You need to read up on your /gg/ lore seinfeld doesn't voca.
I have suspicions of which reggular is which.
What’s the deal with Vocaroo? You click a link, and suddenly you’re hearing someone breathe directly into your soul through a potato.“Hey man, just wanted to say…” SKKKKKKHHHHHHWhat? What did you want to say?! Speak up, you’re being devoured by static! And everyone treats it like it’s some sacred art form.“Oh bro, the delivery doesn’t hit unless it’s on Vocaroo.”Yeah, because the delivery doesn’t hitit’s buffering halfway through your punchline! And you can’t trust them, either.Could be a confession, could be a meme, could be a guy eating chips into a $4 headset.Every Vocaroo is like opening a mystery box of disappointment.

>>128398434Be more freeform. The majority of nonserious people don't want any rules or pressure. They can normally handle challenges though. Bait them into playing music instead of noodle slop. "Do you have any good riffs?" Then try to chain a few of those. "Can we play something that sounds X?" Like sad, eerie, happy, radio, whatever style. Just vamp on the first thing that comes to mind and hits the fretboard. Maybe "lets write a 10 minute Blink song" or some music you guys connect with. Give them structure without forcing them into a disciplined routine that they'll reject anyway. Recording is nice that if you ever hit on something decent, parties might want to try to play the piece again or make it better.

I thought we were having a chill night. Why can't it be chill?
What am I ding wrong with my pull offs? I'm trying to speed them up but if I do a 3 note pull off for example, on the high E string, I will pull the string off the fretboard and then it makes a harsh sound, also if I'm playing on the middle 4 strings, I'll hit the string below sometimes. How do I fix this?
>>128399373Are you flicking? I'll ask my guitar teacher if she flicks when she's pulling off.

>>128400534Not too shabby. Thanks, anon.
>>128400642NTA, but that's with heavy playing too. They'll last far longer for the average player.
>>128400657Cool, thanks. I have a nice JP made Ibanez with nickel frets on sale in my area rn, so I was wondering whether I should bite. Now I think I might.
>>128400534>>128400418Steel on the other hand will (allegedly) last longer than you, so it's probably worth the upgrade if it's an option and you plan to keep the guitar forever.
>>128400375So THAT'S what that fucking Standby switch was for all these years!
>>128400691Yeah, I think I will refret the guitar with stainless steel frets eventually, if I get it. I was just afraid that I'd have to do it within a year or something.
>>128400704SS frets only started becoming common very recently. Fretted instruments have been doing fine with nickel for ages so don't worry too much about it.
>>128400716Aight. Thanks a bunch.
>>128400485i love the RE-202. I used it on my board almost all the time since i got it, I also used it on my tb3MO when i was making acid music. But yeah I admit that right now it's just a very expensive slapback echo that's addding stereo dimension to my guitar, which I record in mono lol. Sometimes I even want th smaller one because it would be more convenient, but I like dub shit too and wanted the big one. There's so much BOSS gear that I want to get, a lot of it older. Idk how I became a BOSS head after using so many pedals in the past but I love the form factor and sounds.

>>128400736>this dude played sax, why didn't make an electric saxophone or somethingHe was more of an electrician. He started making PAs before any instruments. Then amps. The guys who were buying his amps were mostly country music guys at the time and they nudged him to make instruments too. He was clever enough to learn how to make steel guitars first (since it was what country dudes who wanted), then guitars. The afterthought product...that ended up being huge.
>>128400799nah bro
>>128400729Yeah I've been eyeing the RE2 for a while simply because it's cheaper, but it doesn't have the kind of controls that allow you to do the kind of live tweaking that makes anything become dub. For me, it's the Italian 1965 Welson Kinton
If you want a certain sound, or range of sounds, how do you tell if you need a certain type of electric guitar, or amp, or pedal/effect? Can you just keep buying/chaning effects to change the sound and use any guitar or amp?
is it true that for some asian cultures the minor key actually sounds happy rather than sad?
>>128402789imo the most important part of the amp is the speaker, but uncs will be hooked to vaporwave and tell you loads of BS about pedals and amp headswith an EQ pedal, some distortion and a good speaker you can do almost everything, 99% of an amps character is actually the speaker and when you try out different speakers with the same amp head it really shows

>>128405317the q54 is like <5lbs its a significant weight difference
>>128405411then go for it I guess
>>128405354
that's why I gave my guitar a size reduction. now its knobs are weirdly spaced but at least my back doesn't hurt any more
>>128405456fair enough i was just asking if anyone had any experience with headlesstheres a few out there so exploring options
>>128405457>literal chatGPT slopfucking lol. When I was infantry we would walk around all day with 50-90 pounds of shit strapped to us. If you distribute it well, you'll hardly feel it. Don't be a bitch, anon, and don't rely on chatjeetpeetee to make your arguments - it'll strip you of your own ability to express arguments.
>>128405503mmk jocko lmfaochatgpt just approximates the available information on the internetyou sound like a boomer who took my question as like a personal challenge to the concept of masculinity for no reasoni notice shoulder soreness after long practice sessions so i was inquiring about lighter guitars, if you dont have useful input thats cool
>>128405540nta but start bulking, sissy
>>128405540That's your problem - you're ignoring useful input. The useful input is "lift more"Do you want me to lay out the exercises you should do to improve your strength and stamina in your shoulders? Because I can do that. You shouldn't try and minimize pain through making your load lighter - fundamentally, you should try to increase the loads you can carry - this will help you FAR MORE as you age. Take it from an oldfag - you hit 30 and if you aren't getting stronger, you're actively making yourself weaker. I'm not saying this to be a cunt, I'm saying it because it's the true answer. If you want to improve your stamina with a strapped guitar, your upper, middle, and lower trapezius and rhomboids are going to need strengthened. This will pya off dividends as you age. I could genuinely give you a workout plan if you're not going to be a smarmy little cunt about it, because I genuinely do want to be helpful. But this is 4chan - if you can't stand to hear "don't be a bitch" when you're being a bitch why the fuck would you post here?
>>128405618thats a long post my dudei skimmed it but you still just sound like youre still just lecturing me about lifting which I already do and its also off-topic for the guitar threadif you have any recs or input regarding headless guitars ill read it but otherwise pretending youre actually being helpful and on-topic by lecturing me about how hardcore and badass you are for wearing backpacks full of bricks or whatever when you were younger is really cringe lmao
femboy gf like this to practice guitar with?
>have to go over to family’s house for a birthday>just wanna stay home and keep my toobs warm and play guitar
>>128405900you can practice reading music or ear training with earbuds or music theory or something while youre therejust dont be too autistic about it, they are your family after all
>>128405689Whatever faggot.
Got one of picrel second hand for one of my axes but it doesnt have a cover. Can I just slap a classic 6-hole cover if it fits? I have a few of those laying around.Worried about tone issues because these pickups come with different covers from factory.

>>128405104I don't hate headless but they hardly solve any problems for guitarists. You can travel with an electric guitar easily, especially if it's a bolt on.
>>128406136nta but I just have a cheap ernie ball strap from when I was dirt poor and unemployedits alright but its kind of uglygot any comfortable recommendations?
>>128406163>>128406126meant for
>>128405457Why are we pretending that every guitar is 10 pounds, you can find 7 or 8 easyAlso why are we pretending like you play for 6+ hours every day, no you don’t
>>128403113NTA but personally, Jags and Jazzmasters have a wider range of tone than Strats or Telecasters with the caveat that you get one with a rhythm circuit. They’re also more robust guitars, if I had to pick one guitar it would be a Jazzmaster with Jag as a close second. Another major selling point is the tremolo, the Jag/JM trem is the best trem for what I use a trem for. They can be finicky guitars if you don’t set them up properly (shimmed neck and raised bridge to get a better break angle for low action and increased tuning stability). They were designed to be Fender’s deluxe models and this remains to be the case to this day. They filter a lot of people and have gained a bad rep due to reddit queers adopting them as musical Funko Pops. That shouldn’t deter you, they are excellent guitars and are a great platform for mods.
>>128405365Whatever you have to tell yourself bub.
>>128406163i gotchu bro
>>128406190>more robust than the Telecaster aka the hardware store special
>>128406216unironically would
>>128406163Levy 3.5-4.5 padded strap if you want the most comfort
>>128406190Not him, but I love jags, I just can’t personally quit teles. No matter how many times I try, the simplicity brings me back, but I play a lot of math-y stuff. If I played more shoegaze or alt stuff I would 100% go full jazzmaster.
>>128405249You know it’s going to be an Aliexpress Chender, don’t you?
>>128397941Learning the bass cured my racism.
>>128406235ill check it out anon thanks
https://youtube.com/shorts/FDIXDbs5OdYI do want a jazzmaster but literally all of them seem like a project. I don't know what it is about them, on paper the trem has less moving parts than a strat trem, but it's always some bullshit that you don't really see with a strat.
>>128406294not mine ,':^)
maybe i should sell my bass guitar
>>128406190>Jags and Jazzmasters have a wider range of tone than TelecastersMy brother in Christ, I am a hard shill for offset guitars but even I think that's some crackhead-tier bullshit.
>>128405484what did you downsize to?
>>128406021worried bump
>>128406371NTA but objectively 1M pots in the lead allow for a wider range of tones already, and 25k pots in the rhythm circuit provide more on top of that. And unlike a mustang out of phase the tones are actually useful.
luv me Telesluv me Strats luv me Mustangluv me Les Paulluv’d me Jazzmaster when I had one would luv me Jaguar (IF I HAD ONE)just luv guitars bros, but luv me Fenders most
>>128406410the route and pickguard needs to be wide enough for a cover, if so yes a cover will wotk
>>128406507yes it fits just fine there, so the 6-hole cover shouldn't affect the pickup's output negatively, right?
I don’t keep up with or care about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but hearing that my nigga Warren Zevon got inducted made me sit down and learn some guitar parts from his records
I don't like shortscales but if you find yourself unable to adapt to one, that's a technique problem not the guitars problem.

>>128407141So you can be a whiney bitch? I had sympathy for G&L owners recently, but I don't get them anymore. They think it's the end of the world that Fender bought the assets. Like this retard. >>128407141I can't wait for fender to put z pickups and the dual fulcrum vibrato in a Strat, and never use the G&L name ever.

What's with the G&L hate?
>>128407413No idea, I fucking love G&L.
I fucking love another company doing exactly the same thing Fender has been doing for a century.
I don't hate em but after the revstar I think i'm set.
[...scene...]Gary Greaser walked down the dark path off of bourbon st. The bass from the clubs oozing down the alleyway. He had his resonator in hand. Revolver in his waistband. He knocked on Leo Gauss's door. He let him in and led him to his laboratory. "So you think you can add built in plate reverb and a fuzz switch?" Gary tentatively asked. "I can do that, I'm also going to put in piezo pickups, and a realtime reverser. Midi pickups too, Gary. You're gonna love your tone", Leo said as he was rolling a huge joint. His pupil like saucers. "Leo man be careful, remember what they did to Syd...". "I can taste your thoughts Gary. I can feel the pain in you. But it feels beautiful"...(Apple bottom jeans starts playing/flash cut to Gary and the Shack Boyz jamming in a seedy stripclub. Everybody out of their mind as Gary shreds open another dimension on is cyber resonator)Fade to black

>>128406297no problem. might not be enough for you but worth eliminating the strap before buying a different guitar. I play a 9 pound bass for 4-5 hours with no problems
>>128406248For me it’s the opposite, I like all the knobs and switches. They don’t get in my way and I actually use the rhythm circuit on both guitars and the treble cut on the Jags. People bitch about accidentally hitting switchs which I can see on a Mustang (just add spacers or buy low profile switches, simple as) but on Jags/JMs you have to be trying to hit them, have some care and precision for fuck sake. I definitely get the appeal of a Tele, I haven’t had one since I was a teenager and was too new to guitar to appreciate it, now over a decade later I can see really loving one once I find the right one. It’ll be a deluxe though, I have other guitars that cover twang well enough, twang really isn’t my thang DESU.
>>128398718You gotta love em
