That was really bad. I usually hate to be critical because I've completely shit the bed in live performances too but that was pretty embarrassing. Might've been salvaged if the tone wasn't so dry. Just put some heaps of reverb and delay on it. Midiverb II patch 98 or 99 or something.

Normies will lap it up, but the knowers will know. My brother saw a college concert where an incompetent but good looking guitarist acted cutesy with the crowd and the (female) crowd went wild. Ofc the music majors and guitar nerds in the crowd would have been nonplussed and even pissed and jealous on how a scrub could get such a response.
Personally I'd cut him some slack he's better as a composer/arranger, not a live performer. Even Michiru Yamane fucked up performing the piano intro live in her own composition for Symphony of the Night.

One week later and after experimenting with all the onboard toan switches the Jag is comfortably sitting at the number three slot
>Tele
>LP Special
>Jag
There’s a chance it might take the number two slot after a few months. There are things that it does that none of my other guitars can do and that makes it valuable as more of a texture/overdub guitar for recording. There is Power Tab 2.0 I understand...new to me so it seems to have been forked or resurrected. Haven't tried it and on the issues tab there are 111 issues...but the project is not dead yet so that's cool!

I've been avoiding pedals because funkopops blah blah but maybe it really is the solution here, I miss the feel of getting loose and having fun with the guitar instead of seeing it as just practice routine

The most I have on a board at any given time is tuner->OD->fuzz->reverb->delay. Falling down the consumer rabbit hole isn't necessary, but having time based effects at your disposal lets you approach playing differently. I picked up a keeley omni for $70 used recently specifically for it's plate verb setting and it's fantastic. You don't need to spend a ton.

Just a quick 1000 grit rub on a gloss neck turned it into a satin like feel. It doesn't even look all sanded down.

I don't see how. Do you know why it would be? There's still some finish on it. It's just sanded lightly to a smoother feel.

Fender should just incorporate all Charvel updates into their main designs.
Keep Jackson separate for the real metalheads.
>>
>>128800702
Why? The crowd that likes Fender doesn’t want Charvel specs

Stainless steel frets have a little ping in their top end that nickel ones dont. Quality fret wire that you find on MIAs will last years anyways, stainless steel isnt worth the extra price.
>>
>>128800710
Well, I mean, I'm one of them. I like a bit from both camps. They even put some of those updates in the Ultra line, but Charvel has those carves and luminlay dots and other little things even on their cheap MIMs.
One main thing I'd like on a Fender is the deeper trem cavity (for the standard trem on Charvels, not the Floyds). It sinks in and allows a deeper floating bridge while still looking flat. Like a Floyd-lite. https://youtu.be/dLaGYMRe9lo?t=59
