>Is [genre/band/album] fit for /trad/?
If you have to ask this, it probably isn’t and you should take what you want to talk about somewhere else.
>When will charts be added to the OP?
Once we finish all of the main charts for the '80s and move onto the '90s.

=== POLL ===
For the next thread and all of October, the album poll will be exclusively Halloween themed! Any album that I've listened to that has significant elements of the holiday (all doom metal is included by default) has a chance to be included. Here are some example albums:
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath (1970)
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus (1986)
Hallows Eve - Tales of Terror (1985)
Mercyful Fate - Melissa (1983)
Satan - Court in the Act (1983)
Trouble - The Skull (1985)

=== CHART ===
The 1985 chart is still in progress! For those of you that missed out (or want to suggest something else), reply to this post with what albums you want included! Here is the criteria:
1 Vote = Put on the list.
2 Votes = Put on the list and has a higher chance of being included.
3+ Votes = Guaranteed to be on the chart.

An EP that's consistently great but the only standout amazing song is Battle Zones.
(I'd link it but there is no individual upload for that song, only the '03 remix.)

A few songs go on a tad too long, and I would've liked a bit more variety in arrangements at points, but otherwise there were no issues with this phenomenal release. I've also read that their follow-up has even more USPM in it, so I'm very excited to check that one out.

Has some early European power metal in the form of the title track (and to a lesser extent Straight Into the Night), but outside of that it's a fairly routine hard/heavy blend from the early '80s. The sound here is similar to Scorpions, and '70s Riot; specifically Rock City.
Also WTF is that album cover???

It was! Unlike a lot of other forgotten bands these guys really did deserve an actual album, they had the chops to make something great and it's a damn shame they never got that far.
Highlights for me were the vocals (that fucker can howl), drumming, and the first two tracks.

I think Tell No Tales is definitely the better of the two but the cover of Intuition is so much cooler.
Every song on Tell no Tales hits. The pacing is great. I've played it so many times. Intuition, not really.

Well I'll be damned, this is the real fucking deal. (I'd like to comment on the title of the upload, though. In my opinion the beginning is the only part of the song that's really doom metal-ish., the remainder is a hard rock/heavy metal blend like what Budgie played a lot of the time.)
And speaking of Budgie, am I the only one that hears quite a few similarities with this song's main riff and Crash Course in Brain Surgery's? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8To13-xos8

Manages to edge out their already stellar debut, but only by a hair; mainly due to the souped up songwriting and the epic songs being just that extra bit more ambitious.
A phenomenal record and one all of you should check out.

Very solid heavy/power album, not a lot to really say about it, though. (Well aside from the guitarwork on Shadows being fucking breathtaking and the title track being a total ripper.)

This is much better than I remembered. And hell, outside of Pounding Metal (still not strong on that song desu) this is arguably an improvement over Heavy Metal Maniac; mainly in the production department. I love HMM's crunchy, chainsaw-like guitar tone quite a bit; but that album in my opinion is sabotaged by a subpar production that has too much reverb. The songs themselves are great, but man do I really wish that record sounded like this one does.
