Here's the San Dimas 24 fretter mentioned last thread. Rockin guitar, but I hate Floyds. I just want something Strat sized with a traditional bridge.
>>128813877I'd get a classic vibe strat myself if I ever wanted a strat. The vintage look with six screw trem and 21 frets is what I like about it. Any modern iteration of it, whether fender's or other company's, is just a boring ass guitar to me.
>>128813736Why they all slouchin like Coraline’s dad?
>>128813736>jag in the back with a three way and no rhythm circuitgayest thing in the pic
>>128813956That's what I usually play. But I've been jonesing for a bridge HB again..and kind of want 24 frets to make it different enough from my usual guitars.
>>128813877>I just want something Strat sized with a traditional bridge.have you looked into Fender Stratocasters?
>>128813956>I'd get a classic vibe strat myself if I ever wanted a stratgo a step above and get a Mexican strat. I have a CV and it's good but feels cheap compared to any Mexican Strat I've ever owned, and that's been like 9
>>128814002It's what I already play, but Fender doesn't make any 24 fretters atm. Especially without a Floyd Rose.
>>128813877>Floyd>HSSEwwwThe DK24 HSH is literally superior, for HSS I'd just get a normal Strat
>>128813760Me too sis!!
>>128814018I think they are superior, except for the body size. I mean, I was agreeing with this anon who said they're a bit on the small side. ---> >>128813690Nothing really fills the niche of what we're talking about. That is, a Strat body with 24 frets. Nothing cheap at least. I think Anderson or Suhr make something like that, but those are crazy prices.
>>128813736I have one of those yellow Precisions, I put some flats on it and it plays and sounds great
>>128813981Yeah that's understandable. Unluckily, 24 frets usually come with floyds which is a pain from what little experience I had with it. Still wishing I didn't sell it though. Hope you find something that suits you. >>128814014Oh I fucking wish fender kept making those old mexi standards. One of my biggest regrets is not getting one back in the day. These new player ones are just meh to me. And honestly, I'm used to playing cheap, badly set-up guitars so I wouldn't mind. As long as it stays in tune and the frets are done well, I'm gonna be happy. Though my next guitar is definitely a PT special. I want a Tele style with an arm cut so fucking bad it's unreal and those ones are the sexiest option for a good price.
Is Lenny Kravitz considered a good guitar player?
>>128814073My problem with Floyds is I like changing tunings a lot... and don't have 10 guitars for each tuning (nor do I want 10 guitars). I could deal with the hassle if I just stuck with one tuning. But to change a tuning, you have to take off the neck lock, and adjust the springs in the back everytime and basically go through a whole new setup ordeal just for a new tuning. It's fucking stupid. Same thing with Evertunes.
>>128814055im that guy and followed the same roadyour next choice are ibanez premium azthen japan only schecters, still with gotohsthen ibanez prestige az, everything else above have some variant of edgethen suhr moderns and tom andersons are about the same pricesweetwater man almost sold me a pro mod ferrari red charvel but i don't like floyds

>>128814095Yeah that's why I hate the two point trem on my benton and why I'd want a sex screw. Easy to deck and can change tunings on the fly. From what little I've heard of evertunes, I'd never wanna go with that.
>>128814090JUST A LITTLE FUCKIN DRAGONFLY
>>128814035It sucks! Haha. Being drunk is nice but the drawbacks aren't worth it. I'm hoping to quit after new years and get my shit together. Thinking about the fact I could have bought a guitar or two with all the money I spent on beer makes me feel like a total retard lol.
>>128814055Fender will never shit out a 24 fret Stratocaster because a) its going to be ugly and b) they're puristsHSS is the best they'll do, enjoy the Ultra Luxe IIHH and HSH are heresy to FenderEven the HM """Strat""" is just a Dinky body

>>128814135Wait, what's the issue with two points? They don't do well with on the fly tunings? lol now I gotta another thing to consider.
>>128814166>Even the HM """Strat""" is just a Dinky bodyIt's also 25" scale, strangely. And Floyds...
>>128813736>No one upvoted my schizo podcast
>>128814170Love the ambience man. It's making me a little wobbly and dizzy.
Why is 24 frets such a big deal? Do you really need those two or three extra semitones over a 21/22 fret neck so much that it’s a dealbreaker?
>>128814014This, the Player series are godlike for what they areIf only they used imperial so that putting US bridges and saddles will be easier
>>128814174They're meant to be floating too so basically similar to floyds but without the locking nut. Not sure how it's on others but on my benton at least the posts can't be screwed low enough for the bridge to be flat against the body so I had it angled backwards most of the time. Ended up sticking a piece of wood behind it to keep it in place. I do plan on doing some major reworking on it eventually, gonna make it a hard tail cause I'm just not a trem guy and it's got such a nice neck that I don't want it being a meh guitar.
>>128814228big deal if you're playing rock/metal and want to noodledoesn't matter for any other genreyngwie malmsteen can shred on a 21 fret and iron maiden didn't need 24 frets
>>128814228It's just be cool to have. I don't need it. The usual superstrat has a few other things I don't have atm, so add them up and it's different enough to want one around. Hotter pickups, flatter radius, etc..
>>128814247just noodle one string up and five frets back bro
>>128814243I see. I've only had one two point trem, but I don't remember much. I've mostly had 6 point Strats, Teles, and Gibsons.. and always just did on the fly tunings and little tweaks with them. Easy to work with, easy to set up.

>>128814228It's like 2 guitars in 1 -- you get the usual 12 frets and then the high pitch extended 12 frets where normally you'd get 21 or 22 frets.

Best videos on learning the major scale? Theory behind it included
No worries I forgive you
>>128815284You don’t really need a video for that, the major scale is whole step whole step half step whole step whole step whole step half step. What instrument do you play?
>>128815322Guitar but I don't understand how the WWHWWWH works when I go down/up a string.I.E. E-major scale but going down a string to A
>>128815346Ah guitar is tricky because the string spacing is asymmetrical with how there’s a fourth interval between every string except g-b which is a major third, so you have to move everything by one fret when going across the g-b gap. The best advice I have for your question is don’t fall into the trap of looking at guitar as shapes. Look at it as intervals. Chords are intervals just like scales are intervals. Play the A major scale starting on the fifth fret of the E string and play it just on that one string, up and down. Once you really have the notes in your mind, play a couple notes on the E string and then find the next two notes of the scale on the A string and then again on the next string, etc. Thinking in terms of “what note do I want next” and not in terms of “what’s the next move in a shape” is one of the best things you can do for your playing.
>>128815381I should add, sometimes it makes sense to play two notes per string, sometimes it makes sense to play three notes per string, sometimes just one note, depending on what string you’re starting from. You can start the scale from any string and in order to do this well it’s important to sort of hear in your mind the next note you want.
>>128815346 it just worksF maj3 5 63 5 62 3 52 3 51 3 51 3 5I know where my major 3rds are in the minor pent positions. It's about getting riffs out, not just running scales.
>>128815284Enough with the videos... get out a piece of paper and coloured pencils and draw it out slowly and meticulously, no mistakes. Then play it slowly and meticulously, no mistakes.

Saw another ad looking for a guitarist, but they play progressive stoner metal. Not my thing.I also find it interesting how I went on a month long spree recording and mixing music ideas, accumulating around 10 tracks. Now I'm almost a year into not recording anything. Sometimes I think about bundling the stuff I have so far into an "official album" and release it, but it feels like a waste, in case I want to rework the ideas into something better later.
I use the plugin version ;-)
>>128814825Is that a baritone neck? It looks kinda long. >>128817643He said he's in a better place now. He told me he has an infinite wall of Condors for him to customize, he has made a headless Les paul out of one with Malagolis, and it sounds almost exactly like a Tele, but is much cheaper and better quality. He has already covered most of Pearl Jam's Ten with it; he said we shouldn't worry about him, he moved on to a better place. But he said he worries about us, he says /gg/ place has lost its "kaka".

>>128817909It’s slop
>>128817915no it is real but you have to program it to get the most out of it, convoluted as fuck
>>128817915i thought it might be but slop usually doesn't manage to draw the correct number of strings and not have them tangled up like spaghetti
Why are these so hard to find in Yurp?Only two stores sell them and neither have them in stock. Just ordered two but they might not arrive until next year.
Yeah, nah I’ll stick with my Strats and Les Pauls
what's gonna happen the day paul reed smith dieshe's almost 70 already

North of the Rockies, your on the air. Lets hear some riffs.
>>128817947It's because it's not a very popular pickup type. I don't know why, because they sound incredible. Like a fat Tele. You pretty much only see rockabilly guys using them, but they're very versatile (again like a Tele).I got the TV Jones version in P90 casings for my Fano JM6. Bought them directly from the tv jones website and just paid the extra import customs shit for having them shipped to Europe. It sucks, but I think they're more than worth it.
>>128817626that's some african mahogany looking walnut

>>1288189551x12 can be too much for the bedroom actually, you set it low or get an attenuator
>>128818903bba's house is more musty looking than minimalistfag. bba can only effectively play bbq radio.
>>128818991>you set it low or get an attenuatorI thought you only use those for high gain, high wattage amps?I'm thinking of buying an ENGL or EVH tiny noob head and the 1x12 cab looks cute/perfect for that setup

>>128816738I don't understand why Roland never made a version with like, an SD-1 or something else good built in. They're wildly popular in japan and everyone knows the distortion is the only bad thing on there.

>>128820225>>128820248What makes this Larry fellow so scary and untouchable?
>>128820546Bass clone is probably tuned to bass frequencies, I can't think of many songs that used bass chorus but it might sound cool to add it to one.

explain to me why I can't stand the music that tim henson, ichika nito and the like play
>>128820944you clearly don't have a profound learning disorder
>>128820944It's like youtube shorts music. Ideas don't develop. It's just one flashy thing then a chord or two, pause, repeat. It's hyper compressed and blown out cleans, trans hypnosis music.
>>128820944they dont even play the same kind of music
>>128820944Because you like actual music.
>>128820944Only positive I can say about them is they might escape being wiped out by AI.But I could be wrong about that.
>>128818534>Wired headphones Defeats the purpose of the wireless stuff you bought. Also at that rate just get a headphone amp.
>>128821161Why? Their music already sounds like it's synthesized by robots
Does Larry Carlton also own glarry? Glarry Carlton.
>wiped out by aimusic can never be wiped out as long as there are humans on the planet
Harley Benton? Howa Bouta go get a job
>>128821292HB defeated Gibson sorry bucko.
>>128821278The ones he listed already sound like ai crap.
>>128821478Yeah, but its their brand of AI crap. They have traditional song structure though. AI understands that all too well, but the way they go about it is unique at least.I think the people who will escape AI the most are really out there avante garde type singers, who aren't even using traditional vocal styles.
I haven't learned a song in 15 years
>>128821524SameLast time I learned songs on guitar was when I had a shitty high school/early uni metal bandI did learn a bunch of songs on drums later when I was in another band tho

>>128815459I've never understood why the third is the half if the real half-note is the fourth. I mean, they literally applied the correct logic in the seventh,
>>128821763You have to choose a starting point first.
>>128821763The notes are counted, not the intervals. You also start on the root 1 instead of zero.
