its easy if you play chord spam slop like Taylor Swift but believe it or not many "musicians" cannot play even chord slop, that is too difficult for them, they are lazy and refuse to build the muscle memory to remember the chord shapes.

Guitar is hard if you attempt wankery like Steve Vai. Which is usually the most fun stuff you can do solo.

Why do people buy influener guitars? Seems retarded to someone who doesn't follow eCelebs.

Boomers are kinda understanable buying sig guitars -- they want to larp as a competent musician but buying guitars built around an internet shill seems odd.

As a bedroom playing old retard with 0 aspirations and some justinguitar beginner modules under my belt, I'm looking at the positive grid spark NEO headphone amp. Mainly because I'm so shit at playing that the time it takes to get the katana mini out and plug it in combined with the shame of my amplified attempt at a House of The Rising Sun riff puts me off bothering to plug in at the moment; and like all good chumps, spending money makes me feel all warm inside.
Anyone got any experience with the NEOs? Are they decent for practice?

my blues jr is actually used regularly in bars. solandos plexis, and mesa boogies are vanity amps for the most part.
mesa boogie being the least of the worst offenders.

i am not impressed by cabs and half stacks. all they do is tell me you play at home. when i see small combos it tells me you actually touch grass and people view you playing.

I'm watching Jake Lizzio and he said the second chord of a minor scale is a half-diminished chord.
Why? Isn't it a fully diminished chord since both the third and the fifth are flattened?

I gigged for almost a decade and saw bigger stages than you'll ever see. 2x12s and 4x12s sound fuller and more well rounded than a 1x8-1x12 combo. The cabinets are actually made with high grade plywood, rather than your boxy sounding combo made of mdf. I have plenty of space and money so I don't have to make comprises like you do.

He must mean the Aeolian or Natural Minor scale. A Half-Diminished chord is built on the 7th degree of a Major Scale, and the 2nd degree of that Major Scale's relative Minor (The Aeolian or Natural Minor Scale). A Diminished chord just describes a triad: 1 b3 b5. The 7th would be a b7 in the case of a Half-Diminished chord (the chord that naturally arises from stacking diatonic 3rds on the 7th degree of the Major scale, or off the 2nd degree of its relative Minor. That gives you 1 b3 b5 b7. A Diminished 7th chord in contrast gives you the intervals 1 b3 b5 bb7, and it does not naturally occur diatonically to the Major scale.
>>
>>128491496
The double flat 7 (bb7) is enharmonic to the natural 6th scale degree. Anyway
Diminished (Triad):
1 b3 b5

Half-Diminished Chord (also called m7b5):
1 b3 b5 b7

Diminished 7th Chord:
1 b3 b5 bb7
>>
>>128491387
It is half dimished.
Between the third and fourth note of the scale there is a major third
Full diminshed is minor third, minor third, minor third
Half diminished in A minor consists of notes B, D, F, A
if that were full diminished the notes would be B, D, F, Ab

Loov me new Jismaster. Playing and enjoying it is making me appreciate and enjoy my Noventa even more than I did before. What a mad strategy, putting 3 P90s on a JM… it’s also making me want to convert one of my Mustangs and Jags to 25” scale length. >>
>>128492006
In case of triads then yes, a chord consisting of notes B, D, F (in A minor) would be a diminished triad
>>
>>128491877
I have that one and an old MS50G. The latter is way easier to use. I don't know why they made the new ones so complicated.
>>
>>128491877

Honestly once you dial it in you prob dont need to fiddle with it too much, but I do agree the interface is kind of a pain.
>>
>>128492006
I think a lot of guys do this thing where they just sub in half-diminished instead of playing a diminished triad because it's easier to grab the chord grip or they like the voicing better, and in most pop and rock stuff diminished isn't really used that much anyway unless it's meant to be the upper extension of a V7 chord.

if that's gibson actually doing that to their own guitars i have two questions
>why
>do they really not have a better way to do this than a bulldozer
>>
why do the treble and bass knobs on an amp seemingly always reduce overall volume
a dedicated EQ pedal doesn't do that
>>
>>128492332
Because most are passive filters that cut down the signal in a certain frequency range. A few amps do have active filters in the tone stack to prevent this but it all depends on the design of the amp.

I'm not going to click but I assume it just tells you to send the Micro Dark FX send to your tube amp's FX return and yes that's fine to do. You don't need to plug the MD into any cab when you run it since it's a solid state power amp. I used to do it when I had a MD.

I think it's just stock too. The Ric version of P-90s? They just call them High Gain, but they're single coils. Awesome guitar. Ric's coolest shape, besides the bass.

they wouldnt because they psychologically justify their mustangs toylike quality and sound as being unique and special because they're less common.

mustangs have a cheap look feel and sound. strats and teles mog them to oblivion. even the offsets do.

Cream white finish

non recessed input jack
three-saddle chrome bridge

Apparently he added a neck pickup and changed the wiring to accommodate that, and no longer has the Esquire pick guard. I lost some interest at that point honestly, I don’t need another Telecaster. The appeal of the single pickup Esquire for me is the different pickup options that’ll do something different than the Teles I already have
