>>127856117This desu. Literally anything that FL studio does can be run from inside a patcher. You can parallel process inside a patch. You can run a patcher inside a patcher. A patcher in the effects rack can contain an instrument, a patcher in the instrument rack can contain effects. You can build your own synths in patcher cobbled together out of your favorite other plugins and the built in envelope and LFO controllers in FL studio. You can build your own create your own custom effects plugins using simple tools like FL pan and delay.A patcher patch can run an exact copy of itself inside itself for fractal effects. Patcher is like an autism building game inside FL studio.Of course image line does a terrible job of telling you any of this.

https://youtu.be/NvsvBL7b8DgWhen the drums come in at 1:49 they're accompanied by those rhythmic wet noises in the background. How do you make those? The only way I know how to make wet sounds is by using a notch filter boost with resonance, then modulating the filter cutoff knob with a sample & hold LFO, and playing an inaudibly low note on the keyboard, but this seems way more controlled so I feel like a different technique is being used.I wish there was an instrumental of this, I don't like all the gooner vocals on Sophie's late music. It has the best production though.
>>127880674>Blueprinted with unprecedented potential, the Roland TR-1000 Rhythm Creator marries historic heat, analog presence, and digital precision into a polychromic powerhouse built on the masterfully re-created circuits of the legendary TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines. Its hybrid architecture houses a trio of synth engines, bringing a prismatic palette of FM, PCM, and VA possibilities to the TR-1000's analog foundations, with ACB modeling supplying the coveted circuit-bent sonics of the 8X and 9X models. Over 2,500 onboard sounds join a wealth of digital and analog effects while the suite of classic-to-contemporary connectivity effortlessly integrates the TR-1000 into any arrangement. Add in cutting-edge Morphing performance controls, next-gen TR-REC sequencing. true-stereo re/sampling, and an unbridled array of sonic contouring tools, and you've only scratch the surface of the TR-1000's kaleidoscopic capabilities — vintage heart, modern soul. and endless exploration waiting to be discovered by you.Ahahahah yet another vst in a box from roland.

>>127883733not analog = vst in a box?retarded take if so.
>>127883745It's just irksome they can never say outright which parts are analog and which are digital, just look at the ad copy they're doing so much to confuse you into thinking it is somehow analog when the only analog thing about it is probably some filter at the end i.e. about as analog as a volca sample. I really wouldn't mind if they'd say "here's a virtual analog modeling of 808 and 909 with great ux and many other functions" but they just cannot resist trying to scam you.>not analog = vst in a box? It's a computer that runs software which goes through a DAC, how is it *not* equivalent to a vst in a box? There's nothing wrong with digital hardware I own several, just call it what it is though.
>>127883814the point of hardware was never to be analog, it just happened to be analog. the point of hardware to me is that you get a certain workflow that is tactile and physically controllable and just because you reproduce the same knobs in a vst doesn't mean it feels the same to work with. idk what's up with people lately denying a fundamental part of what makes us human and then go on to pretend that clicking around on an ui on a screen would be the same experience. the only hardware I'd liken to just being a vst in a box would be shit like Blofeld where the piece of shit has so few physical knobs and requires so much menu diving that it might as well just be a digital interface all together.
>>127883902>the point of hardware was never to be analog, it just happened to be analog.Sure, I can agree with that, actually I agree with your whole post. But that makes it all the more stupid of roland to try to market their digital shit as "analog".
>>127883925if how something is marketed becomes a hill to die on we're cooked though because I can't even shop for rice cookers anymore without them claiming that they have "AI features" in them when not only that isn't true, but it literally cannot be true and everyone who knows how many fucking GPUs are cooked alive to generate "AI" things could tell at a glance because said rice cooker does not in fact come with a built-in nvidia 5090
>>127883745>not analog = vst in a box?pretty much. a lot of synths/drum machines being released for thousands of dollars are rocking a cpu not much more powerful than a raspberry pi 2 or so, some even have less memory, and many are using open source libraries like JUCE or CLAP. they just output to their custom chips like a dsp or dac. oh, nearly forgot the now standard and garbage black and white lcd screen people can barely read.that'll be $4000, thanks. no refunds. faggot.
>>127884582I bought an instrument that is factually just some software running on a teensy 4.1 in a custom shell and I have no regrets.

>>127884870you're missing the entire point. people are being told one thing by these corporations but the reality is different. if more people knew how shit the tech was they were buying for thousands of dollars they would pass on it and just use a VST plugin. one of the beautiful things about this shitty situation is that making emulators for these outrageously expensive and low tech devices is going to be easy.
>>127885022I guess for these devices the point is not cutting edge technology but the UX. I absolutely don't know if they nail it though. A friend of mine is really thrilled by his circuit rythm. I don't think vst plugins are this fun.

BUT IT’S EMO!the key to these songs will just be avoiding doing overdubs and getting the main drum/guitar/bass tracks sounding authentic and cool without any tricks. overall both songs should be under 16 tracks if i can engineer them right, and then mix will be painless

>>127896782>too artificial?yes. you don't need both sausig and soundgoodizer because both try to achieve similar results. you can go nuts if you have a fundamental understanding of what you're doing, otherwise stick with just one maximizer/saturator, and mind the order of the effects(personal order: eq->impact->imager->dyn eq->sausage or soundgoodizer->limiter.)
>>127898002>you don't need both sausig and soundgoodizer because both try to achieve similar resultsAgreed, but I only put sausage at like 2% and soundgoodizer at ~30%.What's the job of impact and dyn eq?
>>127898072you're not applying much then.https://docs.izotope.com/ozone12/en/impact.htmlhttps://docs.izotope.com/ozone12/en/dynamic-eq.html
>>127898156>The Impact module directly controls the microdynamics of a signal, enabling dynamic range expansion and compressionYou don't understand how much that's pure gibberish to me.
>>127898242not her but dynamic range means how much the sound gets louder and quieter, expansion makes the dynamic range higher, compression makes it lower
>>127898308Thanks.
>>127896782>Am I making it sound too artificial?Your music is going to sound like shit because it's obvious you don't know anything, plugin stack or not. I'm expecting your musical talent to only 50% know how to play a major scale judging by the retarded questions you ask.
https://vocaroo.com/18Qhu0aXVIckmade a stupid little vocal house track today
>>127898462Don't overestimate me faggot.
sunday funday. guitars still sound little bland to me. the humanize knob can only go so farhttps://voca.ro/1cv6xgUXW0J2
basic bitch acid and filtershttps://vocaroo.com/1lAWshPBiiZE
>>127898002but soundgoodizer is a multiband compressor and sausage is more like a saturator/exciter, right? If so it's perfectly valid to use em both. Also if you don't know what you're doing but you make your whole track with the master fx already on, playing "into" them, you can still get good results IMO.
>>127899802i don't use sausage, but i believe is some sort of compressor, saturator, and clipper.i also don't have any of soundgoodizer presets on maximus to check whether they utilizes saturation, but i'm betting some of them do.>it's prefectly valid to use em bothI don't know tbdesu because i don't know much.
>>127899989>>127899802 here again I don't even use vstsisn't it great to talk out your ass about shit you know nothing about?
Maaaaaaaaaaan, FUCK them four-on-the-floor beats!https://vocaroo.com/1gDSMIiruPZB
>>127883814These little OLED screens are cancer, give me the big fucking green LCD or even some LED digits. My RS7000 has a nice fairly big screen as well as a display for BPM or bar and measure which is a big LED red number display.
>>127884582>>127883733True analog has never gotten past the 16-note bottleneckIf Korg released an OASYS 2.0 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite as its processor, the entire keyboard would cost close to $20,000
>>127885022>if more people knew how shit the tech was they were buying for thousands of dollars they would pass on it and just use a VST pluginUnless you own an Akai MPC, which is so truthful about being a DAW in a box that they sell you VSTs of other brand's synths
i can't get my shit to alias right FUCK
>>127902111At this point just buy another synth. I think with the Minilogue XD you can actually link the two up so they act as one synth with twice the voices, which gives you 12. Another pair is 24 and you're only in about $1200 or whatever. Granted it'd be two, 12-note synths. But still.
>>127902657>24 voice polyphonyYou guys like centipedes or something?
>>127902168Nu-MPC only has one flaw, no SYSEX saving and sending. Other than that it's great and in every way is an evolution of the old MPCs. They have better timing apparently too.As a user of both I can say that the nu-MPC works identically to the old one in every functional way. And it has benefits over the old one - an MPC One, which is their entry level product, can use standard USB audio and MIDI adapters, turning it into a multi-channel mixer and recorder as well as allowing you to add as many MIDI ports as you wish. I currently have an 8x8 MIDI adapter hooked to mine giving me a grand total of 9 MIDI IN's and 9 MIDI OUTs. This also takes a lot of the old school pain of MIDI away, where you'd have to daisy chain everything or jump from the $000 MPC 2000 to the $5000 MPC 3000 to basically just get 2 more MIDI outs.I can't really think of a flaw with the nu-MPC other than the SYSEX issue, which people used to use to set up their performances and patches etc. on their synths and such. It's a niggle but not a deal killer. They have hinted they may add this in an upcoming update so fingers crossed!
>>127902407i think you're right i should be using ABSYNTH thanks bro i was being so dum
do it anon https://voca.ro/18GRxgmu3azR
>>127903966Am I supposed to masturbate in time to it or something?
>>127899139Is that a VST you're using for the bass? Sounds pretty nice if so. I'm looking for a decent bass VST of some kind as a temp measure before I commit to buying an actual bass guitar.
>>127901444nice, nearly closed the vocaroo window immediately on hearing those drums, but I gave it a chance and it turned out to be pretty cool.
Oh shit so Chuzo was right this entire time?https://youtu.be/DMiS9Ocrqvk

>>127902819>I can't really think of a flaw with the nu-MPC other than the SYSEX issueI'd really like a multiband compressor, but like you say, niggle not a deal killer. Multiband Filterbank looks interesting, but not $99 interesting.
https://vocaroo.com/1oERT2UwXlRbidek what this is
>>127884582massive truth bomb.I've seen people get physically violent at the notion that their heckin trad analog based physical music hardware (worth $thousands and blood sweat and tears) may actually be sonically equal to the fake&gay digitalfag vstranny pluginslop.analog is basically a religion now
>>127905899i agree but you need to unplug and go through an internet detox dude jfc
>>127904929I try to use onboard processing in my synths when possible, I have a Roland virtual studio with an extra effects card, which gives me 4 channels of live effects at once which isn't a lot, but it's enough for my uses.I've never bought any extra stuff for the nu-MPC, I just don't roll like that. It looks like all the big synth makers are putting stores into their instruments and I just think that's gay.>>127905899>may actually bePeople object to your nonsense because you're a retard, it has nothing to do with whatever topic you're trying to discuss. Heck you even had to use little slimy Jewish weasel words right here, because deep down inside you know you're a serial liar and nobody likes you or respects your opinion. You don't deserve attention, but you feel entitled to it. It's why you're trans.
