Strat-like bridges are the most versatile and no fuss. You can float it, deck it, hardtail it, mess with any tunings on the fly unlike Floyds and Evertunes, you can have a trem without being stuck only with hardtail, and you can intonate each saddle unlike a traditional Tele.

Yes. Yamaha has very strict control over their products. When I worked at lgs we were informed that it we discounted Yamaha products outside of Yamahas own promotions we would lose our license. Military discount and stuff like that we could do.

Stay in tune for more than 30 seconds, have true octaves, be properly intoned, not get the high e stuck under a fret, have responsive electronics that are properly soldered, capable of being properly set up, sustain, not sheer strings at the bridge, doesn't look like I can only play Smoke on the Water on it, have an actual tremelo not a fixed bridge with a whammy bar for some reason, not shaped like I get buttfucked, to name a few.

the minor pentatonic part at the beginning and the end is extremely generic. the twiddly bits in-between are cool though. or will be if you actually practice. if this was more precise it could almost sound like delta Horse Lords or some shit. also, tune your guitar.

Thank you for the HL comparison anon! I normally write really gay shit, might be the first time someone’s name checked something cool about me. Finally finished my parts tele. It’s so nice brehs!
This is my first tele in years. My first guitar like a decade ago was a squier affinity tele and it fucking sucked. This one is amazing though.

I worked at a company where one of the founders was so incompetent that the others bought him out after 10 years for 100M. The dude turned around and invested a good chunk of that into bitcoin, this was probably 2015 before BTC took off.

The funny part. He kept a good chunk of it in mount gox, which later went under cause the main guy stole all the BTC from the people who used his "bank" to store their buttcoins.

Sometimes ....
>>
>>128790778
I remember the mt gox heist. That was how most btc trading houses disappeared back then, one of the founders stole all the magic coins and moved to Costa Rica

Fender CD-60/CC-60, my friend. Dirt cheap and very good quality. I play a $1000 Taylor now, but every time I pick up my CC-60 I’m still impressed by how well it holds its own.

>>
>>128791955
They are pretty cool and versatile guitars, ignore the seething offset haters.
>>
Even among offsetfags the Jazzmaster and Mustang are way more popular, there's a reason the Jaguar gets the least out of all of Fenders "regulars"
>>
Jaguar is style over substance. It's just "muh chrome". They look cool, that's it. The pickup switches are the stupidest shit ever, there's a reason nobody else including fender does that shit on other models

True, but on every model where they replace it with a blade switch they don't put a full rhythm circuit. And some of them don't even have a full sized route even if you wanted to put one in, so it's one step forward two steps back.

>>128792105
I’d argue it’s the opposite. It’s Fender trying to add as much as he can to the guitar with all the switches and circuits and capacitors. It’s too much when the Strat was already around for almost decade prior to the Jaguar and was already nearly perfect. They're over engineered. They’re still cool guitars though, I’d never want one as my only guitar but as something to compliment my main guitars for it’s different available tones and sounds I wouldn’t mind one. I think it really shines in the role of a complimentary guitar to your main guitar to use in the studio to pull different sounds out of. Notice how the anons who have Jaguars also have multiple other guitars; the Jaguar acts as a sonic compliment to those.

It's like a single channel amp, but it has idk 10 presets that you can program. The knobs move themselves into position after you save the settings.

It's antithetical to the type of thing I'd normally play. It just sucks when you make interesting tones, but it's really inconvenient to get in and out of them.
>>
So is it normal for each string to be a different height?
>>
What would Kingfish do?
Surely not this brother.
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQFqimtopu0
>>
>>128793969
Not exactly. They all ring out differently when plucked and need to clear the fretboard to prevent buzzing. The clearances need to be around the same height, but the resting string will be slightly different.
>>
Look at this for example.
https://youtu.be/2AEn-QhUDaE
at 7 minutes he finally copies settings. There's twice as many eqs and volumes as a normal amp plus the controls have secondary functions.

It's too much and he'd never get to any other special configuration live.

So I took a fret beam to my knockoff PRS in order to level its frets. I got rid of the buzzing, yet the strings still scratch against them when I do bends.
You'd think the beam treatment would have smoothed them out. Guess I'll try taking steel wool to them and see what happens.
It also sounds like it has a bit of reverb even when I don't have it going through a reverb pedal or with reverb enabled on the modeler. I don't mind that foible really but I wonder what's causing the effect

Mine's a yamaha rgx112p that my parents got me for xmas in '93. Do you guys hold the pick so it naturally angles on up strums or do you hold it tighter to where you need to angle your hand on up strums?
>>
>>128794206
My hand stays in place in the sense that I don’t twist my wrist while strumming, hand goes up and down at the wrist while strumming but no twisting.
>>
>>128794223
Guess you're muting the strings you don't want to hit?
>>
>>128794206
I think if you're using your wrist to make the picking motion it will naturally angle up on upstrokes and down on down strokes. I usually only use a tighter grip when I'm using my whole forearm. in that case the attack is more perpendicular whether I'm upstroking or downstroking. I make no effort to angle the attack because it doesn't feel like I need to
>>
>>128794233
That or just only hitting the strings I want to hit. If I need to angle the pick I angle it using the fingers holding the pick.

sound waves emanating from the maple cap are reflected by the brim of these back into the wood which interrupts the resonance because the reflected sound waves lose frequency and creates 4 little pockets of dead zone. a speed knob doesn't do this, but if you like a witch hat aesthetics you can sand a 45 degree bevel beneath each knob which allows the sound waves to bounce off at an angle that won't dampen your maple cap. problem is this devalues a valuable witch hat, so if your axe is vintage buy a new set of witch hats and put the old ones in a ziploc bag in a dark, cool place
