Fender 212R

When did you grow up and realize that Fender is better than Gibson in every single way? From concept to execution and everything in between? Also that Martin is head and shoulders better than every single other acoustic guitar manufacturer on the planet and it's not close?

What's the most sophisticated, classical, finish for a Les Paul?
A rich brown natural finish, like orchestral string instruments?
Piano black with gold hardware?
A vintage burst that is a cross between the two above?
>>
>>128086829
their violin burst actually looks bad imo. i think tobacco burst is the best

I struggle finding anything cooler than a simple sunburst Strat. These Tom Anderson models and this finish tickle my fancy...which is still a Sunburst strat if you think about it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPlM5NhxGxQ
>>
>>128087735
This is so much better than the sunbursts that go from color to black.
>>
>>128087772
2 tone (50s Strat) is from black to yellow.. and 3 tone (60s) is black, red, and yellow, I think. That one has no black, I guess. It's called Fire Wakesurf. All of their Wakesurf finishes are pretty sweet. But they all cost an arm and a leg.

Just don't do what Steve Morse did. His technique worked for him and he was an alternate picking freak but it did injure him in the long run. Now he suffers for it.
>>
>>128087101
Learn from Anton Oparin. There’s one universal technique.

The Black Beauty is her dad's guitar. After a tuner breaks during a performance Bocchi returns it to him for maintenance and buys herself a slightly modded by the store Pacifica 611 with money she earned with her YT channel.
>>
>>128088511
Not exactly. I think just the tuners broke during a show. It was also her dad's guitar anyway.

I second this. Call around to local shops and ask if they know any luthiers. I take my guitars to a boomer shop 45 minutes away. They charge 90 for a setup and 150 for a Floyd setup but they build their own custom instruments and are licensed fender repair techs. They always come back as if the guitar came out of a custom shop. For me it’s worth it for a one and done on every guitar I buy.
>>
reminder that DC specials are better than SGs
>>
>>128089591
Does the setup include fret dressing and recrowning or only truss rod adjust/action/intonation?
>>
>>128089601
NTA but my local luthier charges $250 for fret dressing + setup which includes a custom cut nut as well. I assume his is similar.
>>
>>128089617
I didnt remember asking you this. Plus charges vary by location, so this does nothing to help me. Fuck you and your luthier.
>>
>>128089601
It’s not a full fret job but they level polish and dress the frets. If there’s any kind of sprout or sharp edges they’ll round those off and polish them. When I get the guitars back the frets feel glassy and I have no dead notes. I have them set all my guitars up to factory specs, so whatever the manual tells them to do. I think on my charvel it’s 1.5mm at the 12th fret low and 1.6 high. Back in the day I’d tell them I wanted “low” section because I thought that was the most desirable setup on electrics. But I’ve found that I like a mid height the best cause I can be more aggressive with my picking and strumming without buzzing and the guitar has more sustain with open notes.
>>
>>128089663
With all due respect, suck my dick from the back with your mothers lips while holding your shitplank, faggot.
>>
>>128089601
I forgot to mention it also includes a neck dressing, full guitar polish, pickup height adjustment, nut file and polish, bridge file and polish if necessary. It comes back perfect.
