It is begging for a way to get piano like sustain but I don't see how that would be physically possible, and the action is so low it has an inherently weak tone imo. But I also don't think anyone has really managed to push it to its limits either, its a very interesting instrument for sure.

Alright so I’m going to have around 1400 left for a guitar. Guitars I’m currently considering are:The candy apple red charvel pro mod plus with Floyd 1500 that I would swap the pickups on for JB/59Save 500 dollars more and pick up a used Les Paul standard 60s A used but excellent condition PRS Custom 24 CE (bolt on maple neck) on marketplace near me for 1200. Only problem is it’s like a darker seafoam greenish color but it almost looks gray. I’ll put that one in pic related. I’m sure I could talk him down to 1100 on that oneAs far as value for the money the PRS takes the lead as it’s a 2700 dollar guitar new and they usually go for 1800-2000 on reverb. Versatility is a tie between the charvel and PRS Absolute toan and aura has to go to a Les Paul but it will severely limit the songs I can play until I can afford a guitar with a Floyd and one with single coils.I’m leaning toward the PRS because I know it’ll do all the grunge and hard rock stuff I want to do, it won’t require that I spend extra money on a setup or pickups. It is a USA made guitar with USA core pickups and locking tuners. It has coil splits that sound pretty good actually. I know I like the way PRS feel and play. But idk let me know what you guys think or if you have any other suggestions for sub 1500 dollar guitars.

They sold me the one with the nicest top for $1140 with free shipping. And I just don’t think I can get a better playing or sounding guitar for that price.

The electro interference has changed modes the past week. I've been recording silence and expanding and compressing. I lowered the frequencies above and below human hearing spectrum and boosted them. Doubled it and moved it around until phase cancelation occured. I translated the signal into Morse code via ai and turned it into an equation. I divided by πr^2. It seems to be pointing to a central harmonic node. Either way I'm inverting the phase and playing it through the subdermal cochlear implants. Seems to cancel out the interference somewhat. >>128259962Thanks>>128259973Don't think I can do 8 hours a day lol. I don't want to be the best anyway just good enough to make music
I don't understand how to do double/triple stops fast without hitting notes I don't want to hit.Like if it's in the middle strings, how do I not hit the wrong strings on the bottom or top? I can't mute everything with my fretting hand and I can't palm mute specifically those strings
>>128259973I always hear this but I also hear of classical musicians taking 3 years to learn a single fucking piece. something is not adding up
>>128260049No one is actually practicing 8 hours a day
>>128259998Space your sessions out AND never play when you’re bored. You should always associate it as an outlet. Listen to the most advanced things out there and try to fall flat. That’s your ceiling and you can then work up techniques that open up new avenues. Slide guitar is one step away from Carnatic music. That being said, fastest way to improve is to learn another instrument. Piano gave me contrapuntal capabilities after I hit a rut. Banjo gave me fingerpicks, banjo rolls, and frailing. Violin gave me expanded awareness of strings a 5th apart and how to keep up rhythm as part of a “arm dance”

Reverb said that i had to cancel it even though the transaction already happened and the buyers situation post transaction was irrelevant. they said if i didn't refund then the buyer could make a claim against me even though the transaction was processed and everything was done by the book. i'll never sell on Reverb ever again because buyer's remorse nulled my transaction. fuck them

>>128262179simple. if you complete the transaction. pay your money, you purchased something. there is no marketplace if you can change your mind the next day. it rewards impulsive retards over legitimate transactions. post sale it isn't my problem as a seller if "something comes up". that is your problem after an agreed up transaction is completed.

>>128262280Yeah but if you put on your page that you have a 7 day refund policy then within a days if i try to return something you have to honor it. If his page said no returns after purchasing then I wouldn't have bought in the first place
>>128262336forgot song also has Dmin. I don’t mind barre chords on the E string but major barre chords on the A string suck dick
>>128262336You don't need to make a full barre chord for that B flat though, just make an A shape with one finger over the high E string instead of the full barre
>>128262336bar chord changes are the foundation of finger strength. you have to do it
>>128262343my page said "no refunds". buyer accepted my terms and purchased it. all i'm saying is that Reverb doesn't give a shit about your store policy they will favor the buyer and cancel their order even after it was processed and completed for as minimal of a reason as "something came up" 24 hours post transaction. not my problem.
>>128262381:(. is it crazy I don’t mind the index finger part it’s the fitting all my fat fingers on the A shape?>>128262368I think you’re right. part of the song structure is playing a walking bass line on the downbeat of each bar (its 3/4) but it’s coming off of the F7 and going back into the F so I think it would be very easy to make a substitution
>>128262237not enough
>>128262402Oh yeah then that's fucked. If it's no refunds then no refunds.
>>128262061>contours of a Mustang they’re a slab body like a Tele without any contours
>>128262416Just bar it with your index or middle then, nobody plays an A with 3 fingers anymore that’s SO last summer
>>128262141I think the cream looks the best but get ones with black numbers on them. If they’re too skinny you could try gibson 60s style top hat knobs with the chrome center caps, seeing as it has an HH configuration. Or you could go with tele style in a black or cream like anon suggested.
>>128262141Actually didn’t realize you replaced the tone with a coil tap switch. Idk maybe black tele style metal would be best to keep that from drawing a ton of attention. If I were you I’d put the switch in the number 1 position and reroute the volume to where the switch is now. Unless you like it being in the way of your picking hand, but it’s your guitar not mine.
>>128262141The brushed chrome is my favorite and blends the best in that lineup btw
>dime the amp>feather the pick>shim the neck>scoop the mids>push the circuit>move more air>block the trem>deck the bridge>pinch the harmonic>follow the drummer>lead the bass>boomer the bend>isolate the power supplies>swell the volume>loop the riff>tap the tempo>wiggle the vibrato>cock the wah>sweeten the tuning>vary the attack>visualize the metronome

new Gibson SG bass, new fender vintage II p bass or 1972 p bass in very good condition for sale near me ($4200)? if I don’t buy the vintage one I can get a very good DI box also

>>128262816that’s what I’m thinking also. I love me a p bass but I do miss that bridge pickup. I think with the stomp box (darkglass anagram) I can color the sound enough to cop a bridge pickup
>>128262788CBS Femders are still really, really cool but not for the premium they go for nowadays. For many many years CBS Fenders were unwanted compared to pre CBS and even modern production and the price reflected that, but to pay literal Custom Shop prices for CBS is dumb, especially when a Custom Shop will be a much nicer feeling and playing instrument.

>>128262935Daphne blue P bass with a white guard and rosewood board is one of my top 5 favorite P bass colors, but Daphne blue with tort is super ugly and Daphne blue with maple is also super ugly. If it’s rosewood and white pick guard I’d go for the $400 off, if not can’t go wrong with sunburst.
I might buy two klones just to switch between using it as a boost and full on drive, is this stupid? Is there a better way to do it?
