It's normal English. But I just want to talk about guitars, not get bogged down in some egghead's hangups on grammar. It's used to intensify adjectives or emphasize something. Which is what I did. Rhythm guitar is "very much" melodic. A lot of it are melodic riffs.

>>128850703
are these 3 offset fags in the room with you right now?
>>
>>128852658
Bass isn't cello. There are completely different dynamics with a bow. And no bassist is Bach either.
The guitar is a polyphonic instrument, despite looking similar. With it's faster and easier action, and thin strings, it can be picked, plucked, strummed, and attacked, and ring out multiple notes at the same time to imitate more sounds and even other instruments. It's a one man band type of instrument like the piano is. The bass mostly just sounds like itself all the time and stays there. Similar to other monophonic stuff.. Like a sax or flute will always just be that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2zZl7Vifzw
And this is why you people who desperately want guitars to disappear are especially niggers. Only a nigger would give up a polyphonic instrument - and one that can be held and portable to boot.

I'm not hurt. I'm trying to educate you. It's not like I want you to stay a nigger. You could simply ascend, learn, and start playing a guitar. You'll enrich yourself by that. Not me. you can either go the route of songs have been played and achieved commercial success with zero instruments, or you can realize that a person can simply add any number of strings or effects pedals and achieve any desired result they want from a stringed instrument. saying one is more capable that the other is nonsense in any context. good day, sir

I can count the bands that were bass only on one hand. Like Morphine. And it's not that good. The rest is people sampling bassists and not even allowing real ones in their act (i.e. hip hop). While the world is full of guitar players who are just solo singer songwriters. As for plugged, they could still pull it off without bass and be huge, like a Jack White.

Interdasting, I asked this question because I've been in kind of a rut with guitar and spend most of my time on electric bass or violin. I fuggin love the rhythmic power of the bass and playing ghost notes. Most of my guitar playing these days is in the vein of either Nile Rodgers or Kim Thayil, I got real burned out on classic rock strumming. Playing bass has definitely made me a better rhythm guitar player.

They're still melodic. As much as I don't care for Green Day, he writes catchy melodies. It's just in his vocal delivery and songwriting, not the guitar.
What I'm talking about is the typical bassist's inclination towards funk and disco type stuff. Even if they play in rock, they're like the one secret wigger. Just not hip hop based wiggers.

Probably the same reason Hitler got pissed at jazz in his day. It just leads to mass degeneracy. lol. We're even worse though. All of this emphasis on "funk" and "groove" has just led to twirking 12 year olds. That's the endgame and where nigger music takes culture. >>
>>128853807
what genre are you listening to? It’s very easy to remember 1-4-5-6min in cowboy chords and you can just move them with a capo. there’s no rule that says they have to be but most songs do that

I also meant to say 1-4-5-6 gives you pretty much every genre of music on the planet and if you add the 2 you get soul Motown and jazz

I should've just asked if using barre chords to write a chord progression affects how other musicians play when they're adding more texture to the song
>>
>>128854375
different anon here, but I much prefer barre chords to open chords because you can easily bounce around between different voicings like adding in a seventh and you also have much more control over voice leading and you can make the chord changes feel like they're going up or down or doing something melodic moreso than you can with open chords. Also easier to play with left-hand muting. I don't think open vs. barre has a huge influence on what other musicians would decide to add to the song

That's not the same thing. That's the beauty of the guitar. Even a C note on the 8th fret has a different timbre as the 2nd string 3rd fret. Let alone ringing out chord shapes in different spots. A capo'ed C shape in particular might cater to some fingerstylist trying to get a Celtic type of effect, for example.
