhhh yeah I think I'll skip it
>>127659960alright so which one is it? I looked at the recent playlists and they were cringe

Kind of like if Accept was slanted towards power metal rather than speed. If you like German trad (Scorpions, Accept, Sinner, etc.) this should be right up your alley.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88UH3lTRiYQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWh4Q46lkg4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBpBpQVD9Sc
>>127660155It*s some guy no one here likes who is called Linus. Awful pedo.Don't worry, we mostly exclude that guy here. We are cool and wholesome metalbros.

>>127660664Damn, this rocks. I am an older metalhead but damn this AI stuff is really something. Soon, this will be all people are listening to.
>>127660682I've generated a ton of stuff on my channel. I know not everyone likes it, I get some haters etc, but I've been doing it for over a year and get more and more impressed also :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd2JGI04vkk
And this is why these threads shouldn't be linked in /meal/ -_-
>>127660698Can you post some more, I think this stuff seriously is some of the best music I have heard in the last 5-10 years. Cool!
>>127660718Thanks, and glad you like! Be sure and subscribe also if you're on Youtube. I was saying in another thread, I like hearing other people's AI generations and the styles they're into, especially if they're similar to mine. This is one of my faves. Kinda like Mercyful Fate and I made the 3 dogs of doom disappear at the end of it lol:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6YHkLpJ8-s
>>127660764I love the message in some of your songs, you seem to seek the truth. That is quite brave. Any redpill music among your art?
The anti-dog culture subject matter is something personal to me. There's too many out of control beasts that can literally delete people. I got sick of it, so started generating AI songs about the horrors of them. Nobody should live in fear of an attack from one of these beasts.
>>127660796Sure, did one on Tesla last night. I will do ones on Tavistock and more on the Epstein files in the future. I did one on P-gate when I started, but I got a warning from Youtube and it got deleted lol.
>>127660798This intrigues me greately. What happened to you that you grew to hate dogs? I was crippled by a dog, have ot sit in a wheelchair. I wish all dogs would be destroyed. One dog even destroyed my favorite Judas Priest shirt from their 84 tour. I hate them more than Hitler. You are brave for calling them out so cleverly.
/trad/ - Traditional Heavy Metal RIP
>>127660845All Linus' fault for linking it.
>>127660839Sorry to hear that. Tell me what happened? I just hate their growling, aggressive behaviour, and begging for food and they force them into schools and hospitals to try and get people to like them when they're flea infested vermin basically.
The entire reason I made these threads in the fucking first place was to get away from /metal/'s bullshit and actually talk about metal. Please stop bringing that crap over here, you already have your own thread to do this shit in.>>127660845I'm not linking to the new one when this thread archives.
>>127660887Did you know Ozzy Osbourne sexually molested his little dogs and he died of a STD caused by the dogsexing.
>>127660896Damn, what an hysterical drama queen. Start acting like a man and blast Dogmuncher.
>>127660900I'm against cruelty to all living things, including dogs. In fact, dog owners tend to be the cruelest to them, cause they're very needy. Dog sexing is bad for sure though. Holy shit xD
>serbnigger is talking to himself
>>127660931It's good to beat your dog up sometimes, it makes them stronger and gives them discipline. I rock out to Metallica while dogtraining personally. Awesome rocking tunes.
>>127660896>I'm not linking to the new one when this thread archives. It won't matter now: you have 2 (scat fetishist and "AI Serb") of the 3 most cancerous trolls infecting the general now. The rat with complete the trifecta.
>>127660953Cruelty to living things (cause dogs aren't technically animals, they're mutants). Dog owners. My point is proven.
>>127660976Sometimes you need to be cruel to things you love my dude. There were metal songs about this.
>>127660973Fuck off. I'm not a troll. The glowies want you to think I am because I talk 'outside the mainstream'. Here's another good one :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-zeXLpy_r4
>>127660990No time for people who are cruel to dogs. I've met awful people on both the pro and anti dog side.
>>127660973>It won't matter now: you have 2 (scat fetishist and "AI Serb") of the 3 most cancerous trolls infecting the general now. Yep. It was fun while it lasted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The diaper thing is weird though. Is it a janny?
>>127661020It*s Hector.
>>127661028Ahh. He should be like me and generate AI slop (content) instead of diaper slop :)
>>127661020Yes. It's the fag claiming it's Hector.
I sincerely hope a pack of pitbulls maul you to the point that looking in a mirror makes you want to kill yourself but are rendered bedridden and powerless to do anything about it
>>127661056So much hatred. Grow up, seriously.
One about Antarctica coming up!!! \\m// No DJ Dogmuncher tonight. Good dance is very hard to generate with AI nowadays and I don't wanna generate a sub-standard dance song 'for the sake of it'.
